Chapter 44
When she plans on confessing.

Naira exhaled dramatically as she stepped into the hall of the empty Goenka mansion. All the family members had gone to Singhania Sadan along with Keerti dii as the due date was this week itself. It was a family dinner so that Everyone could spend some time together before the baby arrives.

Naira had stayed back as she had some surprise in her mind. After yesterday night, Naira couldn’t control her feelings for Karthik. She couldn’t stay without telling him about her love. As far as his feelings were concerned, Naira beleived that even he loves her back.

He took care of her and supported her yesterday after knowing the truth, why would he do that if not he loved her.

So Naira had decided that today was the day. She would confess her love to him and then they would happily lead the rest of their life. She had a perfect dinner date in her mind where she will cook all his favourite dishes and then would tell him how she felt.

Karthik was supposed to come home in an hour and then they were supposed to go to Singhania Sadan but little did he know what was in store for him.

Naira had gone out to buy some candles and flowers so that she can create a romantic atmosphere before the confession. All the shopping and excitement took a toll on her body and she was dead tired now itself.

Sighning, she made her way to their room but froze as a cool breeze hit her. Frowning, she turned towards the balcony and was surprised to see its door open. She thought that may be she forgot to lock it before going out.

She closed the door and walked towards washroom after selecting a blue color dress, his favorite color. It was a long night gown that perfectly highlighted her curves.

When she returned completely dressed, a smile came on her lips thinking about the ways she could use to please her husband. She needed to look her best today. He should be impressed by her efforts.

After she got herself ready, she headed downstairs towards the kitchen. She was going to cook a small two course dinner just for the two of them. She decided on a paneer sabji, Rotis and gajar ka halwa as Karthik liked all of them.

Through out the time she was cooking, she felt like someone was staring at her but she brushed off the feeling. She was all alone in the mansion, how was that even possible. She scolded herself for thinking too much and got back to cooking.

It was almost eight o’clock when she finished with the dinner. She placed the candles she had brought on the dinning table and also kept all the dishes made by her there. It looked like a perfect candle light dinner setting.

She then strolled towards her bedroom lazily with a stupid satisfied smile plastered on her lips. From the day she had dreamed about Karthik and Gayatri, she had only realised how much she loved him. She kept on falling in love with him more and more as each day passed.

There was nothing in him that she can loathe. He is funny at the same time serious, perfectly knows everything about her mood and behaves according to it. He takes care of her and goes out of his way to make sure that she is ohkay.

Though she never came to know about his intensity of love but she can only imagine it by the fact that he thought of ending his life for his family. A person who decides to kill himself only because he has caused pain to his loved ones, is surely the most loving person.

Naira pursued her lips thinking and analyzing the information. The only thing that always bothered her was that maybe Karthik was still in love with Gayu because he still feels uncomfortable whenever something happens that reminds him of her.

Sighing deeply, she caressed the locket in her hand. She had bought it as a gift for Karthik. It had a small “KN” pendant haging in the middle stewed with diamonds. She decided on giving it to him today if he reciprocates her feelings.

As she was in her own world, thinking about stuff, two strong arms wrapped around her waist and she stilled. The warmth of the hands and the body which was plastered to her back, increased her breathing speed along with her heart beat.

The warm breath fanning her neck released a knot of butterflies in her stomach. Without protesting, she stood rooted on the spot. She didn’t realise when Karthik came home or in their room. She thought that she must have been too busy in her thoughts to notice him coming back from office.

Naira closed her eyes when the grip on her waist became tight. His every touch was awakening some strange feelings inside her.

“Karthik…” she murmured with her eyes still closed.

Suddenly, he left her and Naira immediately opened her eyes. She turned back when she heard the sound of a vase breaking.

As she met the gaze of an angry person she was not only shocked but also scared of what was going to happen next.

So I did manage to write this one yesterday but was not able to post it. But here it is. I have barely posted two updates simultaneously in the last few weeks and I am soo sorry for making you all wait.

I hope you liked this update. Also as I had told you that this is the last phase of the FF. The countdown has began. Only 6 more Chapters to go. I will be ending this FF in the 50th Chapter.
