Chapter 4
The start of something new !!
Naira blinked opened her eyes listening to a knock on the door. She turned to look at the bed and was surprised as Karthik was not there. She slowly got up from the couch and opened the door.
“Good morning beta. Get ready and come down quickly as you need to cook your first Rasoi.” Suwarna said smiling sweetly at Naira.
Naira smiled back and nodded her head in yes. She closed the door and wondered where Karthik might be. It is then that she realised how big her room was. She slowly walked into the balcony and inhaled the fresh morning air and turned to the other side. The smile on her face faded away as she saw Karthik sitting there in a cradle with laptop in his hands.
He was looking at her and she immediately pulled down her hands. They had an eye lock for a swift moment but it broke when his phone started ringing. She immediately went inside the room to freshen up.
Naira had a bath and was currently standing infront of the mirror in a mess of a red saree. He had been trying to drape the saree for about the last 15 mins but failed to even start with the process. Karthik started laughing aloud seeing her, as she struggled with her saree pleats. Naira looked up and found him leaning on the balcony door and grinning at her.
“Why are you laughing ?!!” She asked him angrily pushing back the hair that were falling on her face.
“Why don’t you wear something that you are comfortable with ?!!” he asked her in between his laughs.
“Its my first rasoi today. Your mom would be expecting me to be in a saree.” She answered.
Karthik smiled lightly at that. So he was not wrong about her. She would surely bring happiness in his life as well as his family’s life. She was his hope.
Karthik took out his phone and searched for a video on Youtube. He finally found the “how to wear a saree” video and played it. He kept his phone on the dressing table so that Naira could see it. He went towards the wardrobe, got out his clothes and went inside the washroom with out uttering a word.
Naira smiled at his sweet gesture. She had come to know that he was not a bad person. Thus, she decided to give him a chance. Give their relationship a chance. But, she also remembered the fact that he was in love with someone else.
Karthik came out of the washroom all freshed up and sparkling. He noticed Naira had worn the saree perfectly and now was wearing her jhumka’s. He looked into her eyes through the mirror as she applied Kajal.
“Thank you.” She turned around and said. He just nodded her head and smiled at her. After Karthik got dressed, Naira handed him his phone and then they both went downstairs.
“Naira, Vrushika will help you in finding the ingredients that you need. She is already in the kitchen. Ask her if you want anything.” Suwarna maa said.
She slowly made her way to kitchen where Vrushika Bhabhi was already busy in cooking something. Vrushika Bhabhi was the wife of Karthik’s elder brother, Shantanu Goenka. Naira thought of her as her elder sister. Vrushika bhabhi was really sweet by nature and naira felt an instant liking towards her.
“What should I do, bhabhi ?!!” Naira asked.
“Well its your first rasoi. What do you want to cook ?!!” Vrushika Bhabhi asked her.
“Ummm… How about kheer ?!!” Naira asked.
“Sounds amasing. Here are all the ingredients for the kheer.” Vrushika Bhabhi said and handed Naira everything that she would need for preparing the sweet dish.
A five year old boy came running and bumped into Naira as she was mixing the sugar in the milk.
“Aaryan !! Don’t run around the house like that. You might hurt yourself or worst case you will hurt someone else.” Vrushika Bhabhi said to her baby boy.
Aaryan ignored his mother’s warning and looked at Naira as if she was an alien.
“You are my chachi, right ?!!” He asked her cutely and Naira nodded in a yes and smiled at him.
“You were looking really pretty yesterday, chachi.” He said with a pout that made Naira smile genuinely. She immediately sat down on her knees and carressed his hair.
Aaryan kissed her on her cheeks and then waved a bye at her and his mumma and ran out the kitchen after taking his tiffin. Suwarna who had watched the whole exchange, smiled satisfactorily.
Soon, Naira was done with making the kheer, she served it and everyone appreciated it. Soon all of them dispersed from the dinning table to carry out their regular chores. Naira went to her room to get rid of the saree while Karthik went to his office.
He entered his office. Today was his last day at this office. He was doing internship at that place for the last two years. His internship program expired today and he could not be more thankful for it. It was the place which had totally ruined his life, his dreams and everything.
His steps stopped seeing “HER”, the source of his pain and destruction. Gayatri Deora. His first love and his first wife.
He didn’t want to concentrate on anything related to her but she came infront of him wantedly. His hand turned into fists listening to her laugh as she flirted with one of his colleagues. He immediately rushed into the cabin.
How both of them were in love with each other when they had started their internship in this office. Of how he hated her now when it was time to leave this office. He was just glad that he wont have to face her daily now.

So Gayu is back in this Chapter. Also the sweet and cute little Aaryan is also back. I hope you all remember him. I have also introduced Vrushika and Shantanu as Karthik’s bhaiya and bhabhi.
Well I am a Vrushan shipper. Incase you don’t know them, they played Swayam and Sharon in Dil Dosti Dance.
So some of the suspense has been revealed now. The rest will be revealed in the upcoming Chapters.
