Chapter 6

Kabir couldn’t contain his anger anymore. He punched ??? Veer’s face full force. “Really Veer? You want revenge???? For what? For making you work and study hard so that you can show your capability by being head intern? or loving a person like you?” Veer’s eyes widdend at this.

“Ha Veer loves you with all her heart and what did you do? You broke her heart by deceiving her. I thought you as my brother Veer, but never thought you’ll step this low” with that Kabir went and Veer was left to his thoughts.

So here’s the today’s part.

Sanchi got a message from Dr. Kabir to meet him in his cabin.

-knock knock- “come in Dr. Sanchi.

“Good morning sir!” said Sanchi.

“Good morning! As I told you yesterday from today your extra lessons are going to start so come to the classroom sharp 8 and focus on your career other things can wait” Kabir said.

“Ok sir thank you for making time for me I know you’re very busy, I’ll be on time” said Sanchi with a weak smile.

Few days passed since Sanchi’s extra classes have passed.

……….in the classroom (extra lessons)……….

“Study these cases Dr. Sanchi, all these are extremely rare types of cancers” Kabir was instructing Sanchi.

(Author’s note :- I’m sorry guys don’t have much medical knowledge so I’m just making small things up instead of using medical questions ???)

“Would you like some coffee” asked Kabir.

“Sure sir ?” replied Sanchi.
Kabir called a ward boy passing by and ask him to bring coffee.

“How do you want your coffee sir?,ma’am?” asked the ward boy.

“Black, two sugars” both replied together surprising each other.

Outside the classroom Riya and her two friends Madhu & Bala were spying. “Wow Dr. Kabir and Sanchi both like black coffee huh” started Madhu.

“Hmm not just their coffee they have lots of things in common” Bala joined.

“Common my foot!! ??? haven’t you guys heard opposites attracts? Soo they don’t match if they’re same. Kabir and I are opposite, so we match ???” said Riya dreamily.

“But Riya they don’t just have things in common they are opposite too” -Madhu.

“Haa Riya Dr. Kabir’s such a khadoos, Sanchi’s strict too but she is funny and playful. So they’re opposites” -Bala.

“Are you two on my side or that Sanchi’s” Riya went away fuming ???.

Back inside the classroom, they had coffee and Sanchi was studying. But Kabir doesn’t seem well. Sanchi noticed this and asked, “sir, are you alright? You seem sick ???”

“I’m alright Dr. Sanchi, you carry on with your work”

Sanchi started to do her work. She was so focused on her work she forgot Kabir entirely.

**It’s good to see her focusing on work. But seriously this girl is amazing. If it was some other girl they won’t study, they’ll be trying to impress me???. But this girl doesn’t have to do anything to impress me, I get impressed by just seeing her work. I don’t regret sacrificing my free time to help her study at all ???” Kabir thought looking at Sanchi.

It’s 11.30 pm when Sanchi finish studying. Just as she was about to call Kabir she saw him sleeping on his chair.

Sanchi POV

“??? he must be tired and fell asleep. After all he’s helping me wasting his free time. I must admit he look so innocent when he’s sleeping. Who would think he’s a bossy khadoos?” I told myself.

“If you are done admiring me Dr. Sanchi shall we go?” She suddenly heard.

“Sir weren’t you sleeping?”

“I’m not a heavy sleeper. If you don’t want people to know what you’re thinking, then stop thinking out aloud”

God he’s such a khadoos how can I even think this guy looks innocent?

“I’ll drop you at hostal Sanchi, let’s go” he stood up but stumbled and about to fall. “Sir you’re not okay. Why didn’t you tell me when I asked earlier?”

“I’m fine Dr. San-”

“No!! Don’t say you’re fine coz you are not. This is all my fault. If I scored more marks you wouldn’t have to do extra lessons for me. You wouldn’t waste your free time on me. You won’t be sick like this. Now come”

Normal POV

They came to the car park. Kabir gave Sanchi his keys “are you sure you know how to drive?” Sanchi glared at him ???. He told directions to his house & she drove them there.

After helping him to his house, Sanchi turned to leave saying, “take some meds sir, good night!”.

“Dr. Sanchi where do you think you’re going?” asked Kabir.

“Back to the hostal where else?” Sanchi replied with a shrug.

“There’s no way I’m letting you go alone at this time of night. Stay here tonight and go tomorrow. Ah ha don’t argue it’s an order” said Kabir and called a maid.

” Malthi!! Is mother asleep? Did she took her meds? Good then don’t wake her, arrange a guest room for ma’am and give her some clothes. Good night Dr. Sanchi” with that he left.

Sanchi stayed at Kabir’s house that night. She couldn’t inform Isha and Pragya about her situation.

……….next morning at Kabir’s house……….

“Sanchi beta, good morning ???! Gollu told me you stayed here yesterday.” It was 7.00 am in the morning. Kusum came to greet her. Sanchi woke up suddenly.

“Good morning Aunty ji, I’m sorry I overslept, ab kaise hai Dr. Kabir ko?” Sanchi asked concerned.

“He’s fine beta getting ready for work. You too get ready” said kusum.

“But I need to go back to the hostal, don’t have any clothes”said Sanchi.

“But it’s already late na. Don’t worry I’ll solve your problem” smiled kusum.

……….7.30 am……….

“Maa we don’t have time to eat, Dr. Sanchi hurry up we’ll be late” yelled Kabir.

“Stop shouting mere khadoos gollu. She’ll come” said kusum calmly.

Just then Sanchi came wearing a pale pink saree (it has a very thin material), and her long hair was in a plait over her right shoulder. Kabir was mesmerized by her beauty he couldn’t look away.

Kusum noticed this and smirked ???. “How does Sanchi look beta?”

Hearing kusum ask this from Kabir Sanchi blushed ???. Kabir composed himself. “Same as she always looks” was his Khadoos reply.

“Hmph..! At least have breakfast and go” said kusum.

“Sorry Aunty we have a surgery 8.30 am. So we should hurry ???” said Sanchi kindly.

Both took blessings from Kusum and went. “If my gollu and Sanchi was married then they’ll leave for work together like this ??? but what to do? That’s not something that’s gonna happen soon” Kusum said to herself sadly ???.

The entire ride to the hospital Kabir and Sanchi were quiet. When they reached the Sanchi decided to break the silence. “Thank you for letting me stay there last night sir”

“Hmm” was all Kabir gave as a reply. He was afraid that if he looked at her, he wouldn’t be able to look away.

They got out of the car and went inside the hospital. When they entered everyone was looking at them. They start to whisper each other.

“Dr. Sanchi and Dr. Kabir came together? Why?” -nurse 1

“Oh forget why. Just look at them, they look like a newly married couple” -nurse 2

“They look perfect for each other right?” -nurse 3

Even the patients were admiring our couple. “May good bless you and lead a long happy marriage life with lots of beautiful babies” an old lady came to them and said.

“WHAT?, we’re not married” they both exclaimed.

“Them get married na, you two look perfect for each other” said another lady.

They looked at each other and looked away. “Is this a hospital or a gossip hall????? Get back to your work” Kabir scolded everyone.

Sanchi too turned to go but she tripped over the hem of her saree. **alright face ready to kiss earth** closed her eyes thinking that but she never fell. Someone’s holding her by waist. She opened her eyes to see Dr. Kabir. “Take care of your girl, young man” said an old man laughing.

Riya was watching this commotion from aside. She was bunrning with anger and jealousy ???. “Sanchi Mishra, I will make your life hell”
