Scene 1
Kashi says to Baji when I eat and don’t that’s my problem. Let’s go. Baji says I don’t want to eat. I am your friend, I can’t leave you like this. This isn’t right. Kashi says I don’t want to come between you and my mom. I don’t like this. He says she got you married to me and now she wants to remove you from middle? Now you will stay with me. Radha brings food. She says don’t you wanna eat now? I will make you both eat. She makes Baji and Kashi eat. Radha says in heart I won’t lose easily Kashi. Kashi says it’s so spicy. Baji runs to get water. Radha says Kashi, this won’t happen every day. That you will stay in your room and Baji will come here and you will give lectures. Do the ritual, don’t start new ones. Kashi says water.. Baji gives her water. Radha says learn to tolerate spices, life is spicy.
Radha leaves. Kashi hugs her and cries. Kashi says after wedding for the first time someone made me eat. You always said MIL is never mom. No one fed me with hands after I got married. I felt like my mom was here. radha says I am glad to know you cosnider me a mom and you say things that are in your heart. I do the same. Hence, you are my DIL not daughter. A DIL has to take care of the rituals. Kashi says I promise you there will be no fight between your son and you. She kisses her hand. Kashi leaves. Radha says time to give you real responsibility of the family. I want Kashi who puts her husband and in laws first.
Scene 2
Kashi and Baji sit outside. Kashi says if we eat together, no one would be able to eat. I won’t like it. Baji says but this isn’t right. Kashi says it will only happen when Radha says we will eat together. Baji says she would never. I will eat with you and you’re my friend. Kashi says respect of elders is also important. She might not consider me her daughter but she’s my mom from today. Baji says wow, that’s very good. Kashi says open your kurta. He says why. Ganga brings a paste. Kashi says open it. Baji takes off his kurta. He says I no wound. His shoulder hurts. Kashi says see now. She applies the paste on his shoulders. Baji says sit here. He says won’t I get sin? She says if you touch my feet, I would get sin. He says everytime the girl gets sins? Who made these rituals? Kashi says you can think all night. She laughs. Baji laughs too.
Scene 3
Baji does push ups with Chimaji the next morning. Baji says if someone hasn’t ever done horse ridding and they suddenly do it, what does it mean? Chimaji says you mean how Kashi picked the sword when she hated it? You are special to her. Baji says shut up. Baji says she loves her doll. Chimaji says then sit in its place.
Kashi wakes up. She sees her doll and says don’t look at me like that. I had to get up for Baji. He does so much for me. Ganga comes and says give this doll’s place to Baji. You should talk to him after waking up. This doll doesn’t speak. Kashi says he’s as good friend to me as Baji. Radha brings her saree. She says my MIL gave me her saree and took me around and told me all the rituals. Kashi says but you handle everything. Radha says how many soldiers we have? She says I don’t know. Radha asks maids? She says don’t know. Radha says then you should. Wear the saree and come. I will tell you. Ganga says Kashi wear your MIL’s saree and become DIL.
Scene 4
Kashi gets ready. Baji comes there. He looks at her and smiles. He hair flip on his face. Kashi laughs. Kashi says is this how you come to a girl’s room? He says what if the girl is my friend? He says I got these chikoos for you. Kashi says I love them. He says have them. Kamini says Radha is waiting for you. Kashi says make me eat chikoo I will get ready. Kashi gets ready. Baji makes her eat.
