The Episode starts with UV asking Sandy to convince Tammy, but Sandy refuses, saying he’s tired of trying. UV then personally speaks to Tammy, reminding her that he’s still single and has told Eshwar that Katha will leave the house by herself. Tammy, however, doesn’t believe that. She thinks UV is too naive to see that Katha isn’t going anywhere. Determined to make Katha leave, Tammy silently vows to take matters into her own hands.
Meanwhile, UV expresses to Sandy how disturbed he feels because of “Gobar Devi” (a name they use mockingly for Katha). Sandy suggests a long drive to clear his head. Tammy sarcastically asks UV if he can really leave the house, and UV confidently says he can, before going to pack. Outside, Katha overhears this conversation. Hurt and emotional, she questions her feelings for UV but quickly reminds herself of her responsibility—to honor the promises made to her uncle Mohan and to Eshwar. She doesn’t want to upset either her own family or the Jindals by skipping the post-wedding rituals. Just then, UV’s cousins walk past her and ignore her presence entirely.
Katha gathers courage and enters UV’s room, informing him that Mohan has arrived for the pagphere ritual. UV mocks her for expecting him to participate in it. He challenges Katha to speak in English for two minutes; if she succeeds, he will come with her. Katha stands there quietly while UV’s friends, Pari, and Ash laugh at her. Omi and Pratty are visibly uncomfortable. They question UV’s behavior, but UV brushes them off and insults Katha further.
Tammy adds her taunts too. To everyone’s surprise, Katha accepts the challenge and begins speaking fluently in English. She explains why she prefers speaking in her mother tongue and questions if any of them could do the same for two minutes. Her question silences the room. Omi and Pratty seem genuinely impressed. After completing the challenge, Katha tells UV to keep his word and walks away with grace. UV, dumbfounded, has no response when Pari and Ash question his silence.
Later, at the dining table, Ambika raises doubts about UV and Katha’s marriage. Mohan confronts Eshwar, seeking clarity. Katha defends UV, saying he’s caught up with work. She insists on going with UV for the ritual. Eshwar then asks Shlok to speak to UV, but Shlok suggests that Mohan should be told the truth. Eshwar ultimately gives Mohan hope and buys some time.
Surprisingly, UV arrives with packed bags and agrees to go with Mohan, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces and leaving Katha stunned. UV assures his family that Katha will not return after the ritual. When Katha starts packing, she struggles with her suitcase. UV enters the room, angered by something she’s written on the wall. As he calls out to her, Katha loses balance. He catches her just in time, and they share a brief, emotional eye-lock.
