The Episode starts with Aditi reassuring Rishi that Aniruddh has already spoken to his senior officer, so he need not worry. But Rishi calmly says he is not scared because he knows he is innocent. He asks Aditi and Abhimanyu to go home, but Abhimanyu refuses, saying he will stand by him no matter what. With quiet determination, Rishi declares that he will speak the truth and come out clean. He then walks into the police committee meeting with his head held high.
Inside, the committee begins questioning him about the Simulboni mission. Rishi explains that his mission was to capture Parashar. He narrates how he came across Nutan and Jhanak during his stay there. A member quickly jumps to the conclusion that Rishi chose Jhanak as a distraction. He sternly asks why Rishi was involved with Jhanak when his mission was something else entirely.
Rishi defends himself, saying his focus never shifted from the mission. He admits he discovered that Jhanak was someone close to Parashar, which is why he kept her near—to reach his target. He also shares how he met with a minor accident and was resting at the guest house when Jhanak brought him food. Because of the stormy weather, he stopped her from going back that night. However, the next day, villagers misunderstood the situation and forced them into marriage, despite the fact that neither of them wanted it. Rishi clearly states that even Jhanak herself said the marriage had no meaning. The committee then decides they also need statements from both Jhanak and Aditi to close the matter.
Outside, Aditi spots Jhanak and demands to know why she has come. Jhanak explains that she received a call from the police, which is why she is there. Abhimanyu lashes out, accusing her of being the reason Rishi’s job is at stake. Jhanak quietly replies that she too doesn’t want this mess. Soon, Rishi joins them and, assuming Jhanak is there to play the victim, bluntly asks what she’s planning. Jhanak firmly tells him that she came to give her statement, nothing more.
Inside the room, Jhanak surprises everyone by supporting Rishi. She tells the committee there is no need to replay his words because she knows he would have spoken the truth. When asked whether she accepts this forced marriage, she honestly says no. She reveals Rishi had already told her about his fiancée, Aditi. Jhanak adds that she wants to focus on her studies and career, and that a simple village boy would suit her more than a city man. She makes it clear that Rishi did nothing wrong with her.
Later, Aditi publicly declares that she will remain Rishi’s wife no matter what and expresses sorrow that he is suffering because of false charges. The committee dismisses them, but later praises Jhanak’s maturity and honesty, which ultimately saves Rishi’s career. Relieved, Rishi thanks them and leaves. His family rejoices, believing the matter is closed. Surjeet even claims that Jhanak has gone back to the village, ending her chapter. Aditi, however, insists Rishi’s job was saved only because of Aniruddh, not Jhanak.
But fate has other plans. Jhanak, stuck in traffic, hurries to catch her bus. In a twist of events, she narrowly avoids a bike but ends up being hit by Rishi’s car. Shocked, Rishi rushes to her side, horrified to see her bleeding and unconscious. Overcome with guilt, he lifts her into his car, vowing that she cannot die. He admits to himself that though she saved him today, she is now suffering because of him.
