Ragini (chriped happily) – Maa…maa…maaa..!!! Today was the best day of my life. I can’t explain how happy I am right now.
Janki (smiling with moist eyes)- Finally he is understanding you..!!
Ragini (curiously)- But Maa..!! Who told him about me going to Italy..!! I didn’t tell him.
Janki – Sujata told him..!! She was really upset because of you two.
Ragini- Awwww…!! Don’t worry maa..!!(wink) I know how to make her mood…!!
She rushed outside and enter in sanskaar’s house. Sujata was putting all the dishes back in the kitchen after the dinner.
Ragini (hug her from the back)- Thank you..!!! Thank you..!!! Thank you sooooo much Mom…!!!
Sujata laugh and turned towards her.
Sujata – Where were you..?? After you two left for college , Now you are coming. He just left for his room. But he was bit lost. Did something happen again..??
Ragini – Something…!!! No Mom..!! Everything happen today..!! You have know Idea how greatful I am of you..!!
She narrated all the happening from morning to sujata and her lips curve into a smile to grin to squeal.
In Sanskaar’s room
Sanskaar POV
What was that..!! How can I say that to her. She is chudail.The girl I hate from childhood. How can I start loving her all of a sudden. I don’t love her. I just said those word in a fit of a moment. She is just a friend now. That’s it…!! Nothing else…!!Yaaa…!!
“Whom you are pestering sanskaar..!!! You love her …!! You love her from childhood..!! ” his inner voice mocked.
No I don’t. She is the reason I left alone everytime because Mom always loved her more than me. She fullfil all her demand..All love her so much.
“And you too..!!” his inner voice echoed.
Do I ..??
” Ofcourse you do..!! Tell me how do you feel when you got to know about her n laksh’s marriage..??”
I was angry.But that not because I love her. That was because she was going to ruin her and laksh’s life. Because she loves me..!! And I wanted to save my friend laksh’s life. That’s why.
“Yaa..!! Yaa..!! And why didn’t you let her wear that saree in the college..??”
Who wear saree in college..?? And that was too revealing. I just want to look out for her . So no one can look at her with their bad eyes.
“Oh..!! So you can touch her..!! Kiss her..!! Make her knees weak ..!! And others can’t even see her…!! WOW…!! ” mocked his inner voice.
That was mistake.
“You really feel that was mistake..!! I don’t think so..!!”
I…I don’t know what happened to me that day. But she left.She left just like that.She didn’t come back like she always did. That was hurting. I don’t why her absence was hurting me this much. But I realized that I can’t live without listening her nonsense talk. It’s just that she became a habit to me.
“That’s why you are going with her Italy..!! Right..!! ” said his inner voice sarcastically.
Exactly
“Bullshit”
“So you don’t love her…??”
No
“So why did you respond to her confession..?? ”
That was bec……..I…I don’t know.That just felt so right that time. But I can’t love her.

“You love her already.. It’s just that you are too stubborn to accept it”
I….I… How can I..???
“Okay..!! you don’t love her..!! So why don’t you just burn that things which you are collecting from last 7 years..!!”

He shut his eyes and hold his head in his hands. He remembered all his moments with Ragini. All her stubbornness to tag herself with him. Her blunt behavior. Her teary face whenever he hurted her. A tear escaped from his eyes remembring that moment when she didn’t talk to him after whatever happened that day. Only he knows how he spent those days.He open his cupboard and pick a key from it.He bend and dragged out a large trunk from beneath of his bed. He open it which is full of his books. He shuffle through them and pick a book from the corner of the box which looks like a diary. He about to open it when ragini barged into his room chirping.
Ragini – Sanskaaaar…!!! I have a question…!!!
He put the diary back in trunk and shut it immediately. Ragini narrowed her eyes looking at him.
Sanskaar (nervous) – Yaa..!! Wha..what question..??
Ragini (folding her hands across her chest) – What are you hiding..???
Sanskaar – Noth..Nothing..!! (hold her hand and dragged her aside in his room) You tell what question..??
Ragini (patting her forehead) – Yaaa..!!! If you are coming with me to Italy then what about your studies..??(biting her lips)I mean It’s last year..!! You can’t drop like this.(with a glint in her eyes) To became a successful businessman is your dream right..!!
Sanskaar (smile at her care and hold her shoulders)-Nor I am dropping it and neither you.
Ragini look at him confused and he continued.
Sanskaar – I talked about it in the college and they permitted us to come back and give our exams. (raising his imaginary collar) As I am a topper so there’s no problem..!! But I had to literally beg them to allow you to continue with your exam here as you are lowest ranker of our class.
Ragini mouth shaped a big ‘O’. She hit on his chest and he laugh.
Ragini – When did you do all this..??
Sanskaar(wink) – After when I told you to be ready for college.
Ragini (softly) – Sanskaar…!!
Sanskaar – Hmmm..!!!
Ragini (looking straight in his eyes) – Why are you doing this..??
Sanskaar look at her intensely. He himself don’t know why he is doing all this. His heart saying that it’s because he loves her. But his mind is still adamant to not to believe it. But he can’t remain in confusion all the time. He have to listen one of them.And today he decide to listen his heart over his mind.
Sanskaar (cup her face in between his palms softly ) – I too don’t know why I am doing this. But this much I understood that I can’t live without you. (ragini look at him shocked and he nodded) You know.. From childhood I thought you are the reason that mom didn’t love me enough. And on my 10th birthday when I listened that mom always wanted a girl as her child. I was shattered. And started hating you more. (ragini nodded her head in no and about to say something but he place his finger on her lips) But you know what deep down I never hated you because you are the only one who support me in my every deed. That was my jealousy that I name as hate. Always you took the blame of all my mischief. You became my habit, that habit that I don’t want to leave all my life. I don’t know what this feeling is but it hurts when you don’t talk to me. It hurts when you don’t come back after our fight. (ragini was looking at him with moist eyes) You know that day whatever happened..!! (He shut his eyes and she look at him like she is looking at him for the first time) I never consider as a mistake..!! I don’t know why..but I feel It is only my right to see you like this. To feel you, to… ki..kiss you, to make you feel special (she look at him astonished) If that’s what you call love..!! Then yes..!!! Yes.. I LOVE YOU RAGINI..!! I love you so damn much…!!
A tear skipped from her eyes. She touch his face with her fingers not believing it is real.
Ragini (barely audiable voice) – Sans…Sanskaar…!!
Sanskaar – Shhh..!!! Let me speak today..!! (he wipe her tears and she nodded) I am sorry ragini..!! For all the words which I said to hurt you..!! For all the pain which I gave you in all years..!! You said true..!! I am very slow..that I realize it too late(ragini look at him shocked and he laugh) I listened you talking to mom that day. Not only that everyday whenever you came in my room early morning I know that too (she wide her eyes) I never stop you because somewhere I too enjoyed your presence around me. But when you asked Will I miss you..?? I was confused that where are you going..?? And when mom told me about you going to Italy.. I just want to hug you tightly and screamed loudly. That Yes..!!! I will miss you..!! I will miss you like hell if you left me alone here. I can’t think a day without you.. without your non-stop bak-bak…without you being torturing me the whole day..without you ranting about our marriage..(he joined their forehead) without you telling me that I am your kid’s father not yours. (Ragini laugh with teary eyes and he kiss on her forehead) I love you Ragini..!! And I can’t live without you..!!!
Ragini look at him lovingly and then embrace him in a bone crushing hug showing her all the love for him.
Ragini – I love you too Sanskaar..!! I love you too..!!!
Sanskaar too hug her back tightly protectively like he wanted to hide her in his heart to keep her away from all the world.
