The Episode starts with Mohan pleading with Katha to open the door, worried for her. Inside, Katha cries, feeling guilty that Mohan is facing humiliation because of her. Mohan promises her that he will speak to Eshwar to cancel the wedding and clear the debt. Katha finally opens the door and shocks everyone by announcing she will marry UV. Her family asks her why, but she sends them away, thinking she doesn’t want Mohan to suffer emotionally or financially. She feels marriage is her responsibility and has no hope left.
Katha sits at the mandap. UV arrives. Both stare at each other blankly while Eshwar and the family look relieved. The wedding rituals begin. They exchange garlands without any interest. Naina does their gadbandhan. When the priest asks for the bride’s father to do the kanyadan, Katha remembers her father leaving home. Mohan steps forward as her father. Katha calls him her father, and Mohan gets emotional while performing her kanyadan. Vandana and Mohan kiss Katha’s forehead with tears in their eyes.
The priest asks Katha and UV to take pheras and keep the vows. They complete the pheras, but both look lost and sad. Ambika too looks unhappy. Meanwhile, Prerna shows interest in Pratty, leaving him confused. Omi and Naina share a sweet moment.
UV ties the mangalsutra around Katha’s neck and fills her hairline with vermilion. The priest announces them husband and wife. Tammy enters in bridal attire and gets shocked seeing them married. She refuses to accept their marriage and leaves angrily. UV silently promises himself he will never accept this marriage, while Katha feels men can’t be trusted but vows to fulfil her responsibility for the elders.
Chandrika questions if Katha can keep UV with her till rituals end, but Rukmini stops her from saying inauspicious things. The priest asks them to take blessings. UV stands still until Katha signals him. He obeys, taking Kailash and Chandrika’s blessings. Kailash advises Katha to remain strong.
UV wants to leave for his café, but Eshwar orders him to stay with Katha until rituals finish. UV shouts that it’s impossible, shocking Katha. Eshwar tells Katha to keep UV from leaving until everything is done. Katha promises to fulfil this responsibility. UV glares at her angrily.
Precap: Katha gets hurt while doing the grahpravesh ritual. UV gets worried but taunts her when she says she is fine. Chandrika insults Katha, leaving her upset.
