Keh Doon Tumhein Actor Mithil Jain Applauds Evolving TV Content: Believes Actors Thrive in Diverse Storylines
In a refreshing take on the changing landscape of television content, Mithil Jain, known for his roles in shows like Ye Hai Mohabbatein and Begusarai, expresses his satisfaction with the industry’s shift towards diverse narratives. Currently portraying a negative character in Keh Doon Tumhein after his stint in the family drama Shubh Labh, Mithil commends the industry for exploring unconventional themes.
Elaborating on the evolving content in a recent interview, Mithil states, “I am glad that TV shows are now attempting different stories and have newer concepts. My last show was a family drama with a beautiful message on superstitions and age-old beliefs in society. And this show too is different from the regular family drama.”
Emphasizing the positive impact of diverse storytelling, he adds, “If makers attempt different concepts, actors will get meatier roles. It is important to write different stories in different genres. But at the end of the day, I understand it is business, and they have to do what works. So I feel audience’s tastes too need to change.”
Acknowledging the challenges in the entertainment industry, Mithil discusses the competitive nature of showbiz. “There is stiff competition and one needs to constantly upgrade oneself. An actor’s life is tough because once a show is over, he walks the tightrope between auditioning for roles and at the same time making the right choice in picking up his next project,” he notes.
On a personal note, Mithil shares insights into his recent break after the conclusion of Shubh Labh. Reflecting on his family holiday to Bali, he remarks, “It was a great time on the beaches and getting to know the local culture. We are vegetarians and thought it was a bit tough finding vegetarian options for food, we had a great time exploring the place. It was also a gift to my elder son, who did very well in his board exams.”
Mithil Jain’s perspective highlights the symbiotic relationship between innovative content, actors’ opportunities, and the evolving tastes of the audience in the dynamic world of television.
