Karishma Sawant, known for her portrayal of Aarohi in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH), bids an emotional farewell as the show enters its fourth generation under the production of Rajan Shahi’s Directors Kut Production.
Expressing gratitude, Karishma shares, “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has changed my life. I became an actor on the set; what else can I say? It gave me a career that I dreamt of.”
The final shoots of the show proved to be an unexpectedly emotional experience for the actor. She admits, “Well, I did not expect it to be emotional. I thought I would be fine, but I did end up getting emotional. Not only was I going to miss the offscreen bond, but also the characters. I will miss the world we created.”
Reflecting on her role as Aarohi, which garnered immense love, Karishma shares her takeaways. “I will cherish the memories created with the entire team and that set which felt like home. I loved playing Aarohi. It started with some shades, and how life changed her was phenomenal. She only lived for her daughter. It taught me that motherhood can change you for good.”
Addressing the iconic sibling bond between Akshara and Aarohi, she notes, “Akshara and Aarohi’s relationship wasn’t easy, but one thing was sure that deep down, family is family, and they always knew that and would have each other’s back in times of trouble.”
As Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continues its legacy, Karishma extends best wishes to the new cast and expresses eagerness for future roles. “I just want to give my best to whatever comes my way with all my heart as I always do,” she concludes.
