Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10: Nia Sharma breaks down as she opens up about the sacrifices of her mother, “She has no friends and struggled all through to bring up my brother and me”

The recent episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 witnessed Nia Sharma opening up about the sacrifices that her mother did for her and her brother. When host Maniesh Paul asked her about her mother’s support in her life, Nia shared, “For the first time, my mother faced the camera on TV. It’s been 11 years in the industry, she said all these on camera I can’t believe it. I have seen parents talking about their kids in reality shows. I would think, that when I am in a reality show, my mom won’t be able to say anything. I just can’t believe that she said it all. She is a single mother. She has pulled us through difficult times and made us what we are today.”

Nia broke down while talking about her struggle days. She said, “When my father passed away, I was 14-year-old. There were many years of struggle. There was a lot of frustration. My brother took up a job early and young so that he can support us. So when I learn what people talk about me, it doesn’t affect me at all because I know what sacrifices my mother has made for us. She doesn’t have a friend. She doesn’t have anybody. My mom left all our relatives in Delhi and focused on my brother and me. She has just told me, ‘As long as you are correct, do whatever you want. Wear whatever you want, danke ki chot pe pehno’.”

For the unversed, just before her performance, a video was shown where Nia’s mother spoke about her bond with her daughter. She said, “We share a friendly bond. Nia has been bold since childhood. She would participate in all activities in school. She would compete in challenges and complete them. She has never learned to give up. She is different in her own way. People troll her for her dressing. But I am proud of her. Nia comes back home after 11-12 hours of rehearsal with bruises all over. She is so tired. I feel her pain. I pamper her. You bring the Jhalak trophy.”
