The episode opens with Parasar telling the villagers he’s the father of Nutan’s baby and the child will stay in the village. One villager defends him, saying Nutan is Parasar’s wife, so no one can be punished. The sarpanch agrees. Bua refuses to accept Nutan and the baby, but Parasar announces he’s found a new home where he’ll live with them. Kanka mocks him, but Parasar shuts her down, and the sarpanch tells her to leave.
Nutan questions Parasar’s actions. He says he didn’t claim she’s his wife, just gave the baby his name for the child’s sake. He doesn’t intend to marry her. His friends tease him about becoming a father, and Parasar invites everyone to a party at his place. He hands the baby to Kanka, saying the child needs her love too.
Elsewhere, Jhimli tells Appu they can’t live without her. Appu knows and says that’s why she avoids Anjana. She tells them not to cry if she dies and asks Kajol to shower Lalon with love. Kajol says she’ll leave and not come back. Appu confesses she doesn’t want to die because her parents will be heartbroken. Anjana offers to cook, and they all hug Appu.
Lalon later visits the Bose house, looking tense. Mrinalini and Anirudh ask about Appu’s reports. Lalon breaks the news that Appu has cancer and doesn’t have much time left. Anirudh is shaken, and Lalon pleads for a way to save her.
Back in the village, Parasar enters the house and says he came to apologize. Nutan says his apology means nothing now. She questions the party and why he handed the baby to Kanka. Parasar explains they need Kanka’s support. Nutan insists they shouldn’t talk alone behind closed doors and tells him she’s starting work the next day. He encourages her to blend in with the villagers.
Nutan says the baby won’t stay there forever. Parasar agrees and says he helped her out of decency, not obligation. She’s upset that he keeps reminding her. When he asks about dinner, she says she’ll eat tomorrow. Parasar warns her not to test his patience or question his respect. He says he’s not staying in her room because he has no right to, and asks her not to disrespect him.
At Lalon’s house, Appu’s parents and Anirudh visit. Anjana hugs Appu and breaks down. Appu tells her not to cry. Kajol tries to comfort Anjana. Lalon is heartbroken and questions why God is doing this. Anirudh decides to take Appu to Mumbai for treatment. Lalon offers to help with money, but Anirudh says he’ll manage everything because he’s Appu’s brother. He reassures Appu that she’ll recover.
Later, Kanka brings the baby to Nutan. She asks Parasar what he sees in Nutan. He says he’ll tell her later and asks Kanka to arrange dinner. She refuses at first but agrees after some persuasion. Parasar heads to a meeting, asking Kanka to look after Nutan. Nutan wonders why her path is always full of obstacles.
