Shakti Astitv Ke Ehsas kii actress Kamya Punjabi is all set to tie the knot for the second time to the love of her life Shalabh Dang. Shalabh is a Delhi-based healthcare professional and they lovebirds will walk down the aisle on February 10, 2020.
Talking about her wedding plans to Bombay Times, Kamya revealed,”Honestly, ekdum se (wedding) date aa gayi, which caught me off guard. I would have ideally liked it to happen a few months later, as I wanted to enjoy the feeling of going-to-be-married-soon for a little longer. However, our families, Shalabh and eventually I, too, decided that we didn’t want to wait for that long. Post our reception in Delhi, we will then leave for our honeymoon, jahaan main bikini pehenungi (laughs!). Shalabh and I are yet to zero in on a destination.”
An intimate affair or a fairytale big fat Indian wedding? Kamya shares, “We will get married in a gurudwara, with only family and close friends in attendance. While the shaadi will be a family affair, the other functions will be total dhamaal. I don’t want to stand on a stage greeting the guests and receiving gifts. Mujhe apni shaadi mein naachna hai. So, it will be my kind of party and main paagalon ki tarah naachungi.”
The pre-wedding rituals — haldi, mehendi and sangeet — will take place on February 9, followed by a grand party on February 11. One more reception will follow in Delhi as well. The two met and started dating in February 2019 and exactly a year later will walk down the aisle.
