Jealousy?

Ranveer’s POV
After what happened between us, seven years ago, I thought Priyanka would break down emotionally. However, she has become much stronger! I never imagined she would take up this job but she did! She is a new Priyanka, fearless and bold! I can’t even look into her eyes without being ashamed of myself. The mistakes I’ve made have to be corrected, I knew what I had but I thought I wouldn’t lose her. One I lost her, I realized the mistake I had made. I need to apologize to her!

Priyanka’s POV
It’s so funny, na? I met Ranveer after sever years! I’ve said that I will take up the job because of Bhaiya, I just hope I don’t fall weak! Maybe Ranveer doesn’t realize that what he did to me scarred me for life! I’ve stopped trusting people! I may have lost someone who didn’t love me but he lost someone who truly loved him, who was ready to give up everything for him!

Kavya led me to Ranveer’s room.

“Sir, you called Priyanka!”, Kavya said.

Ranveer nodded and handed me a bunch of files.

“Prinku, these are the files you have to sort out. You are my secretary so you have to organize my meetings and appointments and respond to emails and calls. Ok?”, he said while looking everywhere else except at me.

I nodded, “Yes, Sir!”

Ranveer shook his head, “Don’t call me Sir! Call me Ranveer!”

“I prefer calling you Sir. Please call me Miss Oberoi!”, I replied.

“Prinku, please! Just-“, he started and a tear rolled down his left cheek.

I locked eyes with him and he looked at me helplessly.

“Miss Oberoi! I’m not Prinku anymore!”, I said confidently.

“Sorry, Miss Oberoi!”, he said.

Kavya quickly stood up, “Sir, may we be excused?”

Ranveer nodded.

Kavya dragged me outside.

“Prinku! Tujhe ho kya gaya hai? Sir said you could call him Ranveer and you declined! You made him call you Miss Oberoi! And how do you know each other? He called you, Prinku! Only your closest friends and family call you Prinku!”, she scolded and questioned me at the same time.

“Kavya, I am not comfortable calling my boss by his name. That’s it. No more questions!”, I replied quickly.

“Fine! I need to introduce you to two more people! Come!”, she said.

Kavya and I went to a cabin next to Ranveer’s which I had never noticed before. Kavya knocked and entered.

“Sir, Ma’am! This is Priyanka. Ranveer Sir’s new secretary. Prinku, this is Yash Sir and Tanvi Ma’am!”, Kavya said and I smiled.

I shook hands with them.

“Hi! We’re Ranveer’s friends, Yash and Tanvi. We hope you will manage!”, the lady said, smiling.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t understand. Manage?”, I asked.

“Managing Ranveer’s temper, you know! He can get extremely angry at times!”, she said and raised her eyebrows.

“Yes! He does-Sorry!”

“Don’t worry! You’ll do fine. There’s nothing to be sorry about!”, the gentleman said.

“Thank you! It was a pleasure meeting the both of you!”, I smiled.

“You are extremely sweet. I hope Ranveer realizes that soon!”, Tanvi ma’am said.

“Tanvi! Don’t scare the girl! Priyanka, it was a pleasure meeting you. We should hang out sometime!”, Yash sir said.

I opened my mouth and Ranveer entered.

“You can hang out with me. There’s no need to hang out with Prin-Miss Oberoi!”, he said to Yash sir.

“I was just saying!”, Sir said sheepishly.

“So sweet but Miss Oberoi has a lot of work! Too much work. Sorry but she can’t hang out with you! Please follow me, Miss Oberoi!”, he said looking at me.

Ranveer and I walked to Ranveer’s cabin.

“What was the need to go and talk to Yash?”, Ranveer asked angrily.

“What do you mean? I can talk to anyone I want!”, I said, crossing my arms.

“Yes but in office, you are my secretary. You will not talk to boys or allow them to flirt with you!”, he barked.

“What is wrong with you? You are my boss not husb-”

I stopped talking when I realized what I was about to say.

“I might not be your husband but I will not tolerate you talking to any boy especially in my office!”, he said.

“Yes, Sir”, I said sarcastically.

Priyanka’s POV
What am I doing? Control, Prinku, control! Why did I talk to Ranveer? After everything that happened, why am I talking to him? Why do I feel myself drawn towards him? No, Prinku! This cannot happen. You have to do something to ensure that it doesn’t! You can’t fall in love with him, again!

Ranveer’s POV
Why do I feel like this? Today when I saw Yash talking to Priyanka, why did I behave like this? Ranveer, focus on your work! I can apologize to Priyanka later. For now, I shouldn’t do anything foolish which will make her suspicious. I don’t love Priyanka!
