Everyone started sitting on the dinning table. Krishna came and sat beside ankita. Sayyam came soon after Krishna and sat right in front of her. Everyone greeted each other while Krishna kept staring Sayyam angrily. Everyone started having breakfast. Rahul decided to introduce Krishna to Sayyam.
Rahul: Krishna I told about my friend right, so here he is meet Sayyam.
Krishna smiled at Rahul and with a strict look extended her hand to Sayyam for a hand shake. Sayyam immediately grabbed her hand and held it tight. Rahul continued-
Rahul: and Sayyam she is kri- (Sayyam completed it)
Sayyam: Krishna.
Everyone looked at Sayyam and Krishna who were holding each other’s hand tightly looking into each other’s eyes. Rahul was confused at the scene. Rohit spoke up.
Rohit: Sayyam do you know Krishna?
Sayyam didn’t hear it nor Krishna, they were lost again. Rahul couldn’t take the silent eye lock of Kriyam and he pulled Sayyam’s hand making him leave Krishna’s hand. Krishna and Sayyam came back to reality.
Rohit: are you guys fine, and Sayyam how many times do I have to ask you do you know Krishna?
Sayyam: I know Krishna more than anyone who have ever known her.
Rahul: really, you never told me about her, by the way who was she to you, I mean friend or cousin?
Rahul’s questions were again not heard by Sayyam because Krishna sat in front of him fidgeting with the Cutlery looking as cute as possible, Sayyam clearly remembered how Krishna had an habit of fidgeting with anything that’s around her when she is tensed. A smile formed on his face because at least these little things still remained same in this new Krishna, his heart felt a happiness he had not felt since 4 years. But anxious Rahul spoke up-
Rahul: what’s wrong with you Sayyam? Why are you so lost today? Are you there Sayyam?
Sayyam: (coming out of thoughts) yeah, umm what?
Rahul: I asked you something.
Sayyam: what?
Rahul: I asked how is Krishna related to you?
Sayyam: umm Krishna is my- (Sayyam stopped again not understanding what to say)
Krishna: some relations don’t have any name, you won’t understand our relation Rahul. But if you want a name we were friends, but then our ways parted and so did our friendship.
Sayyam looked at Krishna who was looking straight into his eyes. The rest of the breakfast went just like that with either Krishna staring Sayyam or Sayyam staring at Krishna. After the breakfast everyone went back to their work. While everyone was busy with rohit’s wedding preparations Krishna had something else in her mind.
Time skips a bit.
Krishna sat in the balcony of her room with her puppy in her lap in her usual style lost in her own thoughts, but her privacy was invaded by Rahul who entered her room with two coffee mugs. He quietly went and sat beside Krishna. Krishna looked at Rahul who was forwarding a coffee mug to her.
Krishna: what are you doing here ?
Rahul: nothing I just came to check if you’re fine or not I mean you haven’t got out of your room since breakfast. Are you fine.
Krishna: yeah I just wanted to spend sometime alone.
Rahul: why, you’re missing you’re mom right.
Krishna: no, it’s something else.
Rahul: then what, is it Sayyam who is bothering you?
Krishna was a little shocked at Rahul’s questioned.
Krishna: no why him.
Rahul: no I mean you were behaving very strangely after Sayyam came.
Krishna: no it’s nothing like that.
Rahul: ok fine but you didn’t tell how you and Sayyam know each other.
Krishna: we studied at same collage.
Rahul: oh. You know Sayyam and I have been friends since childhood, he is that one friend I never want to lose. We both have been through ups and downs together. I don’t know what I’ll do if he isn’t there.
All this while Krishna had been looking at Rahul. She knew that Sayyam’s friendship is something Rahul never want to lose, how much Sayyam meant to him. She could understand his feeling because once even she had felt the same thing for Sayyam. She had decided something that would be good for everyone.
Time skips to night
Sayyam was going to his room after the dinner when someone pulled him inside a dark room. And before he squealed he heard a voice.
Voice: don’t you dare utter a word or else there would be no one worse than me.
To which Sayyam surprisingly said
Sayyam: Krishna?
Krishna had now pulled Sayyam inside her room and locked the door. Sayyam surprised watched her actions.
Sayyam: what are you doing Krishna, don’t tell me your taking revenge for the morning, see I’m sorry ok.
Krishna: I don’t care whether your sorry or not.
Sayyam: fine as you please.
Krishna: that’s better now listen to me carefully.
Sayyam: wait, firstly you told me not to come near you And then you yourself pulled me inside your room, see I don’t –
Krishna: shusssssh, don’t even utter a word I said and please stop your nonsense.
Sayyam: ok I’ll be quiet.
Krishna: that’s better, now listen.
Sayyam: don’t tell me your going to instruct me like you always did when you got in trouble because of me.
Krishna: can you just listen to me.
Sayyam: chill, I am listening to you and anyways even if I don’t listen to you, you always know some way to make me listen to you don’t you?
Krishna: Sayyam why don’t you understand there is nothing between us now, we aren’t those 19 years old Sayyam and Krishna. Everything is changed now, there is nothing left. And those old days you’re talking about, please keep them to yourself because I don’t remember them anymore.
Sayyam: don’t lie Krishna.
Krishna: I’m not lying and can you please come back to reality.
Sayyam: what do you want to tell.
Krishna: I want to make a deal.
Sayyam: what deal?
Krishna: I don’t want Rahul or anyone in this house to find out about our past.. I don’t want them to stress out because of me. They have already suffered a lot. And especially Rahul, he considers you as his best friend and I know he’ll be shattered if he knows that you had made my life miserable.
Sayyam: so you’re doing this to save our friendship.
Krishna: I don’t want to break your friendship. I don’t want to come in between of you both and destroy your relationship.
Sayyam: done deal.
Krishna: so until this wedding gets over that is for the next 6 days, you and I will behave exactly how we behaved in collage, just enjoying life not caring about the future just living the present.
Sayyam: fine miss mathur
Krishna: but Sayyam that doesn’t mean you and I are back together, it’s just a play we are putting up to hide our past for good. And after that you’ll go back to your own world and I’ll go back to mine and just forget that we had meet.
Sayyam: I promise.
