Kaira : Together for a moment called Forever by Vrushy ( Chapter 10 )

Hello Everyone.
Chapter 10
Sun mere Humsafar……

It was way past midnight when Naira woke up because of thirst. She turned to get down from the bed and saw a bottle of water on the night stand. She had small sips of water from it. Now having woken up in the middle of the night, Naira couldn’t go back to sleep.

She wondered about where Karthik was ?!!

He was not in the room. She sat in the dim lights for a while. Then feeling restless , she tried to hop out of the room. Outside the room, the corridor lights were on but dimmed as well.

She looked both ways and saw light coming from one of the rooms at the far end. Curious, she went that way. As she got near the room she could hear a beautiful melody. She went inside and at one end of the room saw Karthik sitting on a chair with a guitar in his hand and singing lightly.

Sun mere humsafar,
Kya tujhe itni si bhi khabar,
Ki teri saanse chalti jidhar,
Rahunga bas wahi umrr bhar,
Rahunga bas wahi umrr bhar haaye.

Jitni haseen ye mulakatein hai,
Unse bhi pyari teri baatein hai ,
Baaton mein teri jo kho jaate hai.

Aaun na hosh mein main kabhi,
Baahon mein hai teri zindagi haaye.

Main toh yoon khada,
kis Soch mein pada tha,
Kaise jee raha tha main deewana.

Chupke se aake tune,
Dil mein sama ke tune,
Chhed diya kaisa ye fasana.

Oh muskurana bhi tujhi se sikha hai,
Dil lagane ka tu hi tareeka hai,
Aitbaar bhi tujhi se hota hai,
Aaun na hosh mein main kabhi
Bahon mein hai teri zindagi haaye

Hai nahi tha pata,
Ke tujhe maan lunga khuda,
Ki teri galliyon mein iss kadar,
Aaunga har paher

Sun mere humsafar,

Naira stood there for a while looking at him all immersed in the song. She felt a sense of longing seeing him sitting there in his white kurta pyjama, the guitar in his hand and the pain in his voice. Then as quietly as she could she turned around and left the room.

Karthik felt a strange sensation creep all over his being. He felt restless and looked towards the door. He saw no one there.

He went to the door and looked outside. He saw Naira, dressed in light yellow satin pyjamas, slowly and carefully going in the opposite direction.He felt a wave of warmth sweep all over him as he saw her petite form and that curtain of dark hair sashaying across her back with each of her hopping step.

In a couple of long strides, he caught up with her.

” Why are you walking about by yourself ?!! You could get hurt.” he asked her softly. He thought that she might have woken up because of his singing.

“I woke up to drink water and couldn’t go back to sleep as you were not there. I thought I’ll look around and saw light from this room. Sorry if I disturbed you.” she said.

“You should have called me. Anyway, sit with me till you feel sleepy enough.” he said smiling. She just nodded her head absent mindly.

Karthik supported her as she hopped on her left leg to the room. He tilted his head sideways to have a look at her and was blown away by her aura.

She was enchanting and absolutely stunning. He wanted this girl to stay in his life forever. But then he had learnt to not expect too much from his past encounter. He wanted her by his side but did she want him ?!!

He guided her by holding her shoulders towards the bed in the room. He made her sit down in a semi-sleeping position so that her back rested on the headrest of the bed.

He gently lifted her feet and placed them on the bed, infront of her. There was a shawl lying nearby. He got that and covered her with it. Unable to resist the urge, he gently caressed her forehead running his fingers through her hair. He felt a quiver run through her and immediately pulled back. He sat down next to her feet and looked at her.

“Who’s room is this ?!!” She asked looking around the room. It was pink in colour and clearly looked like some girl’s room. Th left wall of the room had about 50 photoframes covering the whole wall.

She could see a girl with Karthik and Shantanu bhai in some photos. She was with Manish papa and Suwarna maa in others. While some of them were her solo pics.

“Its my Dii’s room.” he asnwered looking into the distance.

Naira understood the seriousness of the situation and tried to divert the topic. She didn’t want any heavy talks as of now.

” I didn’t know you sing so well.” She said looking at the guitar that now lay on the chair he had been sitting on previously.

“Well we don’t know half of the things about each other.” He stated the fact and regreted it immediately. She was trying to build up a conversation between the two of them while he had just put her off with the harsh truth.

“I am sorry Naira. I just got carried away. I know that we are married now but I can’t forget the fact and the situation under which we are bound in this relationship. I have a past and I have still not gotten over it. I need some time to accept this relationship.” He said looking at her.

Naira looked down at her hands. She was surprised that he had finally let out his feelings infront of her. Well it was her chance now.

“I understand. Even I need some time. Its not so easy for me to accept your past as well. It sometimes pains me to know that you are my first in everything but I am not. I feel that I would always be your second. I don’t know why but I feel hurt that you have already had this relationship with someone else before me. ” She said still looking down.

All the urge he had been having all day to hold her, kiss her, comfort her came rushing in a tide of desire and crashed into him as she spoke those words. She was hurt and in pain, he couldn’t take it any more now.

Strongly compelled, he closed the distance between their faces and tentatively kissed her lightly on her lips. She shivered and clutched his sleeves. He slid further ahead and supported her by hugging her.

Naira felt a surge of desire racking her body. When she did not protest he kissed her again but this time it was a deep kiss that blended their beings. He hugged her tightly running one hand through her hair as he steadily lost all control. The slippery fabric of her top made his hands slip and impatient with it he slid his hands on to her skin.

Her skin felt incredibly soft and warm under his touch. He had a feeling that her warmth was infusing him with life and he hungrily pressed his palms against her sides stroking them. As his right hand moved all over her back and started to move forward she shivered hard and gripped his back tightly.

Karthik suddenly woke up to what he was doing. He pulled back and saw her flushed face, closed eyes, open mouth and dishevelled hair. He felt his heart become so full that it hurt. As he looked at her with wet eyes he realized how vulnerable she was in his arms right now.

He hugged her softly and patted the back of her head to calm her down. They hugged until their breaths were steady again.

Both of them were still not ready for this. They needed to fulfill their emotional needs first and then go for the physical ones. There was still time……
