The Episode starts with Sanjhbati gently confronting Rishi, asking whether he still loves Aditi. Rishi admits that he does, yet he also confesses that his feelings for Jhanak are equally genuine. Sanjhbati reminds him that Aditi is his wife, and she cannot tolerate another woman in his life. She advises him to end things with Jhanak if he truly wants peace. But Rishi, caught in an emotional storm, admits he cannot bear to see Jhanak sad either.
Meanwhile at home, Aditi questions Mishti about the college incident. Mishti reveals that Rishi came with Sanjhbati and defended Jhanak in front of everyone. Putul scolds Mishti for twisting facts, but Neelu and Tanushri insist Mishti is right. When Mishti plays the recording of the meeting, Aditi becomes devastated, feeling betrayed upon hearing Rishi call
Putul tries to explain that Jhanak was trapped and needed support, but Aditi lashes out at her, accusing her of being unable to handle her own marriage and interfering in others’ lives. Mishti adds fuel to the fire, claiming she cannot step inside the college anymore because Rishi defended Jhanak publicly.
Rishi finally arrives home and immediately scolds Mishti for her actions. Tanushri demands to know why he defended Jhanak over his own sister. Aditi confronts him directly, asking why he lied about never accepting his marriage with Jhanak. Rishi tries to explain that he only attended the meeting because he is Jhanak’s guardian and feels responsible for what happened to her. But Aditi refuses to listen, accusing him of prioritizing Jhanak over her.
Tanushri questions why he took Sanjhbati along. Rishi clarifies that Sanjhbati went as a witness and insists Mishti should be ashamed for locking Jhanak and Ayush in a room. Neelu reminds him he is ignoring Aditi’s pain. Aditi then gives him an ultimatum — within 24 hours, he must decide whether he will cut all ties with Jhanak. Rishi calmly says his decision is clear: he will always help Jhanak if she’s in trouble.
At the hostel, Jhanak’s roommate questions her about her past, but Jhanak avoids the painful topic and falls asleep. Mishti then calls the roommate and manipulates her into giving Rishi a missed call from Jhanak’s phone.
When Aditi sees the late-night call, she erupts in anger. Rishi insists he never called Jhanak. The next morning, Aditi forces him to call back. When Jhanak answers, she denies making the call, but Aditi snatches the phone and harshly accuses her of trying to come between them and “inheriting Nutan’s habits,” leaving Jhanak hurt and speechless.
