The world in under the serene roofs of their homes and no one is stepping outside and will not do the same for the next 14 days well. The home quarantine is at it’s peak and we are doing our best hooking on to the TV screens, watching the best of old shows and well, reading a few stories which make us feel that love is in the air again.

And the couple for today is none other than our Favorite, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya
HOW THEY MET?
Divyanka, who was dating television actor Ssharad Malhotra for a long period of ten years,broke up with him. She was devastated and was going through a tough time. Then to take her though the dark days, she found a friend in her co-star Vivek Dahiya. They didn’t fall in love right away. Infact it was opposite of love at first sight. The two dated and didn’t let the news of it slip out in the media.
In one of her interviews,Divyanka stated,’’There was no courtship as we were looking at the relationship culminating into marriage. We just wanted it (the ceremony) to be a private affair and didn’t want to jinx it. Now, we are madly in love with each other.”
‘’ One of the people associated with the show who felt that we had many common traits–we don’t party, drink, smoke–introduced us.”
And Vivek said,‘’It wasn’t love at first sight. It was an arranged match. We were introduced by a common friend who is also a fellow actor. Then we started looking at each other from a life partner’s perspective. We often met after work and eventually started understanding that we are very compatible and similar to each other and we can take it further’’
WHO PROPOSED TO WHOM?
He proposed Divyanka on her birthday. They both went to Bengaluru to visit Divyanka’s family. Divyanka narrated,“We went to Bangalore and it was the first time Vivek was meeting my parents. Though we were aware about our feelings, I never thought that he will take a step further. My birthday falls on 14 December and my mother’s birthday falls on 13 December. So, after celebrating my mom’s birthday, we went out for dinner. I was expecting that after coming back home, I will get some surprise but, never expected something grand like this.”
“When I entered my home, I witnessed the entire place was brightly decorated with light and flower petals. At the end of the passage Vivek was standing with a t-shirt in his hand. The specialty about the t-shirt was, on one part it was written that ‘You are an answer to every questions’, while on the other it was written that ‘Divyanka marry me’. Moreover, the words he said I will never forget those. He stated that I have everything that one can gift, the only I don’t have is commitment and he was ready to present me with that. It is one of the unforgettable moments of my life. I was waiting for this day for my entire life”.
ENGAGEMENT
The two got engaged in a private ceremony in Chandigarh. Divyanka said,”Dus din pahle maine bhi nahi socha tha ki ye dhamaka doongi. We were going to Chandigarh to meet Vivek’s family. We thought when everybody likes everyone, then why not turn this into an engagement.”
WHAT MADE THEM FALL IN LOVE?
On being asked what they like the most about each other, Divyanka said that it was Vivek’s simplicity that attracted her towards him. She also added that he really takes care of her and makes her feel comfortable.
Vivek said,”‘She manages her personal and professional life really well. That she does it beautifully and effortlessly. Sometimes I have to look out for her so that she gives some time for herself to sleep. She can compromise on all those things to balance it out. I feel guilty but it is not something that many would do for their partners.’’
FINALLY THEY GOT MARRIED
The two love birds finally said their vows to each other and got married. The lavish wedding in Bhopal was followed by a royal reception in Chandigarh. And, the celebrations didn’t end there. This was then followed by a star-studded reception party that took place on July 14, 2016, in Mumbai’s Opa Bar and Cafe.
