Gauri initially refuses Vihaan and walks away with her luggage. However, when she turns back, she sees him, only to watch him vanish suddenly. Alarmed, she rushes after him but finds no trace, sensing that something is amiss. When she calls Charu for help, there’s no answer. Desperate, Gauri races home, only to receive a video call showing Vihaan dragging Charu in his car. Gauri warns him that he will not harm Charu, but Vihaan surprises her by asking if she will marry him. He then locks Charu in his car, giving her 20 minutes to decide, and threatens that unless Gauri appears at the Mahakal temple to wed him, Charu will die. Amidst Charu’s coughing and pleas for help, Gauri concedes to the marriage—but only if Vihaan promises to leave Charu, as she feels undeserving of such danger. After hanging up, everyone awaits Vihaan’s arrival by Arjun.
At the temple, Vihaan stands waiting in a red veil. When Gauri arrives, she confronts him, accusing him of coercing her into marriage merely to save her from danger and secure his family’s future. She bitterly claims that her presence would bring nothing but ruin to his family and vows never to show her face, pleading instead that he leave Charu alone. Undeterred, Vihaan places the red veil on her forehead, holds her hand, and leads her to the Mandap.
As prayers fill the air, Harsh struggles to bring the vermilion, even as a phone call interrupts him. Vihaan and Gauri proceed slowly; Vihaan drags her along, leaving her sandals behind, while time slips away and the nakshatras intensify around Arjun. Sitting together, Vihaan asks Gauri to give him her hand. The pandit offers flowers and rice, which he burns in the fire, instructing the couple to rise for the phere. Despite Gauri’s bleeding feet and near collapse, Vihaan supports her through each round. Meanwhile, the protector, feeling guilty, rescues Harsh using the sanjeevani, allowing him to recover.
Carrying Gauri in his arms, Vihaan ensures that the ritual is completed. With Dadi praying for the family’s well-being, the pandit directs Vihaan to apply vermilion on Gauri’s hairline, assisted by Harsh. Yet, as Vihaan prepares to finish the rite, Gauri stops him, declaring that the act of applying vermilion is no trivial matter and protesting that he is forcing her into a marriage she does not want. She admits that neither of them believes in love, but insists they must marry to protect their family honor. Resolute in his duty to save his family, Vihaan completes the ritual.
