ragini was standing in a dark room when a person appeared in front of her.”Kavita you here”ragini moved to hug her but Kavita stopped her with her eyes brimming in tears.”you are trying to snatch my love ragini…I gave you such a place in my heart…I treated you like my sister but you are after my love only… you betrayed me ragini…why? sanskar is mine , you don’t even come near him” Kavita every word showed how hurt and broken she was.
ragini got up in midnight sweating badly.”it was just a dream?”ragini thought drinking water and moved out to take a stroll.rachna who came to kitchen saw her sitting in balcony.”what happened… you look tense”rachna kept hand on her shoulder worry reflecting in her eyes too.”nothing”ragini tried covering up but a glare from rachna made her to spill out the beans.”what sujatha aunty said that?”rachna kept hand on her mouth gasping.”but ragini it was just a dream and Kavita would never think like this… instead she would be happy to see you both together… your dream was a manifestation of your own assumptions and insecurities.. you think that you are snatching her love but it’s nothing like that… everyone has a right to move on in life so does sanskar and you… you won’t take her place or her right … you will make your own place in sanskar’s life just like you have made in kanav’s life…I think you should say yes for the proposal”rachna held ragini’s cheek caressing it speaking in the hope that she agrees, rachna has seen ragini struggling to make her place in the cruel male oriented world, sacrificing everything to give others…. and now she wanted to see someone taking care of ragini, she saw the best choice in sanskar for her.ragini nodded still not convinced so rachna held her hand making her look in her eyes saying”ragini forget what effect it will have on others… for once think for yourself….start living for yourself….I think sanskar will keep you happy….he loves you a lot”, ragini looked at her blankly hearing this.”we all can see love in his eyes and somewhere you also love him if you you don’t agree to”rachna smiled and went from there patting her head.
“but how could I just say yes…I mean does he even wants me as his wife? what will he think? will Kavita be happy with this? how could these people see love in our eyes… first swara and now rachna”ragini facepalmed still confused.she couldn’t sleep whole night thinking about it.
“what?maa how could you do this… what will ragini think… maybe she gets hurt by this…. you didn’t pressurized her right… she would be freaking out now… how will I meet her eyes? she will behave all awkward around me now… how will I talk to her?”sanskar whined like a kid biting his nails.sujatha smiled saying”I think it’s a yes from your side… the way you are worrying about her reaction ,only people in love do this”. sanskar glared her but sujatha smirked going from there.
ragini was coming from one side while sanskar from other side,they looked at each other blankly and turned around abruptly, sanskar dashed with Karthik who was carrying his dumbles which fell on sanskar’s leg making him wince in pain.ragini rushed to him and made him sit.she rushed to get ice and put it on his feet who resisted her to touch his feet but was silenced by her tearful dangerous glare.”you can’t be careful”ragini chimed him while sanskar could feel the concern behind her anger.ragini did his dressing and went from there without speaking a word further.sanskar looked at her sorrowfully while ragini hid her tears ignoring her heart’s voice.
“yes maasi I am happy after all my mumma and papa are together now.i felt really bad whenever it was PTM in school and papa wasn’t with us… mumma also got sad seeing me sad….I always missed him but now I could stay with both of them like a happy family….I want now to stay with both of them forever”kanav smiled innocently while rachna hugged him.ragsan heard kanav and took the decision to marry for kanav,they didn’t knew still what the other felt so they thought the other won’t agree so we should ourself deny the marriage but kanav was the bridge between them.
“aunty I am ready for marriage”ragini said softly while sanskar looked on shockingly though his heart fluttered with joy.”I am also ready”sanskar exclaimed when sujatha looked at him expectantly.sujatha hugged both of them happily.rachna came and hugged ragini followed by others.”no I am not ready for this marriage”kanav spoke in a cold voice keeping hands on his waist, everyone looked on shocked.”what happened beta?”sujatha asked nearing him.”I want to first know if pap…I mean Mr sanskar maheshwari is right for my mumma”kanav cleared his throat impersonating elderly voice.everyone smiled while sujatha knelt down asking”why only papa not mumma’s test?”to which kanav folded his hands in front of his chest saying proudly “the groom family sent the proposal but we bride’s family have to be careful”. rachna pulled his cheeks chuckling while kavya said”our kanav has grown up so fast”. sanskar and ragini looked at each other smiling feebly.
“kanav why have you spilled oil on the floor”kavya asked scratching her head.kanav looked forward saying”I got this idea from your saas bahu serial, mumma will come and she will disbalance and we have to see if papa saves him…. don’t worry Kabir mamu is here if papa isn’t able to safe her”. everyone appreciated his thought while sujatha came out of nowhere about to slip but sanskar held her on time.kanav hit his head seeing the plan getting flopped.ragini who came hearing sujatha’s scream also lost her balance but sanskar held her hand with his other hand.sanskar had grabbed both of them taking them towards the sofa keeping his hold on both of them so they don’t slip again.kanav smiled showing a thumbs up to rachna.
“you have to answer some of my questions”kanav strictly told sanskar who looked at him innocently nodding.”mumma favorite color?””black and white””favorite food?””puchka(gol gappe)””mumma is allergic to””brinjal, marigold”and with this sanskar answered almost all questions correctly impressing kanav.”now what’s the plan?”Karthik asked impatient seeing ragini struggling with a shoe.”wait and watch”kanav said smirking,he knew ragini had back pain due to less sleep so she will have problem wearing shoes but he insisted her to wear his gifted shoes only.sanskar who was passing by saw ragini struggling,he kneeled down in front of her while ragini gave him a glance and got back to tying the shoe string.she huffed not able to bend for much time so sanskar took the stings tying them and he made her wear the other shoe with utmost care, ragini wiped the tear at the corner of her eyes while kanav came running to sanskar and hugged him tightly.sanskar looked at ragini happily and reciprocated kanav’s hug.”you passed the test you are the best match for mumma, you will never leave her in a problem and always respect her”kanav exclaimed happily while sanskar kissed his cheek and kanav pulled ragini in their hug.kanav got ragsan’s forehead closer and merged his with theirs.all three smiled truly while Kabir captured their family moment.
“I am lucky to see my parents wedding again…waise where was I when their first wedding happened?”kanav asked kavya who frowned hearing him.kanav chuckled saying”ohho maasi I wasn’t born at that time… you forgot”.kavya sighed while ragsan looked at each other worriedly hearing him.
“kanav let me do your champi baby or your hair won’t be strong… you want black strong hair like mumma naa”ragini ran after kanav with hot oil in her hand.sanskar looked on amused while kanav glared him for smiling at his situation.”mumma I will get oil if papa get champi done by you then I will get head massage from papa”kanav winked at sanskar who looked on horrified while ragini gave him a expectant smile.ragini was massaging sanskar’s hair who was massaging kanav’s hair, father son duo had the same expression twisting their lips in irritation.”mumma now your turn”kanav looked at sanskar who winked at him.”no”ragini said startled but both boys had attacked her shiny black hair with the oil.ragini huffed while sankanav smiled massaging her hair softly.ragini was so relaxed by the massage while sanskar smiled living his family moments, the happiness he thought he won’t have in life he was getting them.kanav was happy to see his mumma and papa together which was his dream.
“we should return to Kolkata for the wedding,I have talked to the family they’re very happy with this alliance”sujatha squeaked in happiness while ragsan looked on digesting the fact that all this is happening so fast.”kanav I want to ask you something… will you stay with us…. in Kolkata?”sanskar asked kanav who sat in ragini’s lap.”yes I will stay in Kolkata but only after my school session ends here or it will affect my studies but mumma what about your wedding planning?”kanav said happily but got worried for his mumma who grinned at his concern saying”my baby don’t worry about it I will set it up there also..I just want your happiness”.”and I want yours”kanav pulled her cheeks making her pout while sanskar tickled due to which kanav got into a fit of laughter who ran around the house escaping from him.ragini smiled seeing them giggling and enjoying.sujatha came admiring sankanav saying”sanskar loves you both so much” putting ragini into deep thoughts.
