Chapter 6
The moment of half truth !!
Everyone nodded as soon as Karthik entered the Goenka Industries office, not because he was their owner’s son but because he and his sister had saved the business when it was in a huge crisis some years ago. If it wouldn’t have been for Keerti Goenka and Karthik Goenka than all the staff members would have lost their jobs.
Even though Karthik was completing his graduation when the family business had a down fall but still he helped his sister in all that he could do. Since he had now completed his internship, he became a member of the board of directors. He would now be officially joining the family business.
Karthik crossed the hallway and finally reached the board meeting room. He entered and looked around the empty room and sighed but his eyes welled up seeing a particular chair beside the head chair. A memory flashed in his mind when he slowly moved his fingers over the chair.
—Flashback—
“Karthik stop it. Dont be so childish.” She shouted at her brother.
“Whats so childish in this, dii ?!!” Karthik asked.
“You are revolving the wheelchair when I am sitting in it. Isnt it what kids do ?!!” She asked him.
“You should get used to this, Dii. After all you are the one who’s going to be the CEO after dad retiers.” He said and smiled at her.
“Yeah. But even you would be joining me. You know that right ?!!” She said.
“Noway. Even you know that I am not the businessman type of guy. Helping you with the administration is one thing but completely getting involved in this and becoming a member of the board is another thing.” He stated.
“Yeah. I want you to follow your passion for music. Become a sensational singer one day and make me proud.” She said and kissed Karthik on the top of his nose.
—Flashback ends —
Karthik came out of his memories when he felt someone’s hand on his shoulder. He turned around to find Shantanu bhai. Even his eyes were moist looking at the chair. Karthik was sure, even he was missing Keerti dii.
“I know that it belongs to her. She had worked hard to get this spot and it will always be her’s.” Shantanu bhai said.
“Yes, we have to make sure that the business maintains at the height where she had made it. Otherwise, when she will return she will eat our heads off.” Karthik said and smiled.
“You still have a hope, that she will come back ?!!” Shantanu bhai asked.
Karthik nodded and wipped the tear that had now slipped down to his cheek. Then he hugged his brother and sobbed softly. He knew even Shantanu bhai was missing her, but all they could do was, wait for her to come back.
Manish Goenka who had watched the whole exchange between his two sons, stood there stumped to the core. His jaw Clenched indicating his try to Control his anger and pain but he failed in doing so and walked towards his car. He got in and started driving towards the villa.
As soon as he reached the villa, he walked towards his study. Suwarna didn’t fail to notice her husband tensed and followed him. He collapsed down on his study table with his head in his palms.
He had disowned Keerti because she went aganist his wish but then later the guilt occupied his living state. He experienced darkness even in bright sunshine because the daughter whom he had broken all relations with, was his only source to happiness.
He loved her more than he ever loved Karthik or Shantanu. She was his favourite among all his kids. Afterall she was daddy’s girl. He still remembered her comforting him and supporting him when their business was going through a financial crisis.
He knew she had a great business sense and she had brought it to use for their family business. He thought of making her the CEO of the Goenka Industries but no, she had some other plans in her mind.
She had agreed to get married to a boy her father had choosen. He had made sure that she was happy with the relation. The whole marriage was fixed only when she had agreed to it. But yet, she ran off on the wedding day. He was disappointed in his daughter for the first time that day.
A couple of months later, Karthik revealed that he loved a girl and this time, Manish didn’t want to take any wrong step and so he accepted the proposal but destiny played its game with his son this time. Gayatri Deora who entered their house already had a plan to leave it and hurt everyone. She successfully succeeded in bleeding his son’s heart.
Suwarna knocked on the study’s door. He opened the door and saw his wife’s face with determined eyes. It didn’t take much time for him to realise that he should probably open himself infront of her and tell her everything.
“Can I talk to you ?!!” Suwarna asked sensing the inner turmoil that was happening in her husband’s mind and heart.
Manish let her get inside the study and closed the door . Silence filled the distance between them for almost 5minutes. Manish burst out when Suwarna placed her hand on his shoulder.
“I miss her, Suwarna. I miss her every moment. She is the definition of happiness for me. I have forgotten to live since she has went away. I want her back.” he said while sobbing lightly.
“If you love and miss her so much, then call her back home. Call Keerti and damad jii to where they belong.” She said.

Ohkay so I know that I have not stuck to the precap given in the last Chapter. This came naturally and so I decided to write this. Hope you all liked it.

Also I know that this Chapter and the previous Chapter had more family drama and less kaira but don’t worry, Kaira moments and romance coming your way soon.
