New Beginnings – Old Ghost
One year later
Avi got an idol set in the office. Ananya exclaims that it’s beautiful, she craves for it in her house. Avi says Ananya has changed the entire house according to her taste in one year already, and there is space at her place for this idol. Ananya agrees. She asks to have dinner at night. Avi asks if they are still at home tonight. Ananya doesn’t reply.
Bani roams around the house which was refurbished. She congratulates Rohit for being an owner of museum. Rohit says Ana just loves art. Bani says this is obsession! It’s good that she only changed the house, not him. She hugs Rohit and says I love you.
In the café, Avi says she has seen people change interior and even house, but people themselves
Late at night, Ana returns home. Rohit was having dinner with girls who were cheerful. Rohit invites Ana to join them. The environment gets tensed. Aarya passes the bowl to Ana. Ana asks Nickie about college. Nickie replies all well. Ana asks Bani about New York. Bani says it’s good, as usual. Ana asks what was the conversation about. They start discussing their childhood good old memories, and talk about an old maid. Ana messages Avi that she tried, still girls aren’t ready to talk to her.
There, Sheena sat with Poonam relaxing. She says Poonam turned beautiful, divorce soothes her. Poonam laughs that divorce is like a cancer, a dying person learns to live. She went to Maldives with friends, and is learning Salsa dance now. Even she is visiting Sheena twice in a year. Else she had no time to visit her. Sheena offers her a drink. Poonam says single, doubles are for people like Rohit and Ananya. Sheena asks if they really are enjoying being double.
At night, Rohit tells Ananya she is repeatedly having head ache. She must get her eye-sight checked. It seems she is getting a glasses. Ana smiles in bed about his concern.
There, Poonam tells Sheena she isn’t surprised. Everything between her and Rohit had ended. Sheena says after marriage everything ends i.e s*x, love and excitement. Lovey Dovey couples then hold super market baskets. They laugh saying that’s true.
Ana turns to Rohit who was almost snoring. She hugs him from behind and says she thinks they should have a baby. Rohit was excited and turns towards Ananya.
The next morning, Rohit orders Veeru his Paratha. Ana comes downstairs and sends the Paratha back. She says only bread and omelet from tomorrow for sir. She tells him to be careful with his lunch box as well and leaves. Rohit gets a call from Bani who was crying. She sat in the garden with Aarya and adds Poonam to the call as well.
In the office, Ana was decorating a vase. Avi comes to her with a saddened face and says she is the nun who starves for endorphins after s*x for years. Ana caresses her and says she will soon turn her into an Aunt.
On the call, Bani cries and shouts at Aarya as if fighting. She fakes a fight with Aarya. She tells Bani that she only had two semesters, four are yet left. Rohit and Poonam were tensed. Bani cries saying she is pregnant. Aarya says it’s not his mistake. Poonam says she is coming next week, and they will see a doctor then. Rohit tells Bani not to cry, as it might adversely affect the child. Poonam corrects Rohit that the baby isn’t his nail’s size yet.
Ananya speaks to Cherry on call. She says oysters in no way help in conceiving a child. Cherry says the point is having good s*x. Ana says it’s good she isn’t their country’s welfare minister. Ana says Cherry is sitting at Mata choki with her mother is law, and is talking about oyster. Ana reaches the kitchen where Poonam was looking for cardamom. Ana hands the bottle. She then hands an oyster pack to Veeru. Poonam says he likes them more in red-wine sauce. Ananya smiles.
In the room, Ananya opens the door to find Bani, Aarya and Poonam there. Rohit tells her that Bani is pregnant. Poonam had come to take her to doctor. Bani started spotting. Farmhouse is far away so he brought her here. It’s their room, still… Ananya says its fine. She congratulates Bani and Aarya. Maa tells Poonam to finish the soup. She will then take an evil eye off her. Poonam asks Rohit to send them to farm house but Rohit says doctor strictly forbid Bani from travelling. He leaves the room.
Outside, Ana stood beside a window upset. Rohit hugs her from beside then sits holding her hand. He says life is strange. At one end he is happy for Bani being a mother, and on the other hand there is complication in her pregnancy. Her mother is more important for her, but Bani is his first born. He wants to be around her. He asked her to stay here. Ananya congratulates Nana ji. Rohit pulls Ananya in his lap and asks if she is saying he is getting old. Would she leave this old man – the vivacious interior designer Ananya? Ananya completes Sharma.
The next morning, Ananya tells Avi and Cherry about serving them all breakfast. She recalls bringing papaya to Bani which has anti-oxidants. She offers Maa breakfast. Maa objects that papaya isn’t good for health in pregnancy. Poonam comes to say its old school thought, and inquires Maa about her diabetes medicine. She asks Ananya to join them too. Ananya goes to bring Paratha.
In the kitchen, Ananya cooks Paratha. Poonam comes to help Ananya and rolls the Paratha. Avi asks why she cooks for them. Ananya says it’s her kitchen, she thought she should take the role. The girls disagree. Ananya says it’s her house, and they are guests; she needs to be gracious. They ask if his family behave well with her. She replies yes. She recalls Rohit giving extra attention to Bani. While leaving, Rohit hugged Ananya. Ananya had to speak to Rohit but he was attentive towards Bani running on stairs. Ananya discusses with girls that she can’t talk about her pregnancy with Rohit at a time when Bani is pregnant. Avi says today Bani is pregnant, then Nickie will get married and get pregnant. Rohit has no space and time for Ananya in his life.
EPISODE 15- Nothing Lasts Forever
Ananya says if she deals with difficult plans, then she can deal with difficult situations in life as well. She loves Rohit and he loves her. She will one day win the heart of his family. Cherry says Rohit’s family is Poonam. Avi comes to say Mr. Somani, the difficult client is here.
At home, Maa spoke on phone that everyone is happy now, she wonders why Rohit did all that. Rohit says Ananya is trying hard for all of them. Maa says Ananya is a good girl, but she doesn’t need her efforts. For her, Poonam is still Rohit’s wife. His marriage with Ananya is illegal. Poonam comes to say they are divorced. She tells Rohit to register their marriage now, its time he legalize the relation. Maa says she still wants them to sort things out and settle the matters. Maa leaves. Rohit thanks Poonam. He know it’s awkward and difficult. Poonam smiles that it doesn’t look awkward anymore. Aarya runs downstairs to call them up.
In the office, Ana sat with Mr. Somani. Mr. Somani says last year she was unmarried yet beautiful. This time, she is married yet more attractive. Ana says if he keeps on flirting how they will work with each other. He offers Ana to visit Dubai, be a guest in their hotels and help them improve them. He turns to leave. Ana says he won’t be able to take the offer, she has some priorities set in her life and her husband tops them. Mr. Somani tells her, never say never, ever. She may take her time. Ana was sure her reply won’t change.
In the hospital, Maa was crying. Poonam consoles Maa that many undergo miscarriages. They couldn’t force a life into the world, which was not meant to be born. Rohit comes to Aarya. Aarya was crying that Bani didn’t want the baby, she only did this because of him. Rohit says first pregnancies are sometimes like this. They have a whole life ahead. May be sometime else in future when both of them are ready.
Bani wakes up in hospital bed and finds Nickie busy with the songs. She asks Nickie to come to her and share the music with her. Nickie comes to share the air pods. Bani says mom, even doctor said it’s normal.
Avi and Cherry were shocked at Ana’s decision who had let go of such a big opportunity. Ana says it’s not that she doesn’t want to do such projects, but it’s just that she needs to prioritize a few things in her life. She wants to make babies, not hotels. Avi was annoyed and turns to leave. Cherry tells Ana it’s about someone. Avi says Dilip. Ana was happy and hugs Avi. She sees ten missed calls on her cell phone.
Poonam was in hospital room when Ananya opens the door. She invites Ananya inside. Dadi murmurs that papaya…. Is to be blamed. Poonam offers her tea or coffee. Ananya offers Bani anything she can do. Poonam says Bani will be fine, but Rohit is hurt. Ananya nods.
Rohit stood at the nursery window, watching cradles. Ananya comes to him. She apologizes for missing the calls, she was with the client. Rohit doesn’t reply. Ananya says Bani is fine, doctors will soon discharge her. She has settled the bills. Ananya laughs that all babies are cute, they look alike. She was talking about babies the other day. Ananya says they will talk about it some other day. Rohit says not now, and never. His daughters have grown up, it’s time for them to have babies. He has taken the decision that they can’t make babies. Ananya tries to skip the conversation but Rohit was stubborn. He gets a call from Poonam and says he is coming. He tells Ana to go home. He is taking Bani to farm house.
At home, Ana cried in front of the girls. She says she didn’t like children ever, but she wonders why it affected her so badly. She always has to face the repercussion whenever something happens to his family. Cherry says there is a problem with us girls, we always want things are not available for us. She gives an example of Vandy, who had stolen Dillip. Avi says it was just a dinner date, and they discussed varieties of fish. She asks Cherry isn’t she happy with her guy. Ana says she needs rest and goes to sleep. She thanks them for coming over.
At night, Rohit comes to Poonam besides pool. He asks Rum and Coke, when? Poonam replies she got the habit from Sheena. Rohit says Aarya is upset. Poonam says they are young. Bani is a child and its better whatever happened. Rohit says he never knew she would turn so rough. Poonam smiles, saying when life throws lemons at you, its upto us to prepare lime water or squeeze it in rum, or pickle it for a lifetime and ruin your life. She chose Rum. Rohit says he is happy that she has finally moved on. Poonam asks if he thinks she must have married like him, and be happy; like he is with his wife. Only Rohit was there for her. He broke her trust. Today everything is fine in her life, their daughters, Maa, and even he is happy with his marriage. He will have children in future. The life is flowing, then why stick to a single bank? She offers him a drink. He felt bad after a few sips.
At night, Rohit returns home. Ana was asleep. He gets into the bed and tries to kiss her. Rohit says it’s time to make our baby. Ana was elated. She says she knew he was upset then. Rohit says Poonam believes when life flows like a river, why stick to a single corner of bank. She was right. Ana asks if Poonam made him up. Rohit says he felt like a dirty old man the other day. But Poonam says when he is married to her, and she wants babies then they must move on. Ananya felt terrible while he continued.
The next morning, Ana roams around the house. She takes a photo album and watches their old photos. She recalls when she spoke to Rohit about their grey relationship, the time when Rohit proposed her for the first time, and when he left everything for her, their arguments. She cries.
Ana types a text message but can’t complete it.
On the table, Ananya tells Rohit that she had a big project yesterday but she said no. Rohit says it is the right decision. It’s actually the right time for them. He reminds about Guri’s party at night. Ana asks if his family would be there. He says Poonam and Jassi are close. He asks for a hug. Ana hugs him tightly. Rohit says it appears as if he is leaving her.
At night, Rohit returns home with a bouquet. She looks around to Ana but strangely the house was empty. He finds a letter from Ana.
He reads,
‘Dear Rohit, he must be taken aback to read what she has written. But this is the right decision. He is the only person who brought her so much happiness in a little time. But she no more wants such happiness which is liable to someone else’s wish. She realized later that she made him such a priority in life that his likes or dislikes made her lose her own self. She left her own self behind. He couldn’t leave himself behind. She wanted to win him but she is still fourth favorite in his phone list. She isn’t upset for all this, but for whom she is. Poonam is his ex-wife, his children’s mother and his mother’s daughter in law; who is she? She couldn’t get one reliable answer. She wanted to make babies, which had to be their love identity but Poonam had to allow him do this. She had left her career behind for the relationship. To be fair to this relationship, she got unfair to herself. She and Poonam learnt a lot from this relation, she got the power to make choices and Poonam got her identity. One day, he will again chose anyone of her or Poonam, for the sake of family; and family will win like forever. So today, she brought herself on number one in the list. Her being is important for her, she is worthy doesn’t mean she doesn’t love him. Her love for him will grow a little more each day. Its time she flows with the water of river; as the water that doesn’t flow gets stagnant. She requests him to let her go. Wish me luck, Kehne Ko tou humsafar thay… If ever, she is able to return; she would see if he could wait for me, my love’.
Rohit was broken. He sits in the lounge.
Ana traveled to airport with Avi. Avi says Ana is still running from him. Ana wipes her tears and says she is just taking a step towards herself. The sky is the limit, she has to keep herself forward, love herself; else others won’t as well love her. Avi and Ana head towards the terminal.
Season 2 – Love, Loss and lingerie moments
Doha Qatar – 3 years past
The episode starts with Ananya thinking that she waiting for those moments for three years. We do this. We always starve for peace, that one peaceful moment. They had fought everyone, scattered everything for that one moment. She turned to be his, but he was her mine. He was a part of another picture, and he will be so forever. Rohit’s love was real, but their dream was woven for three years but was ruined in a single letter. Some dreams have to remain just the way they are, dreams. Now it’s time for me to have a new dream for myself. She wipes her tears.
At present, Rohit was shocked to hear from Cherry that how they could go to Qatar. Cherry says it was Somani’s project, she and Avi must have reached by now. They had to go to Dubai but at last moment, Somani called them to Qatar. She needs a break. Rohit was angry and asks, break from what? From their marriage? She wrote a letter and left for Qatar, are they boyfriend, girlfriend. He left his wife, his family for her; and she left. Cherry tries to calm him down but he doesn’t. Poonam, daughters and Maa was also there. Bani tells Dadi to relax, and not to show Indian mother’s love. Bani tells Nickie to pray that Rohit stays away from Maa. Maa tells Poonam to give Rohit food, and get guest room open for him. Poonam corrects that she was his wife, not now.
Later, Poonam brings drink for Rohit at pool side. Rohit was annoyed. He says she was right, Ananya will leave him one day. Poonam must never have done so. Poonam says they are different women. She never left him, but should have. She never saw him shatter for herself. Maybe she felt something he couldn’t understand. Poonam had never thought for herself, that’s why he never gave her enough importance and left him. It needs guts to do what she has done. Rohit says whether she is drunk, or he is. Poonam says she can never like her, but somehow she never hates her. She tells Rohit to go and ask her what’s bothering her.
There, Cherry speaks to Avi on video chat about Rohit. She asks why she is stuffing her face. Avi says it’s Sympathetic, stress eating (SSE). Ana is really stressed. Ana tells them to stop discussing her. She goes to bed and scrolls her photos with Rohit.
The next morning, Ananya enters a huge building. Ana tells Avi the beauty of this area is in dome and marbles, specially handcrafted and imported from Tuscany and Jerusalem. Their guide says the dome area is 40 by 40, it has the biggest screen in the Middle East. Ana was mesmerized that it’s going to be the dream project. Mr. Somani comes there, greeting them. Ana says she thought he was busy. He says he is never busy to see his favorite designer. This is his favorite project. This project is inspired by Mr. Victoria Manuel from Italy. He shifted her from Dubai to this project, because he could sense her passion. If they have to make history, they should join hands. Ana says they can neither erase history, nor write it; they can only learn from it.
There, Guri reads the letter aloud. Rohit snatches the letter from him. Guri says Rohit didn’t learn from two experiences. Ladies are complicated. She writes that he hadn’t given importance to her job, though she valued his family. He must go to Qatar and make her up. Rohit wasn’t ready to go behind her and beg her.
Ana stood in the window. Avi comes with a party dress. Ana says it’s a lunch meeting, not a pub. Avi says Harry likes her and is handsome and rich. Ana asks what she wants, to hold an extra marital affair, or patch up with her husband. Avi says she only wants her to stay happy. Ana cries that she is keeping herself busy with work because she is shattered. She left home because she couldn’t survive a place where she has no self-worth. She just want to be herself. She isn’t ok. Her suggestions make her question herself. Avi apologizes Ana, and says who this Harry is. Ana leaves.
Rohit watches the message from Guri who had confirmed the flight to Qatar. Guri says he is a friend and a brother as well. He doesn’t want his life ruined.
Ana waits in the meeting and tells Avi to come soon, Harry must be here for the meeting. She spots a couple kiss, and thinks of Rohit. Rohit enters the hotel and sits in front of her. Ana was shocked to see him. Rohit orders a bottle of wine. He says what she thought, he would accept a letter. Their love isn’t so weak that it can be broken with only a letter. He didn’t accept her resignation from their love. Ana was happy. Rohit says he will follow her wherever she would go.
Harry comes with an apology for delay. Ananya realizes she was smiling, but Rohit wasn’t there. Harry says it’s good to see her smile, didn’t she like Qatar. Ananya says she is happy. Harry offers to call Rohit here as well. Ananya wasn’t ready to discuss her personal life. Harry was joined by his girlfriend, Ayesha who sits in his lap. Harry introduces Ayesha as a designer. Avi joins them. Avi offers to have a selfie. They all pose together. Avi uploads the photo on facebook. Ananya continues with the presentation.
Bani was leaving the house. Aarya was watching football. Bani says she is going to Pooja. Aarya was ready to go with her. He convinces Bani that it’s been five days only. Bani was irritated and says it was just a miscarriage. She doesn’t want to meet anyone, not mom, dad or him. Aarya says it was his baby as well, and he lost it too. Bani argues that she wasn’t ready to have a baby, then she had it and got used to it; but Aarya will never understand what’s going on in her mind. Aarya stops Bani says requests her not to drink.
Rohit sat at New Delhi Airport, just to leave for Doha. He watches the selfie on social media and decides that Ana doesn’t need him in Doha.
At night, Ayesha was bored. Harry offers for party. Ana didn’t want to go, and turns to go to her room. Harry says party isn’t out of protocol. Ana says she didn’t come here to party, she wants to work, and that’s what she came here for. She comes to the hotel lobby. Rohit was waiting there for her. Ananya walks towards him.
Later, Ananya sat with Rohit. He asks how the lunch was. She says it was ok. He asks who this Harry Somani is. Ananya asks why she needs to give him explanations. She came here to work. Rohit asks if she thought she would leave a letter, and he will wait as Devdas. Ananya says she could never say whatever she had written. He can call her a coward, but she wanted him to understand what she intended to say. Rohit says he left his family to marry her. Ananya argues that she waited for him to marry her for three years. What’s this calculation going on? She has always prioritized him. She understands he has daughters, but she shouldn’t be the last to be on the list. She leaves the table. Rohit follows that he has come all the way to understand the problem. He asks why she is trying to end the marriage. Ananya says she only wants a break, a break from this tag of ownership he raises. He has other people in his life, as a priority. Other wives must be like this, but she isn’t. She won’t change her mind. Rohit follows her in the lift, and asks why she left the house. Ananya says she only wanted some time for herself. His constant to and from messes her life. They had reached the corridor. Rohit says before marriage they never fought, he used to come. Ana completes that she dropped everything and used to be available for him. Rohit tells her not to be cheap, he dropped his family. Ananya says they are always there, between them, above them, below them. She tells Rohit to let it to, this is going off tangent. Rohit asks if she loves him. She says she does. Rohit says he loves her. Isn’t this enough. Ananya says only love isn’t enough? Can she wait for her for three months? Rohit tells her to work on many properties of his friends, but living here will affect their marriage. Ananya asks him to stay here then. Rohit says it took him 23 years to establish the company. Ananya argues it took her 8 years. Rohit was angry now. He says he doesn’t get her and leaves. Ananya stops him from behind.
