Kohli House, In the night, Ranbir’s room
The episode starts in Ranbir’s room. Both Aryan and Ranbir are present and are starting off to sleep when Aryan warns Ranbir, “Ranbir, sleep a few metres away from me, you know what? A few days earlier you were sleep talking with me thinking me to be Prachi!” Ranbir is surprised and embarrassingly asks Aryan, “Did I do something wrong?” Aryan exclaims, “SOMETHING WRONG? If I would not have freed my clutches from you, then that day you would have made your SUHAAG RAAT with me!” Ranbir blushes in embarrassment and says, “Sorry Bro!” and he keeps his hand on Aryan’s shoulder which the latter shakes off. Ranbir continues, “Okay, okay I won’t touch you! But understand, even though I get most of the day together with Prachi, I don’t get enough time to spend with her and miss her desperately, do you get that? You don’t know HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO STAY AWAY FROM A PERSON WHOM YOU LOVE SO DEARLY!” Aryan gets saddened at his words, as he reminisces his and Shahana’s break-up with tears filling his eyes. Ranbir without noticing Aryan change of emotions, continues, “Oh geez, How can I?” Aryan asks him in an astonished tone, “What happened?” Ranbir tells, “I forgot to inform Prachi about yours and Mishti’s engagement tomorrow!” Aryan exclaims again, “What? You spend most of the day with her, miss her so much when she is not with you and still forgot to inform her about your sister’s ENGAGEMENT?” Ranbir apologetically says, “I know, I know, it was wrong but I don’t know how it skipped off my mind?” then he takes his phone saying, “Never mind, I will do it right now!” he dials her number, reflects for a moment and tosses it towards Aryan informing, “It would be better, if you yourself inform your Cousin Sister cum Bhabhi about your engagement!” Aryan frowns at him confusingly, while Ranbir continues, “Go on inform her!” Aryan keeps the phone onto his ear.
Prachi and Shahana’s room
Prachi is excitedly exclaiming, “Wow, Shahana I knew that you like Rishi and since you could not reveal it in front of him, you secretly agreed to Ma regarding your both relationship, right? Now soon you will get married and then……” she stops herself realising that Shahana is closely listening to her with a mocking smile. Shahana asks Prachi, “What happened Prachi? Why did you stop? I know that you are so desperate to get married after me!” Prachi frowns her eyebrows towards Shahana and says, “There is nothing like that!” Shahana teases her back, “Of course Not! There is something like that!” and she continues to tease her, while Prachi asks her to shut up. As their fight continues, Prachi’s phone rings, but before she could pick it up. Shahana jumps in between takes it and on noticing it to be Ranbir’s call, she says, “Awwh! Looks like my Jiju is in the same condition like you, very desperate to get married to YOU, which is why he has called to get the dates fixed! Now, let me ask him!” Prachi tries to stop her, however, Shahana manages to pick up the call and says “Hello” Aryan feels a chill down the spine when he hears Shahana’s voice on the other side. All the events of that day on how they were forced to break up with each other runs in front of his eyes. On the other side, Shahana too realises that it is not Ranbir but Aryan who is on the phone, gets freezed, with her eyes filling up, while going through the same sorrow filled emotions as Aryan. Both stay dumb without uttering out a word. On noticing complete silence, Ranbir and Prachi get puzzled. Ranbir asks, “What happened? Can’t you hear her voice? Give me the phone!” Aryan hands over the phone to Ranbir. On the other side, Prachi asks Shahana, “Shahana, why are you not speaking anything?” Shahana quickly gives the phone to her. Both Prachi and Ranbir simultaneously say “Hello” and laugh. Prachi asks Ranbir, “What did you say to my sister that she grew pale and dumb?” Ranbir asks her in a baffled tone, “Oh excuse me, I just got the phone right now, it was Aryan on the phone till now and he too looked the same way you described Shahana to be! I think he just got nervous as he wanted to talk about his engagement to you!” Prachi astonishingly asks, “What Aryan is getting ENGAGED?” Shahana gets aghast on hearing that and turns her head curiously towards Prachi’s conversation. Ranbir bangs his forehead and continues, “Yeah I knew you will react in this way, that is why I wanted Aryan, himself to inform you!” Prachi demands him, “When did all this happen? And why are you informing me just now?” Ranbir sticks out his tongue and says, “Okay, I myself was so excited that I almost forgot to let you know about it, Sorry……” then he continues to explain how Mishti-Aryan’s engagement got fixed. Prachi listens to him eagerly and narratess, “And you know what Ranbir! It is double happiness for me today because Shahana-Rishi’s alliance also got fixed and soon they too are going to get engaged!” Ranbir shouts out in happiness, “Oh wow, Shahana-Rishi too are getting engaged, that’s great news!” Aryan gets astounded on hearing that and his eyes grow big in pain. Ranbir without noticing Aryan asks Prachi, “Now, when are they getting engaged?” Prachi replies, “As soon as Rishi’s parents reach here!” Ranbir asks, “Well then, you two will be present for engagement function tomorrow, right?” Prachi says, “Of course, why not because Aryan is my brother too and it’s my family function, then why wouldn’t I be there? Me and Shahana will be present for the engagement party tomorrow!” just when Shahana tells, “No Prachi, I won’t come tomorrow!” Both Ranbir and Prachi frown quizzically at that, but soon Prachi continues teasingly, “Oh looks like someone wants to spend her time with her would-be which is why she doesn’t want to come for the engagement party!” Ranbir, on the other side, says smilingly, “It’s alright Prachi, if Shahana wants to spend time with Rishi and doesn’t want to come for the engagement party!” Aryan looks on. Ranbir continues, “You be here on time!” Prachi says, “Okay then, see you tomorrow, Good night!” Ranbir disappointedly asks, “What? Won’t you wish Good night with a kiss?” Aryan shakes his head while Prachi immediately pronounces, “GOOD NIGHT!” and hangs up the phone. She wishes Shahana the same and quickly lies down hiding her smile in thoughts of Ranbir, while Shahana facing on the opposite side, is weeping bitterly without letting out any sound to Prachi. After Prachi hung up, Ranbir annoyedly tells “God, Aryan your Cousin Sister cum Bhabhi has such attitude that she hung the phone onto my face when I just asked for a Good night kiss!” Aryan says, “You needed that, now go to sleep keeping a distance from me!” Ranbir is left agape on that demand. Aryan ignores him and lies down, Ranbir too is about to lie down, just when something passes in his mind, he goes near Aryan and whispers, “Dude, do you know what? Seeing yours and Shahana’s fights, I always felt that YOU TWO WILL ALSO FALL IN LOVE LIKE ME AND PRACHI!” Aryan opens his eyes in amazement, while Ranbir continues, “But maybe it was destiny that YOU WERE MEANT FOR MISHTI WHILE SHAHANA FOR RISHI! Have sweet dreams Bro, tomorrow is going to be one of the most beautiful days of your life as you are getting ENGAGED!” after saying that Ranbir lies down and dozes off to sleep, while his words keep ringing in Aryan’s head breaking him into tears.
Next morning, Kohli House
Aliyah, Pallavi and Beeji are looking at the arrangements of the engagement party, when Aliyah asks them, “What was the need to keep all the functions of the marriage in your house? Okay, I understand, you are from the bride’s side, but we Mehras are not of the old thinking that the bride’s family should take all the expenses in the marriage. Come on, it is my son’s marriage too! So, I personally feel we should share all the expenses!” Beeji tells her, “Aliyah puttar! We understand that it’s your son’s marriage too, but for us Mishti is our only daughter and after this marriage she will become a part of your family, so we wish that all the celebrations of the marriage, Roka which is happening today, Chunri, Mehendi, Sangeet and Haldi happen in our household because we want to celebrate our Lakshmi’s Bidaai with grand austerity!” Aliyah at first shakes her head denyingly but then gives in when Pallavi and Beeji fold their hands. Just then Sanju enters, Aliyah notices him and furiously draws near him asking, “What the heck are you doing here during my son’s engagement?” Sanju gets nervous on seeing her and tells, “Arrey ho Rhea’s Booji and Aryan’s Mom! Your son himself invited me here!” Flashback, Sunny and Sanju’s conversation, Sunny tells Sanju “Tomorrow you should be present for Aryan’s engagement instead of me and if anyone questions you, then tell that Aryan himself invited you for his engagement!” Flashback ends. Aliyah frowns asking, “What? Aryan, called you here? I don’t believe you, come with me!” she pulls his hand and takes him to Aryan’s room in Mehra Mansion.
Mehra Mansion, Aryan’s room
Aryan is getting dressed for his engagement, when Purab asks his permission to enter, Aryan asks him, “What Dad? Why do you have to ask my permission to enter?” Purab smilingly enters and hugs his son dotingly. Aryan smiles back and demands, “What happened Dad? Why are you being so emotional like Indian mothers of Ekta Kapoor’s serials?” Purab laughs out and says, “And when did you start hiding your emotions?” Aryan is stunned at that remark and questions, “What do you mean Dad?” Purab puts on a doubtful look and demands, “Aryan, are you really happy with this marriage?” Aryan is taken aback. He reminisces his love for Shahana and Sunny’s warnings, he gulps his saliva, turns around and without facing his father says, “Of course, why not Dad! Me and Mishti have been good friends since childhood and she has all the qualities which I want for my life partner! Then, why wouldn’t I be happy?” Purab still unconvinced, turns his son facing towards him, makes him look into his eyes and asks, “But is she the one whom you LOVE?” Aryan is dumbstruck as he doesn’t know how to answer that question; just when a knock on the door is heard. Both turn to see Ranbir on the doorstep hiding something behind. Ranbir smilingly tells Purab, “Uncle, I just brought something for Aryan, can I give it to him?” Purab cheerfully says, “Of course, he is all yours! Will meet both of you downstairs!” and he slowly leaves from the room. Ranbir keeps hiding the object he brought and comes near Aryan. The latter asks him, “Now what is it you have brought for me?” Ranbir slowly forwards his hands and reveals the perfume which Aryan’s used to borrow from Ranbir as it was the favourite of Shahana. Aryan is shocked and left mouth agape with sad memories of Shahana running past his head as he gazes at the perfume bottle.
