Getting frustrated on knowing the orders of Lord Krishna about their united performance in the Shivaratri pooja, both princesses went to meet Lord Krishna at the same time. They told the guard , who was guarding Lord Krishna’s room that they want to meet Lord Krishna in person. (One-at-a-time). But Lord Krishna asked to bring both of them at the same time. Both of them were on top of anger to know this but without any choice they entered the room.
Lord Krishna started playing with them by saying what a surprise to see both sisters coming to meet their father together. Kamalanayani said “Pithashree, I got to know that you wanted Rajakumari Padmavadhani to sing during my dance. I was dancing on this occasion from the year I was born. But I came to you to say that I will not perform during this year’s Shivaratri.”
Again Padmavadhani said that “Pithashree, I also was about to say the same thing. But upon knowing Rajkumari Kamalanayani’s decision, I will sing during this Shivaratri but no dance is required for Mahadev’s pooja.”
Kamalanayani said “Lord Shiva has taken an avatar for dancing – Lord Nataraja. But he did not take any avatar for your singing.”
Padmavadhani said “Lord Shiva himself if music. Om Namashivaya itself is music. He resides inside music.”
Kamalanayani said “Rajkumari Padmavadhani, do understand one thing that you have no right to comment on my favorite art. I did not say to Pithashree that “I don’t want YOU to perform during the Shivaratri pooja. But the moment you want me not to perform then I am sure in a decision that, I will perform on this Shivaratri Pooja as usual.”
Padmavadhani said “So be it, Rajakumari Kamalanayani. I won’t sing for your dance.”
Kamalanayani said “I know that. I also don’t want you to sing for me. There are so many singers in this great kingdom of Dvaraka.”
Lord Krishna intervened. He said “Excuse me Rajakumaris. May I speak now. If you both want to perform in the Shivaratri pooja then you both have no option other than to perform together. Padma should sing and Kamala should dance.”
Both we left with no choice. Finally Lord Krishna made them to accept.
Padma said “Keep in mind Rajakumari Kamalanayani. You are going to dance. We may rehearse but if I change my song during the final performance then you cannot dance perfectly. Dance depends on the thala & jadis that I am going to sing. People will finally conclude that you did not dance for my jadis”. Kamalanayani was ready for anything.
(Note: Actually before her birth, while she was in Kailash, she has danced on-spot to the beats of Shiva-damaru. It was a test for her dance by Lord Shiva who finally blessed her that she can perform for any beat or thala or jadhi on-spot without any practice.)
Now, Lord Krishna feels that it is time for his daughter to get back her atma-dharshan. (Already I told you that she forgot the moment she was born in human form.)
First day of Rehearsal – Kamalanayani and Padmavadhani were like oil and water put together but force. Kamala danced on her wish and Padma sang on her wish. But both did not match even in a single thala. But they were arguing with each other.
On the morning of the second day. Kamala entered Lord Krishna’s room to perform her daily austerity duty ie, to make him ready. She was about to start. Then Padma entered him room. Lord Krishna knew it. Kamala asked her the reason for coming inside her father’s room. Padma replied that she wants to speak only to her father not to anybody else.
She asked Lord Krishna that Pithashree, are seeing any difference between your daughters. He replied never. Then why are you allowing only your elder daughter to have this great opportunity. Why not me ?. Lord Krishna had no option so he asked her to co-ordinate with her sister. Kamala thought that Padma wanted to snatch this austerity from her and not to give up at any cost. Kamala was silent and waiting for an opportunity, which she immediately got. Padma wanted to place an ornament but Kamala has used in the last day. She said I have used it already for pithashree’s yesterday makeover. He has to be unique every day. But Padma was stubborn. Kamala asked her father to give the opportunity to one of them.
Lord Krishna said he cannot do that. Both of you must unite. And you both should not argue or fight like this. But Kamala left the room. Padma did it alone.
Her finishing was in such a condition that Lord Krishna cancelled the sabha on that day even though he loved what his daughter did….
But he wanted both of his daughters to get united soon… (Its gonna happen in the next episode)
