Chapter 5
The Gajar ka Halwa !!

Naira had nothing to do all day. She was bored of sitting alone in her room and that’s when she decided to go downstairs and find something to do. She walked out of the room and was desending the stairs when Aaryan walked in with his school bag. He seemed tired and thus he plonked himself down on the sofa. Naira laughed at his cute antics.

She walked to the dinning table, poured some water in a glass and took that to him. She offered the glass and aaryan showed his toothless smile to her.

“You have no idea, how tiring today’s day was, chachi. I had to study all through the morning and then we also had football practice in the afternoon. You know I am the captain of the football team.” Aaryan kept on speaking as Naira watched him adorably.

“I am hungry, Chachi.” He said finally when his stomach growled.

“What do you want to eat ?!! I will make it for you.” She asked him.

“I want to eat Gajar ka halwa. Its my favourite. Will you make it ?!!” He asked her.

“Yes. I will make it. You go and freshen up. Your halwa will be ready when you come down.” She said.

It took about 20 mins for naira to prepare the sweet dish. When she walked out of the kitchen with the bowl in her hand, Aaryan was already sitting on the dinning table with an empty plate in front of him and a spoon in his hand. She served him the halwa.

“Thank you so much, chachi. I love you. You are the best.” Aaryan cooed after eating a spoonful.

Naira could not control anymore and she bent down and kissed him on his cheeks. He was just too adorable to handle.

“Even I want Gajar ka halwa.” Shantanu who had just returned from the office said as he could smell the delicious aroma from the doorstep as well.

He walked towards the dinning table and sat down next to Aaryan with a spoon in his hand. Naira served some halwa to him as well.

“Give some of it to your poor husband. Its his favourite as well.” Shantanu said in between his bites.

Naira nodded her head and took some halwa in a small bowl to take it upstairs to their room. She entered their room with the bowl in her hands and searched for Karthik. When she couldn’t find him in the room, she walked towards the balcony and found him sitting in the cradle and reading some book.

“This is for you.” She said forwarding the bowl towards him while he tilted his head and looked at her questiongly.

“Its Gajar ka halwa. Shantanu bhaiya said that you like it.” She said.

He took the bowl from her and put a spoonful of the sweet dish in his mouth. He moaned at its delecasy.

“You made it ?!!” He asked her.

She just nodded her head and smiled.

“Its delicious. Thank you.” He said and smiled at her, then he started to devour the sweet dish.

Naira went to take a shower to get rid of the kitchen smell that was coming off her body. She dried her hair with the towel after getting fresh and opened one of the doors of the dressing table to find a comb.

That’s when she realized that she still hasn’t unpacked her luggage. The dressing table was completely filled with his things. She immediately closed the door with a force which resulted in something hard, falling on her head, probably from the roof of the dresser.

“Ouch !!” Naira groaned in pain.

She looked down at the thing that had caused her pain and realised that it is an album. She slowly picked it up in her lap and cleaned the dust on its cover and opened it. Her expressions changed from frowning to shocked looking at the photographs in it.

The photograph consists of Karthik with some girl in a bridal attire. It looked like a wedding album. His smile is so genuine and pure, infact she hasn’t for once seen that smile on him till now. He looked so happy at the time of his first wedding, probably.

A photo fell down as she was turning the pages of the album. She immediately picked it up.

The girl in the photo looked too beautiful. Her smile was angelic. No wonder Karthik fell for her.

Naira turned the photograph and saw a few lines written on the Backside.

“I love you Gayu and will keep doing so till eternity.”

“Gayu ?!!” Naira whispered her name and a tear rolled down from her eyes.

Another short update for you all. Hope you liked it.

Well many of you asked me about Aaryan in the last Chapter. Incase you peeps remember he was also in perfectly imperfect and was a medium for kaira understanding each other.
