Kaira : Together for a moment called Forever by Vrushy ( Chapter 7 )

Chapter 7
The headache that brings them closer.

Karthik came home late that night. He was way too much disturbed with everything that was going around him. He was missing keerti a lot that day and also his first day at the Goenka Industries was very hectic. He was tired, both physically as well as mentally.

His head started paining a lot due to all the stress and the emotional turmoil. He sat on his bed with his head sandwiched between his palms. But nothing helped.

Suddenly a cool breeze surrounded his mind and heart and he was cooling down. He looked towards the source of this calmness and found naira standing near the door looking at him worriedly.

“What happened ?!!” She asked as she moved towards him.

“Headache !!” He groaned in pain.

She nodded her head and went towards the dressing table. She opened the drawer and removed a bottle of hair oil. She took the bottle and walked out of the room.

Karthik wondered what was she upto. He shook his head and opened the drawer of the bedside table to remove the medicine box. He started searching through the medicine strips for the headache pill. When he finally found it he removed a tablet from the strip and poured a glass of water for himself.

He was about to take the pill but Naira stopped him midway.

“A tablet is not the solution. It just masks your pain and doesn’t make it go away. The pain is there but you just can not feel it. So its better to end the pain and not just ignore it.” She said and took the tablet from his hand and threw it in the bin.

Karthik looked at her trying to find out if she was talking in general or was there some hidden meaning behind her words. She pulled him by his hand and made him sit on the bed with crossed legs. He obliged.

Naira dipped her fingers in the oil bowl that she had brought with her and then slowly massaged his head. The oil was warm and thus karthik understood why she had taken it downstairs. Naira again dipped her fingers in the oil and slowly moved them through his hair. Karthik felt all his tight muscles loosing up. He was slowly coming back to himself.

All the tiredness, worry and sadness vanished away.Naira kept on massaging his head as she felt him relaxing by every passing second. She was glad that atleast she could make all his pain go away. Only though it was a headache.

When naira was done with the massaging and the oil in the bowl had finished, karthik was feeling sleepy by that time. He just lay down on the bed and closed his eyes.

“Don’t you want to have dinner ?!!” Naira asked looking at his sleeping form.

“I am not hungry.” He replied sleeply.

“But you haven’t eaten anything since luch. Just wait a minute, I will bring some warm milk for you. Don’t sleep, ohkay ?!!” She said and hurried out of the room.

By the time she had brought a cup of warm milk for him, Karthik was already asleep. She called him out once but there was no response from his side. So she let him sleep and kept the glass on the sidetable.

Naira on the other hand didn’t know what to do. She never usually slept early in the night and thus she had to do something to kill her time.

A coil breeze touched her cheeks, which made her go towards the balcony. She stood there leaning on the railing of the balcony. The coldness felt by her feet brought tickles which travelled till her stomach. She steched her arms and inhaled deeply.

She felt like dancing with the breeze but then controlled herself and walked towards the cradle to sit in it.

I know this was like the shortest update I have every written but then its all I could manage right now. but as a compensation will be posting the next Chapter today itself.

The next two Chapters will have kaira romance and their cute moments so don’t go anywhere. Stay tunned as lots of interesting stuff coming up !!
