Pranbhir’s mehendhi ceremony
The ceremony commences. All the gents come there.
“ hello, what are u guys doing here? Go from here.” Says Dida.
“ dida, did u forget that today is my mehendhi ceremony?” says Ranbhir.
“ yeah, but this is only ladies function. So no men is allowed.” Says Dida.
“ What?” says all the men together.
Ranbhir peeps to get a glimpse of Prachi but dida comes and stand infront of him.
“ have u peeped enough? Now leave.” Says dida.
“ dida, I could even get a glimpse of my love. Please dida let me see her and her mehendhi. And this sin’t fair. Why shouldn’t the person be present whose name is to be written on the bride’s hand?” says Ranbhir as he gets a glimpse of Prachi’s hand.
“ Ranbhir.. Ranbhir…. RANBHIR” shouts dida to bring back to his senses who has trying his best to look at Prachi’s face.
“ This isn’t fair,dida. If the remaining men aren’t allowed, it is something justified but why aren’t I allowed, I am the groom. ” says Ranbhir to which remaining men gets angry to which dida laughs.
“ well, dida. Ranbhir is right. He is the groom. And I heard that groom and bride shouldn’t meet each other after engagement till wedding. So I don’t think Ranbhir and Prachi shouldn’t meet until wedding but we are all married so we can meet our wives right? ” saying this Aryan and other men try to rush through the door leaving Ranbhir dumbstruck.
“ hey, we both are brothers. how can u leave me and go?” saying this Ranbhir pulls Aryan back.
“ just like the way u wanted to go inside leaving all of us.” Says Aryan.
“ hhahha, I was just kidding.” Says Ranbhir sheepily.
“ but I am serious.” Says Aryan and tries to go inside but Ranbhir pulls him back and dida comes and stands infront of them.
“ all of u had tried very well. But I will not be allowing u inside.” Says Dida. Just then she recieves a call from Pallavi. So she closes the door and goes inside. Boys bang the door.
“ Mummyji, where were u? the ceremony is about to begin. And what is that sound?” asks Pallavi pointing to the door.
“ I was late because of that only. All the men want to participate in the ceremony especially Ranbhir.” Says Dida looking at Prachi to which Prachi blushes. Everyone smiles looking at her.
“ oh.. u are blushing, that means u want ur fiancée to be in this ceremony?” asks Dida.
“ well, this is his function too. I mean this mehendhi ceremony is held for our wedding. Right?” tells Prachi.
“ oh my god, u started to take ur husband’s side from now itself. No wonder my son loves u so much. ” says Pallavi.
“ fine, as Prachi wants her Ranbhir inside. So I will call all men inside. ” saying this Mishit goes towards the door.
“ wait, Prachi wants only Ranbhir not everyone, until u want someone else also to come with Ranbhir.” Teases Pragya.
“ no,no. I was just….” Mishti was unable to answer to which all women laugh.
“ So, as everyone wants their partners inside, we will allow them inside but we will include some fun to it.” saying this Dadi gives an idea.
All the women were laughing so loudly that it was audible to men who are outside the door.
“looks like they are having fun, and this is my wedding pre-ritual but excluding me they are having fun.” Complains Ranbhir.
“ yeah I know.” Says Vikram.
Suddenly the door gets opened. All the men expect that their partners will open the door but sadly, dadi and dida open the door.
“ again u dida.” Complains Ranbhir.
“ why? Haven’t u always said that I am ur girlfriend? and seeing me makes u happy. Now, why are u comaplaining?” shouts Dida bossily.
“ yes, of course dida, u are my lovely girlfriend,” saying this Ranbhir goes towards dida and tries to enter inside.
But dida pushes him out.
“ don’t use ur antics on me. I brought u up and I know u in and out. So don’t do this to me.” says Dida.
“ oh no dida. Prachi atleast u tell to dida to let me enter. Don’t u wanna see me?” says Ranbhir.
“ no.” answers Aryan. It was audible to all men and women and everyone laughs, but Aryan gets beating from Ranbhir.
“ stop it. we decided to allow u to celebrate mehendhi ceremony with us…..” as soon as dadi says this all of them tries to run inside.
But dida and dadi together stop them from entering.
“ now what happened?” asks men.
“ we haven’t completed yet. In order to enter u should get permission from ur respective life partners. If they ask us to allow u inside, only then, u will be allowed inside. And for this u have to do something to impress them. If they gets impressed, then they will ask us to allow u inside and we will let u in. ” says dadi.
“ what about singles?” asks Ishaan.
“ u can choose any single women inside whom u have to impress. If she gets impressed and allows u to enter only then u guys will be allowed. And if u don’t get any girl, then u will have to impress us. ” Says Dida.
“ oh.. but they can’t see us right. So, why don’t u ask them to come here and watch us.” Says Aryan.
“ well, Aryan that was so smart of u. don’t worry, we will show ur performances on video call. Okay?” says Dida to which Aryan gives a surprised look.
“ fine, so who is gonna start? Abhi?” Tells dadi.
“ well, my wife is already impressed with me, so I don’t have to specially impress her.” Saying this Abhi heroically tries to enter but suddenly a voice comes from inside.
“ I am not impressed but annoyed so don’t let him come in dadi.” Says Pragya.
“ hey, phugi,…..” Abhi stops himself saying on seeing Dida.
“ so , who’s gonna try next? How about the desparate dulha?” says Dida.
“ me? okay fine.” Saying this Ranbhir comes forward.
“ well, okay. I prepared this gift for Prachi and thought to give this anytime before our wedding. I heard and have seen Mishti also being little scared before the wedding. And I know it’s common for girls. Prachi sometimes doubted that whether she is eligible to be my wife. I think this will motivate her and clear all her misconceptions. I want my Prachi to be brave on our wedding and start our lives afresh. So , can I go and give this to her?” asks Ranbhir.
“ no, we will pass to her. And as u wanted to give it to her, place this gift on this plate, Prachi will pick up it up from plate. No one else will touch it.” says Dida.
Ranbhir places the git on the plate and sends it to Prachi.
Prachi unwraps the gift.
