Gangadhar informs that day after tomorrow on Basant Panchami is an ideal and auspicious time for Riddhi and Neel’s marriage. Parameshwari finalizes the decision, affirming that the wedding will take place soon. She offers Kanchan sweets to celebrate, but Kanchan refuses, reminding Parameshwari of her diet. In response, Parameshwari suggests she drink cold water instead and shares sweets with others. Kanchan walks away, reflecting on Gangadhar’s comment about Riddhi and Neel’s perfect horoscope match.
Kamlesh and Vicky approach Kanchan, mocking her failed attempts to stop the marriage. Vicky speculates that Neel might bring his entire family to live with them after the wedding. Kamlesh paints a grim picture, urging Kanchan to imagine what chaos those beggars would cause if they moved in.
Riddhi confronts Neel, accusing him of hiding their marriage plans from his family. She expresses disbelief that he kept such an important matter a secret. Neel explains that marriage holds deep significance for his family and insists they are different from her father. Offended by the mention of her past, Riddhi warns Neel never to bring it up again and demands complete honesty moving forward. She storms off, leaving Neel anxious about how to tell his family about becoming a ghar jamai (live-in son-in-law).
Parameshwari informs Kanchan that she must wash Neel’s feet as part of the next ritual. Kanchan refuses, but Sumati insists she fulfill the tradition. Parameshwari adds that Sumati must also wash Riddhi’s feet. Sumati agrees without hesitation, while Parameshwari urges Kanchan to comply for Riddhi’s happiness. Reluctantly, Kanchan agrees but secretly plans to turn the situation to her advantage with Kamlesh and Vicky’s help.
When Riddhi and Neel arrive, Kanchan initiates the ritual. Parameshwari explains that Kanchan will wash Neel’s feet, while Sumati will wash Riddhi’s. Riddhi tries to stop Sumati, saying she cannot allow someone like a mother to her to touch her feet. Sumati insists, stating it is a tradition she will not back away from. Riddhi compromises, asking Sumati to wash only her thumb, referencing Parameshwari’s earlier claim about the shivling being connected to the thumb. Gangadhar supports Riddhi’s suggestion.
Neel proposes that Kanchan wash only his thumb as well, but Kanchan insists on washing his feet. Vicky arrives with hot water, and Kanchan pours it over Neel’s feet. Despite the burning pain, Neel remains stoic and refuses to react. Kanchan taunts him, urging him to scream, but Neel calmly explains that showing pain would give her victory and cause Sumati to cancel the wedding—something he won’t let happen. Kanchan, frustrated, reminds him of how she burned his house. Neel responds by telling her to keep bringing it up so he never forgets his determination for revenge.
