Sona opened her eyes, she felt as if she was moving. The sun rays made it difficult for her to open her eyes but then she finally did it & turned around to find Dev next to her
Dev: Good Morning Sonakshi

Sona: Good Morning
Wait a minute! What was he doing next to her, infact she was in a car & Dev was driving it. She was still wearing her night suit & when she peeped out of the window she could make out that she was well out of Delhi maybe on some national highway
Sona: Dev… where are we going?
Dev: You don’t remember anything?

Sona tried hard & then she remembered
Sona: I was sitting in my room sipping coffee; I heard some footsteps then … then … Yes! Someone kidnapped me
Dev: Did you see the kidnapper?

Dev: I mean … I have kidnapped you

The next thing that happened was Sona started crying like a small baby girl

But Sona had gone out of control & all she could say was Mummy. Dev had to calm her down so he parked the car on the highway. He gave her a water bottle to drink water from it

Sona: I will work there in some hospital … That’s okay … But what will you do??
Dev: I’ll work from Mussoorie … Dad had an old office there … We are getting it renovated & I’ll work from there

Dev: Impossible?

Sona: No … Smart, intelligent & handsome

Sona: But this is not right
Dev: Dekho madam you have two options come with me to Mussoorie & we can avoid that engagement … We’ll look for some way to kick Ritvik out of your life or you may very well go back to Delhi & get married to that tape recorder

They sat in the car & were about to resume their journey when Sona noticed that she was still in her night suit

Sona: Wait! Have you packed my clothes?

Sona: Great So I’ll be wearing this night suit all the time in Mussoorie

After reassuring all the queries of Sona Dev drove to Mussoorie. It began drizzling, an ideal romantic environment for a long drive but Sona was still shocked after what had happened. Her mood improved after they reached the hills & Dev switched on the radio

It was a 6 hour long drive but finally they reached their destination Landour,Mussoorie. Dev stopped near Lal Tibba & called someone

Recognizing the girl Sona jumped out of the car & ran to hug her long lost friend, her soul sister Elena

Elena made an angry face & turned. Her back was facing Sona. Sona back hugged her &slowly started tickling her

Dev: Girls! If you are done with your Bharat Milap … Can I get some food?
Elena: Sure … There is a good restaurant downhill in the Mall road … I’ll take you there

The rest of the day went in eating & shopping along with some sightseeing, After ensuring that Sona had enough clothes in her closet & food in her stomach Elena decided to break the news which was bothering her since morning

Elena: Dev you had asked me to organize a place for you to stay … I have rented a flat on your behalf … It’s an amazing house uphill at Landour … The landlady is amazing … She is my ex-landlady but

Sona didn’t say anything. She sat there with her head held in her hands trying to absorb what was happening to her. She maintained silence but after about half an hour she just nodded. Dev squealed with excitement but Sona was not even smiling. She was clearly angry with the turn of events. Elena took them to a marriage registrar & they both signed the required documents in front of Elena & some of her friends who agreed to be the witness of the marriage. Sona was still not happy. She always wanted a big fat Indian wedding with the blessings of all her elders but she could also not say no to the proposal because she could compromise with the kind of wedding but not with her life partner. They reached the house where they had to stay, Elena guided them inside & called out the landlady. The entire day had been completely absurd for her, she got another shock when she saw who the landlady was
Standing before DevAkshi & Elena was a woman in her late sixties, wearing a white salwar-kameez & blue waistcoat. She had bob cut hair & was wearing spectacles. Age was clearly visible on her face but the air of discipline was still wrapped around her.

DevAkshi: Lady Bacchan!

LB: yes! If that is what you want to call me… Hello Elena

Elena: Hi Suman Aunty!

Sona: Good Morning Sharma ma’am

Dev: Yes good morning ma’am

LB: Wait I have a box with me … Apply vermillion on her partition of hair & till you are with me you have to regularly put this on

LB got them a box full of vermillion & Dev took a pinch of it in his hands & put it in Sona’s hair partition. Elena jumped & clapped while LB smiled. Sonakshi’s anger vanished in this moment as she felt her soul getting completed with this gesture
