The Episode starts with UV handing over a sum of money to Bairo, asking if it’s enough to end the matter once and for all. UV sternly warns him to leave and never return. Bairo happily agrees and walks away. Vandana, visibly distressed, pleads with Bairo to return the money, but UV steps in and tells her to let it go. He walks off, and Vandana breaks down emotionally. Seeing her state, Naina and Katha rush to comfort her. Katha, moved by UV’s gesture, points out how he never truly accepted her as his wife, yet still went out of his way to help. Vandana, however, is worried that UV’s financial aid will make Mohan feel ashamed and burdened.
Soon, Mohan calls Vandana and ends up speaking with Katha, who tells him that UV paid off the debt to Bairo. Mohan is visibly upset and abruptly hangs up. His reaction leaves everyone in the family anxious. Katha realizes that she must now do something to repay UV’s kindness.
Later, in a quiet moment, Katha goes into her room and breaks her piggy bank, collecting every last rupee. She walks up to UV and insists he take the money back, stating that she refuses to live under his obligation. She reminds him that he hasn’t accepted her as his wife, so she doesn’t owe him anything. Just as she turns to leave, UV stops her. There’s a heavy silence before he pins her against the wall and demands she repeat what she just said. Katha reaffirms that she will return every penny.
UV, visibly irritated, lashes out. He accuses her of being Eshwar’s pawn, bringing him into the argument and claiming she’ll probably ask Eshwar for help again. Katha defends herself, stating she’ll earn and repay him with her own hard work. She questions why he insists on helping her if he refuses to acknowledge their relationship. Her words sting, and UV finally opens up—explaining that she always misinterprets his actions, and her constant questioning is pushing him away. He tells her she’s forcing him to accept something he’s not ready to, and decides to walk away, leaving Katha shocked.
Katha begs UV not to go, warning that Mohan might feel insulted again. But UV, tired and heartbroken, asks her to define their relationship. She is left speechless. He reminds her of past incidents where she unintentionally hurt him, including when she assumed his mother was dead. At that moment, Mohan walks in and asks UV if he’s planning to leave. Katha signals to UV, who then lies to Mohan and stays back. Mohan thanks him for helping the family, but UV brushes it off, saying everyone faces ups and downs.
Later, UV overhears the family talking about fetching water. He learns from Mohan that they don’t even have a shower. Shocked, he watches Katha go out to fetch water. A kind neighbor lets her go first, and UV listens as she tells Kesar uncle that she plans to request the government to ease their water shortage. Touched by her concern for the community, UV watches her silently and even saves her when she nearly slips. Their eyes lock in a quiet, tender moment.
