ReCap: Ragini leaves Maheshwari House….Laksh expresses his love for Ragini to Sanskaar….Laksh and Sanskaar leave to Orphanage
“Teacher Maa …. What is all this???….” Rucha almost screamed…with tears dripping out her eyes…… “Why is Sanskaar speaking like this ki we didn’t inform them about Ragoo’s Past……We told everything to Sujatha Aunty Na”
Annapurna stood there…. confused…angered and broken…. Amrita was almost in tears of denial as she was able to take in this.
“Teacher Maa…….Tell Me…..” Rucha pleaded…. “We told Sujatha Aunty everything Na….”
” HAAN” Annapurna broke her silence in a burst….. “I told her everything…..Every bitter part of my Ragoo’s life……And she told that she informed about this to Laksh and others….”She sighed deeply.
“Then what is going on Teacher Maa….??Why is this happening to our Ragoo….?? Why does she have to go through such trials without doing any mistakes? ?? Rucha asked breaking into a miserable cry…..
“I don’t Know Beta…..I don’t know. ….
I married my Ragoo to My Laksh only because I thought that he accepted him with her past…..But he never knew about it….”
“Teacher Maa…..”Amrita called out in a low voice…. “Our Ragoo is really hurt…..Very hurt beyond our imagination. …” She said wiping her tears. “She is suffering Teacher Maa…..and all these days we never knew about this….She may be thinking that No one is with her….That no one believes in her…..”
“Thank God ….That Laksh is still holding on to her….Otherwise ….she will have been broken” Rucha said in a minute relief… “Teacher Maa ….Why are you not allowing Laksh to see her ….If they meet…Ragoo will be fine…” Rucha gave a pleading look.
“No beta…..They can’t meet now….I know that she is in pain…..But we can’t make them meet until Sujatha is back…..Because she is the only one who can clear this confusion….who can prove my innocence. …Maybe Laksh doesn’t care about her past….But I need to make her name clear…..In front of Sanskaar…..who wants an answer why her past was hidden….and in front of other Maheswaris, who think that my Ragoo is Characterless”
“Teacher Maa is right Rucha…”Amrita supported Annapurna. “We need Sujatha Aunty to be back…..”Moreover we need to clear yourself in front of Ragoo….She will be in this impression that Teacher Maa didn’t tell Sujatha Aunty about her past……”
Rucha understood her Teacher Maa’s and Amrita’s words and decided to wait for Sujatha’s return.

Laksh and Sanskaar has been staying in their guest house for 2 days. They were well hidden from Ragini, who sat in her room for most of the time ….Rucha and Amrita were busy making moves to bring back Ragini from a depressed state , to make her eat something….she has been their for 4 days….But didn’t tell them about her problems…..This was the first time that their Ragini refused to discuss her sorrows…..And this bothered them hard…..
Laksh marched into Teacher Maa’s Room..
“Lucky…..stop Yaar….” Sanky followed him to her room. Rucha and Amrita decided to follow them
Laksh went in face to face to Badi Maa…
“Badi Maa ….” he panted uncomfortably. ..”I have been here for 2 days ….And you haven’t allowed me to meet Ragoo till now…..” His eyes red with pain
“Laksh…” Badi Maa sighed , closing her files. “Beta ….I am not stopping you from meeting her…..About what all happened….few days before….I need to discuss this with your parents….otherwise there would be more misunderstandings among you people…”She said
“Badi Maa…..There is no misunderstanding. ….and if there is ….then I don’t care…..I just want her to be with me….THAT’S IT……”He banged his hand on her Annapurna’s table….This jerked Sanky , Amrita and Rucha….But Rucha was secretly happy that Laksh stood strong beside Ragini….
“Laksh….Beta…” Annapurna said calmly….”Definitely ….You will meet her as soon as your mother reach her” She tapped his shoulder….”I am happy that you don’t have any issues with her and I am proud of you that you are standing with her …even in this worst situation. ….But I need to clear my daughter’s name…..in front of your family …..and especially in front of Sanskaar…..” Sanskaar looked at Badi Maa with a mixture of pain and guilt….”Sanskaar….”She walked towards Sanky…..”Beta …..You are right at your position. …..You always cared and loved her …..like Uttara…..You guys shared all your tiny secrets. …and when you came to know that she hid a big truth from you….It is obvious that you feel cheated” Tears rolled from his eyes….He bowed down his head. ….”But Beta …..I can assure you that your sister never hid any truth from you” Sanskaar looked at Badi Maa with utmost curiosity
Annapurna left them incomplete ….She picked up her file and walked out of her door….
“Badi Maa……..”Laksh called out…”Please Badi Maa….” …Annapurna unknowingly swing the door behind her ….Which hit Laksh who was following her….Laksh fell on the floor…wincing in pain…
“Laksh……”Annapurna screamed and ran near him….he was gathered by Sanky, Rucha and Amrita….His head hosted a fairly big cut oozing out blood from it…..Sanky went numb as usual. …instinctively Rucha took the lead….She pressed her had on the cut to stop bleeding.
“Amu…..Please bring my medical kit” Rucha said Amrita ….
As soon as Amrita reached with the medical kit, Rucha treated his wound and did the dressing. …..
Annapurna and Sanky made Laksh sit on the sofa….Amrita brought a glass of juice for Laksh ..Annapurna made him drink …….She sat on her knees and soothed his cheeks with her hand
” Is it paining Beta? ??” she asked softly…..Laksh’s eyes were moist…..He slowly started weeping….Which turned into a miserable cry…..
“It is really paining Badi Maa” he said in between his tears….Rucha could clearly get that it was not his head paining. ….But somewhere else…..
Annapurna buried his head in her chest… “I know Beta that it is hurting …..And I know that if things get worse you will take her far from here….But Beta…..For a girl like Ragoo….who lived without a family. …..All these Matters….The love and comments of the family matters…..If not to the whole of Maheswaris. …I need to clear in front of you four……For that I need Sujatha to come back……. She and Ram ji will reach back here today….They have reached Kolkata….I called them her…..So Please Understand. …”Annapurna begged….Laksh nodded on her chest a and kept on crying….

It was almost 5 in the evening….Every one was seated in Annapurna’s office….Silently drinking tea….The only sound was Laksh sniffing. ….Sanskaar’s face had a predominant expression of guilt…..
“Jiji….” The silent atmosphere was broken an enthusiastic call….and a smiling face along with Ram
“ Maa…” Laksh called and ran to hug her. Sujatha was shocked to see Laksh’s face and his wound. She broke the hug to look at her son’s face. His face was weak ,eyes red and on top of it he had a wound on his forehead. She automatically cupped his face ,while her eyes brimmed. Meanwhile Sanky ran to his dad
“Laksh….”Sujatha called him frantically…”What is all this?”
“Nothing Maa…I hit my head “Laksh said it rather casually ,in a weak voice. Sujatha traced her fingers on Laksh’s dressings. Ram came to them and hugged Laksh emotionally and Sujatha ent to Sanky’s arms. His face also sent negative vibes
“What is going on Jiji?? Why re the kids like this??? Where is my Ragoo?…” Sujatha’s eyes madly searched for Ragini.
“Rucha…..Go call Ragooo…….”Annapurna instructed Rucha….”Tell her that her family has come to meet her.
“What happened Jiji?? Rucha could map the impatience in Sujatha’s voice…She rushed to Ragoo’s room and tapped the door….”Ragooo…..”Ragini…..Jaldi Aao….Your family has come to meet you…Laksh…Sanskaar Sujatha Aunty and your Papa….badi Maa called you to her office…” Rucha said loudly and enthusiastically
“Ruch….Rucha….. two minutes ….. I will come here…” Rucha cold feel a new hope in Ragini’s voice…..and a kind of worry…..
“ Ok Dear….. Rush…”…. Rucha rushed back to the office and saw hopeful faces….waiting for their life
“ She is coming” Rucha managed through her deep breaths…. Within no time Ragini came and stood hiding her outside, behind the doors of the office….It was a horror to see her….. She has grown pale as ghost in 4 days…her eyes caught dark rich dark patches… lips lost colour…hair adjusted ,yet mess…. Rucha could hear gasps of her family. As soon as Ragini saw a Laksh…her eyes welled up…She began to rush to him…Same was his case
“ Stop right there Ragini…”Annapurna screamed, confusing he on lookers….
“ Badi Maa….Laksh….He is hurt..” Ragini almost squeaked in her low voice…. Her eyes went wet
“ I said ….STOP… Ragini…” Annapurna stressed. Ragini and Laksh controlled their steps, stood there looking into each other’s eyes, painfully….
“ Jiji……What are you doing” Sujatha raised her voice….” Why ae you doing this to kids??what is gong on?? “ Sujata asked , while beginning to walk towards Ragini.. Annapurna caught her by her elbow, again…confusing everyone… Sujatha winced in pain… Annapurna pulled Sujatha far from Ragini…..
“ Annapurna…” Ram called him in a tensed , angry voice…” What are yo u doing???”
“ Ramji, I will tell you a story….” Annapurna began, fairly ignoring his question….” Tis story is about your Bahu … Ragini…..”..Ram raised his eyebrow, questioningly…. Annapurna dint take any reactions into account…. Sanskaar curiously listened to Annapurna…Sujatha’s expression were turning into an uncertainty….. and Laksh ,even though he was hearing Badi maa’s word , never broke his eye contact eith Ragini.
“ This girl…. She was not like this before……She was not understanding or mature…..She was just crazy…. Mad and arrogant…. Lived her life on her terms…she was never understanding…..or never well mannered…” Annapurna said… “ But I loved her very much….. In fact I loved Ragini, Rucha and Amrita more than other kids because they were the first ones given to me ,when I entered this orphanage as an ordinary teacher….” Rucha and Amrita slightly smiled at her words
“Ragini always lived on her terms…..During her college days…She felt deeply and madly in love with a guy named Karthik…” Ram’s expression stiffened a bit, worried for his son…. “And it seems that he also loved her….They wanted to get married, so she came to introduce him to me….As a mother , I felt that he was not a clear guy…. Even her sisters felt the same…So I conveniently rejected him…..Which dint go well with Ragini. She, being madly in love with him, fought with us….She felt that we were jealous of her getting a new family and left the orphanage…to start up her own family” Annapurna left out a sigh to forget those nightmare moments… “ We rejected Karthik because his identity was a bit unclear, But little did we know the real him…. As soon as Ragini left the orphanage, We came to know from our sources that he was an agent…An agent of a woman trafficking gang, who trap girls, get married to them and push them into the business of prostitution… We were worried…. Tried contacting her .. But in vain…. The next day she came here , with her newly married ‘HUSBAND’ “ Ram was shocked to hear this
“We warned her , screamed at her… But his fake love blinded our concerns as jealousy. He branded us as lairs…and left ….I had to see my daughter walking into hell in front of my eyes…. But I was not ready to give up…. I used my connections in Police and tipped about him…. And asked protection for my daughter…..After a long enquiry they found that Karthik has left my Ragini in a big brothel…I wanted to sae her, without any hush, fearing for her future. The police launched a secret mission….And it was almost a success , until another undercover police mission glided in and arrested Ragini along with other s*x workers, assuming her to be one…. We were able to release her easily ….But the news of Initial report were published in media, which we couldn’t stop, defaming my innocent girl…” Sanskaar had tears in his eyes…But his question was still dangling….Why did Ragini hide this from them?”
“Ragini was shattered….Her true love…her marriage and her name were ruined….She was a lifeless body for many days…. I had to get her psychiatric help…..They told me that , she was shattered from inside….She had to see her love hanged, her marriage, nothing but an instrument and most of all. Her fear in the brothel, of being harmed anytime….made her crumbled……I understood how broken she was, when she cut her hand….”Ram and Sanskaar gasped…. Laksh’s face showed a new layer of horror.
“ It long time for us to make her alright…. We kept her under shaded wraps….under our protection and Your Ragini now, is the result of this transformation” Annapurna’s narration came to an end…
“ Annapurna…..” Ram called… “ Tell me two things….Why are you telling us this now??? Why did She hide this from us??” His voice echoed a tinge of pain, anger and concern
“ For your first Question Ramji……That guy Karthik came to Maheshwari house last week” And she asked Sanskaar to narrate events….Sujata and Ram was shocked to hear about the events…..And about the second Question , when I brought Laksh’s rishta for her…..She was worried, as she feared marriages ….But when I convinced her, The only thing she was particular about was that Laksh should be informed about this…..So I told Laksh’ mother about her past…..and asked her to tall it to her son…” All the pir of eyes turned to terrified yet calm Sujatha… In fact I informed her about this even before she brought this proposal…. It was after knowing everything about my Ragini she brought the proposal.” Sanskaar, Laksh, Ram and Ragini were showing different traces of shock their faces.
“ When I asked her that whether she told her son , She told that he was fine with it , Sujatha told me that , Her son had no problem….Ragini just need to forget her past and move forward, Sujatha warned me that Ragini should not utter anything about her past in front of Laksh, He might be upset…..And li trusted my sister so much hat I dint cross check with Laksh….
It was silent all over. All the eyes present in that room had thousand questions directed at Sujatha. Annapurna went near Sujatha…
“ Toh bolo Sujatha…. Did my Ragini hide her past from you?? Annapurna asked in a stern voice. Sujatha stood there , quite with moist in her eyes.” I am asking something Sujatha…. Answer me….?” Annapurna stressed
“ No…. She did not” Sujatha said bowing down her head
“Did you hear that Sanskaar?” Annapurna gave a piercing look at Sanskaar…. The question and her glare pierced into Sanskaar’s face…. Guilt was dominant on his face….
“ you told me that you informed Laksh about Ragini…. But did you really inform him?” Annapurna narrowed her eyes
“ No” Sujatha’s answered… “ I dint………” Before sujatha could complete her word, a tight slap passed across her face…
“Badi Maa” Ragini gasped in horror….. Others went numb …..
“ HOW DARE YOU SUJATHA??? How could you lie to me” Annapurna screamed at Sujatha….” How could you hide this from Laksh??? Do have any idea what was your children going through??? ANSWER ME SUJATHA….. Why DID YOU DO THIS??” Annapurna raised her voice….”
“ BECAUSE I am Selfish JIJI….. I desperately wanted to get her as my Bahu……” Sujatha screamed back screaming at Annapurna….” If I have told the truth to Lucky , then he would have rejected this proposal, because he still loved that Kavya” Tears rolled down her eyes. Sanskaar looked in disbelief at Sujatha
“WERE YOU MAD SUJATHA??? “ Annapurna screamed at Sujatha . “ Even if that was the reason, why dint you tell them when they started there life together??”
“ I dint want to bring in past in their new life…..Jiji I wanted a good girl like Ragini in my Lucky’s life…..And her past was her Past…. And nothing more than that…. For me , I felt that her present with Lucky more important that her past…. So I just dint tell anyone… because I feared it might ruin their happiness” Sujatha showed no regret in her decision
“ Wow Sujatha”… Annapurna clapped “ Do have ant idea , what your children had to go through ….. Ragini …. Look at her….She was closed inside her room for 4 days…without eating or drinking….and Laksh… he was here for last 2 days with Sanskaar , behind me to meet Ragini…. Even after what happened , He believed in my Ragoo…and came for her, without even wanting to know about her past…. But just wanted to bring her back….. And Sanskaar….He had to go through the phase, where he thought that Ragoo cheated you people……
“ Ragini…” Laksh screamed cutting Annapurna’s words… Rucha turned to see Ragini lying unconscious on the floor…. She rushed to Ragini along with others and Laksh…. Laksh picked her up into his lap and started tapping her cheeks….
“ Ragini…” Annapurna called.
Rucha was alerted by Laksh Gasp… She traced Laksh’s eyes and it stopped at Ragini’s wrist, which was bleeding…. It was then they noticed the were surrounded by a pool of blood…Rucha understood that her Ragini cut her wrist….AGAIN
“ RAGINI…….. What did you just Do?” Laksh screamed between his cry
