Chapter 27
Because every coin has two sides !!
It has been two days since the fight between Naira and Karthik took place. Naira tried to talk to him but never got a chance to do so because he either came late at night or slept by the time she came in their room. His silence is disturbing her a lot.
“I accept that I was wrong but he should give me a chance to explain and apologise.” She murmured to herself, pouted at end and sat on the bed determined to talk to him today at any cost.
Naira sighed after looking at the clock which struck 1:00 am. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Her smile extended a little when she reached the door.
With lots of hope, she opened the door but frowned seeing Manish papa standing infront of her.
“Papa. Is everything alright ?!!” Naira asked worried as he came to their room at this time of night.
“Yes. I just want to talk to you.” He said.
His voice is deep and filled with guilt. Naira nodded and Manish entered the room. He sighed before sitting on the corner of the bed.
“I am sorry Naira.” He said. She frowned but his guilty voice started worrying her.
“Why ?!! I mean for what ?!!” Naira asked confused.
“I made a mistake of not accepting Keerti’s love and only I know how much I regretted it later.” Manish Papa started to say.
Naira opened her mouth to say something but he raised his hand stopping her.
“Let me speak today.” He said. Earning a nod from her, he continued.
“I didn’t accept Keerti after her eloping with Naksh because of my ego but sending her out of this house ate me from inside. I didn’t want to repeat the mistake so I readily accepted Karthik’s love for Gayatri.” He said and sighed deeply.
“But that girl, she crushed his heart. I have seen him completely broken which is the worst a father wishes to see. Then I have seen you. I felt like you would heal him. I know, I know that I used a promise as a medium for blackmailing your dad. But it was because I saw something in you, something special. I thought that you will bring my Karthik back.” He locked his eyes with shocked eyes of Naira.
So this was the reason her dad forced her to get married to Karthik. But she still wanted to know what was this promise that her dad didn’t listen to his daughter’s pleadings. Was it that important ?!!
“I made a wrong decision, Naira. I was so selfish for my son that I forgot I am troubling some innocent girl. But enough of this now. I wanted to …I mean, I want you both to apply for divorce.” Manish said.
Naira gasped and then inhaled deeply. They both sat in silence for nearly fifteen minutes. She knew this was the moment. She had to choose now.
But did she want to end this marraige ?!! She closed her eyes for a minute and got her answer the next second. No, she would not end this marraige.
“So, you want us to apply for divorce ?!!” She asked. He simply nodded with his head down. Naira smiled sadly.
“What will be the difference then ?!! Do you think that Karthik will be able to trust the bond of marriage if he gets divorced for second time ?!! Don’t worry papa. I will heal him but I really need some time to adjust in this marraige.” Naira said.
Manish looked at her proudly. His heart swelled with happiness because of her words. He knew, he knew that his choice will never go wrong. He gave her a warm smile before leaving the room.

Naira got up early the next morning and didn’t see Karthik beside her which was a usual scenario since their fight. But the decision she made last night was so unusual but she was confident that it will sort out everything.
She opened her wardrobe and picked a magenta pink cotton saree and went downstairs after getting ready.Almost everyone were present for breakfast except Karthik and Naksh.
“Maa !! Why don’t we celebrate godh bharai for Keerti. Its her seventh month now.” Vrushika bhabi said.
“Even I was thinking about it. I will talk to pandit ji and then we will decide.” Suvarna said.
Everyone were smiling brightly except Keerti whose worry and pain went unnoticed by everyone.
“Maa !! I am going out to meet my friend and will be back by lunch.” Naira said while leaving the house.
“Ohkay. Be safe. Come soon.” Suvarna said.
Naira walked out of the house with determination.
Naira exhaled her breath seeing a huge building infront of her which was once her husband’s office. Karthik had told her that he used to be an intern in this office. This is the same office where he and Gayatri worked together before he joined the Goenka Industries.
Many things are running in her mind but she has to do this at any cost. This is the only way she can get a closure. She entered the building and went to the reception desk.
“I just want to know details about one of my friend.” Naira asked the receptionist.
“Sorry mam but the details are confidential.” The lady behind the reception desk answered.
“Please, I am her childhood friend and I lost her address. I will be really grateful if you help me.” Naira lied.
Her pleading pleased the receptionist and she gave the details.

Yeah, I know the precap is not original but I am in the “Jab Harry met Sejal” Zone right now. Going to watch it this afternoon with friends. Can’t wait for it. I am just so excited and hyped !!
Ohkay, enough about me. So the next Chapter will have a Dhamakedar Meeting between Naira and Gayu. Stay tuned as kaira patch up will also happen in the upcoming Chapters !!
Also, the Goa trip that was supposed to happen is on hold right now. I have not thought about it. So will let you know if I will include it in the upcoming Chapters or its scrapped.
