The episode begins with Jhanak slapping Ayush for dragging Rishi’s name into their argument. She warns him firmly to never speak about Rishi again. Ayush, feeling humiliated, reminds her that he supported her from the beginning, yet she hit him. Regretting the slap, Jhanak apologizes but insists he has no right to comment on Rishi when he doesn’t even know the full matter. She is already weighed down by fear and uncertainty, and she tells him to forget her entirely.
Ayush refuses, confessing again that he loves her and cannot stay away. Jhanak shuts him down, telling him not to speak like that because she has already accepted Rishi as her husband, and no one else will ever get that place in her life. Ayush warns her she is destroying her future by loving someone who will never love her back. She breaks down, saying she doesn’t want to discuss it anymore and that he is only a friend. Ayush promises not to bring up his feelings again and vows to remain her friend forever.
Elsewhere, Aditi vents her insecurity to Tanushri and Neelu. She feels Rishi’s anger at the college was driven by his emotions for Jhanak. Putul counters that nothing is proven and Aditi is overreacting, but Aditi insists that Jhanak matters to Rishi more than she ever admitted. The discussion turns heated as Neelu compares Aditi’s situation to Putul’s, which irritates Putul further. Aditi claims she will confront Rishi once he comes home.
When Rishi returns, Aditi immediately questions him. He says he met Sanjhbati and has begun the process of withdrawing his name as Jhanak’s guardian. Aditi accuses him of behaving like he has rights over Jhanak. Rishi snaps back, asking why she keeps interfering. When she questions him about Sanjhbati, Rishi grows irritated and refuses to explain further. Their argument escalates when Aditi calls Jhanak cheap and money-minded. Rishi shuts her down, saying it’s shameful for a woman to speak about another woman in such a way. He even warns her that if Jhanak demands a DNA test, she may expose the truth about Aniruddh, which makes Aditi furious. She blurts out that she feels like killing Jhanak. Shocked, Rishi warns her never to say such things again.
Tanushri tries to pacify them, but Rishi and Aditi continue bickering bitterly, each accusing the other of not understanding.
The next morning, the committee hearing begins at the college. Ayush’s father pleads for another chance for his son. A committee member then asks if Rishi, as Jhanak’s guardian, wants to speak. Instead of defending her directly, Rishi calls Sanjhbati. She asks the administration a crucial question—whether the CCTV footage proves Jhanak left alone and returned alone the previous night.
