Krishna came back home and saw Saiyyam engrossed in his laptop.
Krishna:”you already came back”
Saiyyam closed his laptop.
Saiyyam:”yes, it sas just for sometimes only. You didn’t go for shopping?”
Krishna:”yes i went….”
Saiyyam:”where are the bags?”
Krishna:”Yuvani went for shopping not me, as she is meeting Rohan’s parents today.”
Saiyyam:”you could have buy something too.”
Krishna:”ok, ok. I will buy the next time.”
Krishna went to change. And Saiyyam went back to his laptop.
When Krishna came out and saw him again on his laptop, she asked him.
Krishna:”there is lots of work?”
Saiyyam, not looking at her:”yes lots.”
Krishna:”i can help you.”
Saiyyam, realized:”no, no. It’s ok. I will do it. It’s just some accounts problem.”
Krishna:”show me. I will do it.”
Saiyyam quickly opened his account just before Krishna took the laptop.
She studied it and then did something.
Krishna:”done. Your problem is solved.”
Saiyyam:”thanks.”
Krishna:”it was not such a big problem.”
Saiyyam, whispering:”i know.”
Saiyyam:”you know accounts?”
She nodded yes.
Saiyyam:”so why don’t you join me?”
Krishna:”hmmm. Join you for….”
Saiyyam:”in my business.”
Krishna, surprised:”no…. no Saiyyam.”
Saiyyam:”you should.”
Krishna:”listen, i don’t have to work. You are here. And won’t it be uncomfortable for you?”
Saiyyam:”i know i am here but still. You can work. And this will be a benefit for me too.”
Krishna looked at him.
Saiyyam:”one that i will get someone to handle the accounts whom i can trust 100% and second is that my wife will be with me 24 hours.”
Krishna:”still Saiyyam. What will your employees say?”
Saiyyam:”they all love you. They won’t mind. Plz Krishna.”
Krishna was reluctant but agreed in the end.
Krishna:”but i will start next week.”
Saiyyam:”as you wish, ma’am.”
Krishna laughed seeing him.
She went downstairs as the servant called her.
Saiyyam went back to his laptop.
Saiyyam, to himself:”chocolate cake ordered. Decoration’s plan ready. Now…… Krishna’s gift.”
He thought for sometime.
Dinner time:
Kriyam were both on the dining table. Saiyyam was eating but Krishna was tensed.
Saiyyam:”what happened? Why are you eating?”
Krishna:”how can you eat in this situation?”
Saiyyam:”which situation?”
Krishna:”Yuvani went to meet Rohan’s parents, don’t know what must be happening over there. Hopes that all is fine.”
Saiyyam:”i am sure everything will be fine. After all, she is my sister. Don’t worry. Now eat.”
He fed her while she tried resisting. They both fed each other.
Krishna was about to go to the kitchen to keep the plates when Saiyyam pulled her to him. She fell in his arms.
He kissed her forehead.
Saiyyam:”i love you”
Krishna:”i love you too.” She gave him a quick kiss on his cheek and run from there.
At night:
Kriyam were on bed, Krishna was reading a book. Saiyyam lay on her lap and closed his eyes.
She closed the book and started to caress his hair.
Saiyyam:”Krishna…. thank you for everything.”
Krishna:”why are you thanking me?”
Saiyyam:”just wanted to say thanks.”
After sometimes, they slept hugging each other.
In the morning, Krishna woke up and didn’t find Saiyyam. It was 6 in the morning. She searched for him but couldn’t find him. She was tensed and called him. She got a message from him.
Saiyyam’s message:”morning…. i had to leave for an important meeting. But i will come back soon. Love you”
Krishna replied:”i love you too.”
And went to change. She didn’t have much to do the whole day. The servants didn’t let her do anything.
The whole day went like that only.
At night, all servants went home and Krishna was impatiently waiting for Saiyyam.
She was walking here and there, looking at the door continuously. Finally Saiyyam came there.
Krishna:”where were you? I was so scared as you were not picking up my calls.”
Saiyyam:”calm down clam down. I am fine.”
He handed her a bag and told her to change.
She obeyed him without asking any questions.
It was a white salwar kameez and she wore it. He also changed in a white shirt and blue blazer.
He was mesmerized seeing her.
Saiyyam:”Mrs. Krishna Saiyyam, will you go on a date with me?”
Krishna, smilingly, nodded yes.
In the car:
Kriyam were holding hands. Saiyyam was driving while Krishna was talking to him.
K:”where are we going?”
S:”you will see. It’s a surprise.”
K:”one hint.”
S, teasingly:”no….”
K:”ok, i will wait.”
Krishna side hugged him.
About 20/30 minutes later, Saiyyam stopped the car.
It was an isolated place, very dark.
Saiyyam climbed down followed by Krishna. She was surprised seeing the place.
Saiyyam forwarded his hand and Krishna held it. They came in a dark house like.
Krishna clutched to Saiyyam’s hand as she was afraid.
Saiyyam.”don’t be scares. I am with you.”
She relaxes and they came to a room.
Saiyyam turned on the lights.
It was an old room dust everywhere and several beds. Krishna was surprised.
Saiyyam:”Krishna, you also asked me about the orphanage i used to live. This is where i used to live.”
Krishna looked at every corner.
Saiyyam, went to a bed;”This was my temporary bed. Sometimes we got the bed or sometimes it was the floor. I spent my childhood here. I used to do my homework there.”
He goes to a desk.
Saiyyam:”see, i graved my name here.”
He touched it followed by Krishna. He was teary eyed.
Saiyyam:”come, i will show you where i used to spend my whole nights.”
He took her to another room which was worst than the first one.
Saiyyam:”i used to stay here, locked here by the warden. Not only locked i was beaten every night here. For every mistake which i had or had not done. You know what, i was the only child who came here almost every night. They used to beat with belts almost every night.”
Both were teary eyed: Saiyyam remembering all those moments and Krishna listening to his pain.
Saiyyam:”you asked me the other day, why do i associate only bad things to this orphanage. Because that’s how I used to live. When i had money, i complain against the warden so that no child goes through what i went through. It is closed now. There is only one place here where i liked to go. You want to see it.”
Krishna, wiping her tears, nodded yes.
Saiyyam held her hand and pulled her.
He brought her outside the orphanage. There was a small lake behind it.
And it was decorated by Saiyyam for Krishna today.
There were candles which was placed to form a heart on the ground and it was written Kriyam inside it.
Krishna smiled seeing this. There was a table at the other end. Saiyyam brought her there and made her sit.
Saiyyam:”this was my favorite place. I used to come here whenever i was sad or missing mum. Krishna, i just wanted to share with you that moment of my life which no one knows. I know there is only you with whom i can share all this and no one else. I am sorry that on your birthday i made you cry.”
Krishna stood up and came to him. She bend towards him and hugged him.
Krishna:”Saiyyam, in fact i am very happy that you shared it with me. I wanted to know it. And thank you for telling me this, i know it was not easy for you to come here and remembering all this again. Thank you so much.”
They continued to hug each other for sometime. Saiyyam’s phone rang. He checked the alarm. He showed Krishna the sky where fire crackers started to blow. And a big happy birthday appeared in the air.
Krishna was very happy and surprised.
Saiyyam, whispers:”happy birthday krish….”
She hugged him once more. Saiyyam brought her chocolate cake and they cut the cake together.
Krishna fed him first and then Saiyyam. He kissed her on the cheek. They took some photos.
Before going, Saiyyam handed another bag to Krishna. She opened it to find a pendent written Kriyam on it.
Saiyyam helped her to put it and in the process he kissed her neck nap which made her shivered.
