Priyanka’s POV
Another new day, reality struck and I realized what I had signed up for. A job with Ranveer as my boss! Having to see him everyday and relieve many hurtful memories was painful but I was determined to prove to him that I wouldn’t be broken by what he did! I quickly picked up a black and white kurti top and black patiala pants to wear with matching black earrings. I reached office at sharp 8 and started making a presentation. Ranveer walked into my cabin along with Tanvi Ma’am and Yash Sir a few minutes later.

“Hi Priyanka!”, Tanvi Ma’am smiled.

“Hi!”

“Hi! We were thinking of going for dinner tonight. Will you join us? Kavya will also be coming!”, Yash sir said.

An outing with Ranveer! NO! I opened my mouth to speak but I was interrupted by Ranveer.

“Miss Oberoi will say no, Yash. How many times do I explain to you?”

Does Ranveer think I am a boring person? Well, I have to prove him wrong even if that means having to spend time with him!

“Why do you think I’ll say no, Sir? I’ll come for sure!”, I smiled innocently.

“Done! So we’ll have dinner at 9. Ok?”, Tanvi Ma’am beamed.

“Sure, ma’am!”

“Call Yash and I by our names!”, she said.

I nodded.

The three of them walked out, leaving me thinking about what I had gotten myself into.

Ranveer’s POV
Prinku, you might have changed but one habit that hasn’t changed is proving people wrong! I just hope that I can muster the courage to apologize one day!

At 8:30, Kavya, Priyanka, Tanvi, Yash and I left for dinner.

“So Kavya and Priyanka, what type of food do you like?”, Tanvi asked Prinku and Kavya.

“I love chaat! Street food basically!”, Kavya replied.

“Priyanka?”, Tanvi turned to Prinku.

Priyanka nodded, “Sure! I’m fine with chaat.”

“So chaat, it is!”, Yash beamed.

We walked towards a chaat stall.

“Bhaiya, paanch pani puri plates do.”

Yash grinned, “Do you want to have a competition?”

“Sure! I will win anyway! Bhaiya, please keep count of who eats more pani puris!”, Tanvi beamed.

Priyanka and I locked eyes and I looked down unable to bear it. Her eyes reflected pain, the pain I had given her. Neither of us had been able to get over each other!

Priyanka: “Ranveer! Pani puri! Chalo!”

Ranveer: “Prinku! This is so unhygienic! We’ll get sick!”

Priyanka: “Please, Ranveer! Pretty please!”

She made a cute face and Ranveer didn’t have the heart to decline.

Ranveer: “Ok! Tumhe mana kaun kar sakta hai?”

Priyanka jumped and hugged Ranveer in excitement.

Priyanka: “You’re the best! I love you!”

Ranveer pecked Priyanka’s cheek.

Ranveer: “I love you too!”

Priyanka: “Vaise, what if we have a pani puri competition?”

Ranveer: “Of course! Mein hi jeetunga!”

Ranveer lifted his collar confidently.

Priyanka: “Let’s see!”

Priyanka and Ranveer started eating.

Ranveer gave up on the 28th pani puri.

Ranveer: “You won! I can’t eat any more!”

Priyanka: “Yay! I won!”

Ranveer smiled seeing Priyanka’s happiness.

Priyanka: “So where’s my gift?”

Ranveer: “What gift?”

Priyanka: “Arre! I’ve won a pani puri eating competition, gift to banta hai!”

Ranveer: “Achha! What do you want as a gift?”

Priyanka: “You!”

Ranveer: “I’m already yours.”

Priyanka: “Aww! You’re so cute!”

Priyanka pulled Ranveer’s cheeks.

Ranveer: “Prinku, please! I’m not cute!”

Priyanka: “You are!”

Ranveer: “I’m not!”

Priyanka: “You are!”

Ranveer: “I’m not!”

Priyanka: “You’re not!”

Ranveer: “I am!”

Priyanka chuckled.

Ranveer: “Cheating!”

Priyanka: “Too bad!”

Priyanka’s POV

Yash did a small victory dance, “Yay! I won!”

Tanvi rolled her eyes, “Ya, ya!”

“I should get going. It’s 10 already.”, I said.

“Ok! I’ll drop you home!” Yash offered.

Ranveer intervened, “No, it’s okay. I’ll drop her.”

“It’s okay, man. Don’t take the trouble. I’ll drop Priyanka.”, Yash insisted.

Ranveer got angry and I rose to calm him down when I realized that I didn’t have the right to do that anymore.

“I said I’m dropping her, it means I’m dropping her. No further arguments.”, Ranveer barked.

“Cool down! It’s ok! I’ll drop Tanvi and Kavya. Bye!”, Yash shook his head and raised his eyebrows.

“Bye!”, Tanvi waved.

“Bye, Prinku!”, Kavya said and left.

Ranveer opened the door for me and I stepped into his car. What I saw next shocked me, a small picture of Ranveer and I in our college days was pasted neatly on Ranveer’s car window and it was small enough to not be noticed by someone. Ranveer opened his door and I looked away, pretending to not have seen anything.
