Jasmin Bhasin reacts to the reports about her letting go of Vikram Bhatt’s film
Jasmin Bhasin was recently in news for the reports about her Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming movie. However, it seems things did not turn out as expected for Jasmin. The actress has backed out of the project.
Talking about it in a recent interview, Jasmin said, “I am new to the industry and it’s just the beginning of my career. I have done only one Punjabi film. I would like to explore all the genres before committing to one project.”
Reacting to the reports about her Bollywood debut she said, “I was supposed to do a film produced by Vikram Bhatt production house and it was written by Mahesh sir, to be directed by Vikram sir’s associate. But the thing that did not work out was that we were supposed to shoot that film when I was doing Honeymoon and hence it got postponed a little. Eventually, we reached a stage where I did not have the dates and the movie was supposed to go on the floor. I just felt it was a sign from the universe that because it kept getting pushed so much for some reason, I should take a step back.”
She added, “I humbly apologized to Vikram sir, and he was, of course, very sweet about it. Mutually, we decided that if it is not working out, and since it’s already been two years, we should let go of it. Unfortunately, I’m not doing that film, but I’ll always be thankful to Vikram sir for the opportunity.”
Jasmin is hopeful about her Bollywood debut happening soon. “I am giving all the auditions that I’m called for and have not left any effort from my end. I’m keeping my spirits and hopes high, as it’s my dream, and I believe in making my dreams come true,” she smiles.
