The Episode starts with Katha reminding UV of the common belief that a married couple should share the same room. UV lashes out at her, accusing her of using this as an excuse because she couldn’t defeat him in college. Katha feels deeply hurt by his words. After freshening up, UV returns to find Katha setting up a bed for him. She calmly tells him that once everyone returns to their rooms, she’ll leave. UV ignores her words and lies down on the sofa to sleep. Meanwhile, Katha looks at her mother’s photo and says that her destiny is turning out to be just like hers.
Late at night, thinking that everyone else is asleep, Katha quietly leaves the room, hoping to find a peaceful spot. When she fails to locate the stairs to the terrace, she decides to sleep in the kitchen.
UV wakes up in the middle of the night and is startled to find Katha missing from the room. Angry and frustrated, he curses her presence in his life and calls her a dangerous virus. Initially happy at the thought that she might have left the house, he quickly brushes it off, thinking he’s not that lucky. When he eventually spots her in the kitchen, he confronts her and accuses her of creating drama and turning the family against him. He orders her to return to the room, but Katha stands her ground and refuses. She insists that she, too, has self-respect. In a shocking move, UV covers her mouth and forcefully drags her back to their room, leaving Katha stunned.
Inside the room, Katha warns UV that she will shout if he doesn’t let her go. UV begs her not to create a scene and requests her to stay. Katha still refuses. In a moment of frustration, UV offers to do anything she wants if she agrees to stay in the room. Seizing the opportunity, Katha demands that he perform all the post-wedding rituals with her. UV is speechless at first, but Katha challenges his courage. Eventually, he agrees. After he leaves, Katha prays to God, feeling guilty. UV returns and tells her that he’s just buying time before he removes her from his life completely. Katha feels hurt but reminds herself of her promise to Eshwar and decides to stay for Mohan and Eshwar’s sake.
The next morning, Katha wakes up early, determined to start her day right. She prepares to do the morning puja. In the temple, Chandrika taunts Rukmini about the missing daughter-in-laws. Rukmini stands up for them. Katha arrives and takes permission from Chandrika to perform the puja. Rukmini supports her. Afterward, UV’s cousins mock Katha. Katha then asks Charu to teach her the duties of a daughter-in-law. Chandrika takes it upon herself to do so and scolds Katha’s family. Katha decides to write everything down in her notebook, amusing some of the other family members.
Precap: Katha asks UV to accompany her for the pagphere ritual. UV challenges her to speak in English for two minutes. Tammy and others laugh, but Katha surprises them all with her fluent speech.
