Rohit lays outdoor on the couch, silently. He wonders if he must be angry, annoyed or should not bother at all. Ana tells him everything truly, but why this Prince Harry always calls Ana for everything. After all he is her boss only.
The next morning, Ana joins Rohit and asks why he is having breakfast alone, he didn’t wake her up. Rohit says she was asleep and looked tired, so he didn’t bother her. He asks about Harry. Ana says he is doing fine, he has a surgery today. Rohit asks why she didn’t go. Ana replies she is with him here. Rohit asks the servant to give the omelet to mam, but Ana denies. Rohit takes a leave as he had meeting. He stops at the door to see Ana busy with newspaper. He dials a phone call. There, Ana gets a call from Harry. Harry greets her as sweet doll
At farmhouse, Maa discusses with Meera that Poonam isn’t home since morning. She must be feeling bad. She fast for Rohit for past 20 years. Meera convince Maa to think of Poonam and let her live her life. Maa says Poonam isn’t that type. They are going to celebrate Bani’s Karwachot.
Poonam was with Sheena and bites on a burger. She says she is extremely happy and can’t forget this Karwachot. She had to stay hungry whole day long, for a man who would only bring a gift and nothing else. Sheena laughs if Poonam wants a revenge. Poonam says she isn’t even thinking about Rohit. She says Twinkle Khanna was right about Karwachot in her book. She wants to celebrate Cheat Day. Sheena asks if Rohit cheated on her. She could at least have fasted for her future be. Poonam had decided she would never ever fast. She clarifies Sheena he is only her friend. She tells Sheena he is just a friend and going on a date today. Her burger had finished. She asks if she should order another. Sheena jokes, if she is pregnant. Poonam laughs, there is no room for it.
In the room, Rohit was with Ana on video call and took her help select his dress. He turns the camera, complements Ana that she looks nice. He says he sent her a few messages, did she check. He wondered if she is fasting. Ana asks if he is serious, he has been feeding her prawn roll every Karwachot since three years. How could she break that tradition? She plans to eat Prawn Rolls together and look into each other’s eyes and make Karwachot night a romantic one. Rohit promises to be back as soon as Bani’s Karwachot is over. Ana approves, as she is also busy. Vandy is also not in office, she was partying last night with Cherry and must have a hangover. Rohit asks Ana if she has something else on her mind. Ana says too much on her mind, she needs to work.
The preparations for Bani’s Karwachot were finished. Maa sends Sheena to bring Bani. Jassi asks Poonam if she is fasting too. Poonam asks why now? Jassi says last time she was with Sheena so she didn’t ask. Poonam says she got all of Jassi’s Karwachot forwards, she didn’t miss anything. Yet she had a good breakfast, and a lunch too. Jassi bitterly says they are suffering from hunger, for their heartless husbands. Poonam laughs that everyone suffers, those who fast or those who don’t.
In the room, Nickie was eating and offers Bani to eat as well. Bani says she can’t; even dad said she has to fast. Mom used to fast, and she will have to carry on the custom. Sheena comes to call Bani downstairs for the Thaali thing. She joins Nickie in stuffing cheese pakora.
Jassi asks Guri on call if he is sure the moon will sight at 7.25. Guri tells her to trust him, he has been scrolling it since morning.
The ladies sat for the tradition of thaal rotation. Poonam asks Maa if its three rounds to be completed. Maa says it’s seven. Poonam felt sad and leaves the group. Rohit arrives. Poonam greets him at the door with a smile but walks away without a word. Rohit goes the other way. Maa comes to complement Rohit and asks about Ananya, she had invited Ananya here. Rohit asks why she invited her. Maa says it would feel odd that every guest is here, even Bani’s in laws; and Ananya would have to wait for him. Ana reaches and greets Maa. Maa blesses her. Maa asks Ananya about her thaal. Rohit tells Maa she didn’t fast. Ananya says she felt it was Bani’s Karwachot and they were here for dinner. Rohit tells Maa he told her not to fast. Maa was annoyed. Nickie comes to take Ananya along. Maa curtly says to Rohit it wasn’t a big deal. Poonam never did so, and what Ananya wants to prove by not fasting.
Outside in the garden, Rohit finds Ana enjoying snacks with Nickie. He thinks of Maa’s words that Ana only wants to prove she is different, in front of his friends. Every woman fast, she doesn’t have to do it whole year. Ana discusses with Nickie that it seems the women are judging her. She doesn’t care. Poonam comes to Ananya and offers if she needs something to eat. Ananya says she can eat some more.
Rohit goes to the bar for whisky. Ana joins him there. He offers her a drink. Ana says these ladies would kill her if she drinks. Rohit asks why, she didn’t fast anyways. Ana asks if this means she doesn’t love him, she doesn’t have to fast to show her love for him. Ananya says there are a lot of women who are fasting, they are hungry, angry and annoyed. She doesn’t want that. Guri comes there. Jassi comes angrily that she is fasting, and he wants a drink. Guri tells her not to fast then. Ana even didn’t fast. Would Ana be held responsible if Rohit dies this year? Ana asks Guri what he is talking about her husband. A lot of women lose their husbands though they fast regularly, like Meera Bua. Jassi agrees. She says one of their uncles also passed in 1986 when on 48, though their aunt fast for him her whole life. Ananya says it’s only about tradition, some follow some don’t. She doesn’t apply sindoor, and wears mangal sooter in her hand. Rohit smiles and offers her some snacks. She goes to eat Aalu Chat.
Poonam gets Abhi’s messages. He says he is on a date only because Poonam said so. He shares a photograph of his girlfriend with her.
Sheena offers Guri another Gol Gappa. She apologizes Jassi as they are eating. Jassi says she can fast for her husband four times a year. Guri laughs that Shahrukh Khan has made Karwachot glossy through his films.
Rohit comes to Poonam. He asks if there is some problem, as she won’t attend his calls. Ana joins in. Poonam says no problem, she is just busy for a week. Sheena also joins in. She complements Ananya for being the game changer, she turned Rohit progressive as well. She asks Rohit if he doesn’t miss all this. Poonam used to fast for him. Rohit replies it’s a matter of tradition, he is ok either ways. Ananya says she doesn’t get the formula of proving love by fasting. Poonam agrees that she fasted for 22 years, and it didn’t matter. Rohit goes to get a drink. The ladies head for some more eating.
Bani leads the group of ladies at moon sighting. Rohit makes video of them. Maa, Poonam and Meera Bua watch the sight. Rohit takes Ana aside. Bani tells Aarya this was the last time, she won’t do it from next years. Aarya tells Bani she is also fasting for her. Bani hugs Aarya. She says he is a big idiot. She goes to Bani asking for food. Nickie was annoyed that no one is asking her for food.
Poonam was busy with phone as Sheena comes to kitchen for serving. She asks about Abhi’s date. Poonam says he didn’t text her for past two hours. Sheena says Poonam now dislikes after sending Abhi. Poonam says its important that Abhi finds someone else for him. Sheena disagrees, as no one is getting her any medals. Life has brought her happiness, she shouldn’t deny it. Its her right to be happy.
On the way back, Ana sings the song ‘lagg jaa galay se phir yeh…’ while her head resting on Rohit’s shoulder. Rohit smiles and says everyone was surprised that she didn’t fast. He had thought she would. Ana says he is discussing this third time. In the three years relationship, he never made it a national issue. Rohit says now, she is the wife and people expect she would fast. Ana says she would fast next year. Rohit says it’s alright, he doesn’t want her to change. He now requests her to sing for him.
