TWO WEEKS LATER
Sonakshi started working with Elena in Mussoorie’s city hospital while Dev got his office renovated & was handling his business from his ‘Hill Office’. Everything was perfect … just perfect in their professional life & the shaadi ka ladoo was pure bliss. They had a regular relationship with the Devakshi magic. Nahi samjhe? Dev used to leave his wet towel on the bed & Sona to teach him a lesson always made it a point to pick that towel & put in on Dev’s head while he was getting ready for office. Sona didn’t even knew the C of cooking so either Dev used to cook or they used to go out for Dinner, Dev even made the bedtime coffee for both them every morning, because even though Sona tried hard she could not get up first. One day Sona took an off & tried to cook for Dev but that turned into a disaster. Dev did gobble down the food like a good husband but when Sona snatched the spoon to taste it she almost puked.
Dev: TBH Sonakshi … isse accha to humari chem. Ki lab ka oxalic acid taste karta tha
(All science students … I can bet you have tasted oxalic acid once in your life at least while doing titration)
Sonakshi had stayed out of her house, out of Delhi, all these years but she had always been in touch with Asha … She talked with Asha frequently now also but the guilt of not telling her mom the complete truth disturbed her always but Dev also tried his level best to keep her spirits high with his stupid PJs
Dev used to pick Sona up from the hospital after her work hours got over. There was not much to do for Sona, as an oncologist because cancer patients preferred to go down to the plains for their treatment. Sona was trying to negotiate with her seniors to install cheap & effective instruments to ensure proper treatment within the hospital for poor Garwalhi patients atleast. Elena on the other hand was a physician & had a lot of work.
Dev: What is this Sona? I have been waiting since half an hour

Sona gave a victorious giggle & turned her neck around to tell Dev a funny incident about Elena but Dev was not there. She turned around completely & saw Dev standing in the middle of the road, smirking.
Dev: Gaon walon, I mean Mussoorie walon … A husband cannot be happy

Dev: Kya bataon … Biwi ke nakhre itne hote hain … What had I asked for? Just one I love you but what does a PIRIT PATI get? Tons of attitude … Is it right?

Lady Bacchan was hesitant but she told DevAkshi her life story. When it was time for her to retire the behavior of her two sons changed drastically.
