The episode starts with the Mehendi designer writing Aryan’s name onto Shahana’s hand. However, Shahana ignorant to that, continues on the phone, “Yes Aryan, what is it?” Aryan signs Ranbir that he wants to convince Shahana in private. Ranbir nods and leaves. On the phone, Aryan hesitantly asks her, “Are you alright?” Shahana is moved and replies, “Of course, why wouldn’t I be, after all I’m marrying my dream type life partner!” Aryan gets silenced for a moment on hearing that, pauses for a minute and asks, “And do you love him too?” Shahana is shocked and asks, “What do you mean?” Aryan sadly says, “I had seen the message on the bracelet which you had gifted me!” Shahana is taken aback as she reminisces of having carved her feelings on the bracelet. A tear rolls down her cheek onto the hand where the designer had been making the design. The designer looks up onto her, but Shahana avoids her. She continues with Aryan, “Have you called to remind me all that?” Aryan denies saying, “No! In fact, I wanted to propose to keep both our sangeets together as it is happening on the same day!” Shahaha is jolted and demands, “What?” Aryan continues, “I know it sounds weird but it was not my idea rather Rakhi’s, I really don’t know what she is up to, but for sure she wants to prove something to Bhai!” Shahana still unconvinced, “But how is it even possible, Aryan?” Aryan justifies, “And why is it not possible? I’m sure Prachi will convince your Maasi, Rishi, his parents and his grandmother and rest who is left is only you. Are you denying because of ME?” He stops himself only too late to realise what he just said. Tears fill Shahana’s eyes. Aryan apologises to her in a shaky voice, “I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean……”, when Shahana cuts in saying, “It’s a YES from me!” Aryan asks “Huh?” Shahana continues, “I’ve no issues in holding both the sangeet ceremonies together! See you tomorrow at the Sangeet function!” she immediately hangs the phone after saying that and tries hard to control her tears reminiscing all the dear moments she had with Aryan. At the same time, Aryan too gets reflecting on the same memories with tears filled in his eyes. (Jo dhariya jeeni re jeeni……Badlapur separation song plays in the background).
Next Day, Sangeet Ceremony
The Mehras and the Kohlis are welcoming the guests cheerfully. Abhi looks at the watch and asks Purab, “Hey, isn’t Shahana and Rishi’s Sangeet ceremony too held here? Then, why are they not here yet?” Purab laughs out and says mockingly, “Patience Abhi, Patience! Don’t worry Pragya di will come soon!” Abhi frowns at him just when Sarita ji and family along with Pragya, Prachi, Shahana and their other guests reach there. Sarita ji folds her hand in front of Abhi and thanks him, “Thanks a lot Mr. Abhishek Prem Mehra for joining our family function with yours!” Abhi shakes his head stopping her and says, “Arrey what are you doing Sarita ji? Please don’t embarrass me!” then he looks towards Pragya and says, “After all your family is like mine too!” Pragya however still being annoyed with Abhi looks away. Abhi feels bad. Pragya signs Shahana and Prachi, “Let’s go inside!” Abhi tries to talk to Pragya but then he is stopped by Rishi’s parents who introduce themselves to him and ask for his autograph. When he is busy with them, Pragya passes by him without looking at him. Abhi feels dejected with her attitude. (Kumkum Bhagya dramatic tone aa-aaa-aaaa dramatic tone plays during this moment.)
As soon as Prachi-Shahana enter, Ranbir-Aryan’s eyes fall on them, both are mesmerised by the beauty of their ladyloves. However, Rishi comes and stands next to Shahana. On seeing that, Aryan remembers the reality and quickly takes his eyes off from Shahana. But, Ranbir continues to stare constantly at Prachi. The latter sees it and signs him to stop staring at her in that manner. Ranbir shakes his head with a no. Finally, Aryan clears his throat to put a stop for Ranbir. Ranbir embarrassingly stops staring at Prachi and tells Aryan in an irritated tone, “You are such a sadist, Aryan! YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED TO THE GIRL WHOM YOU LOVE, BUT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO LOOK AT THE GIRL WHOM I LOVE! YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND THE PAIN OF LOVE” Aryan is taken aback at those words; however, he continues to retain his smile. Then, he gazes at Shahana from the corner of his eye and thinks, “I wish I could tell you Ranbir that it is not Mishti but rather Shahana whom I love!” His thoughts are soon broken when he sees someone entering. He advances towards Purab and says, “Dad! Come with me, I want you to meet someone!” Purab is surprised, but before he could question his son, the latter pulls him and brings him face to face with Disha. Both get emotional on seeing each other, that they are unable to speak out anything. Soon, Aryan breaks the ice saying, “Dad! Do you know her? This is Disha Ma!” Both Purab and Disha are astounded to hear that. Aryan looks at Disha and asks, “Can’t I can you call you like that? Because Sunil is like my elder brother; so, his mother will be like my mother too, right?” Disha nods smilingly and gets thinking, “Sunil is after all your elder brother, Aryan!” Just then Sunny arrives there along with Sanju. He gets furious on noticing Disha-Purab together as he always felt that his father’s presence gave pain to his mother. He tells his mother, “Ma, didn’t I tell you that it was not really necessary to come here!” Disha replies, “How could I deny to your friend who called me up and invited me so sweetly for his Sangeet party?” as she is still speaking. Aliyah madly comes there and calls Purab. He excuses himself and leaves from there. After Purab leaves, Sunny tells his mother, “Ma, could you just give me some time alone with my friend?” Disha agrees noddingly, pats on Aryan’s head and goes from there. Once Disha goes. Sunny goes near Aryan and angrily questions, “What are you planning to prove by calling my mother here?” Just then, Rakhi calls out from behind, “It was not his but my plan to call your mother here!” Sunny looks around and is bewildered to see her. Sanju smiles thinking, “Bhabhi ji is the perfect match for Bhai! Because only she can handle his INSANE WAYS!” Rakhi inches close to Sunny, stands face to face to him and utters, “And you have more to see!” on saying that, she quickly calls out to the guests. Abhi and Pragya turn around and see their eldest daughter for the first time after 21 years, a chill passes down their spine, but they don’t understand the reason why they were feeling so. Rakhi asks the guests “Isn’t this the Sangeet ceremony of two lovely couples, then, why so much of inertia let’s start the Sangeet with a welcome couple dance!” After saying that, she unconsciously pulls Abhi-Pragya together. All the three feel a jerk inside them. (Kumkum Bhagya dramatic tone aa-aaa-aaaa dramatic tone plays during this moment.)
