The episode opens with Anvita walking out of her house after pouring her heart out to Virat. Frustrated and emotionally shattered by her parents’ manipulative behavior, she feels like no one truly understands her. Virat tries to reason with her, believing that Hetal — her mother — has changed for the better. But Anvita knows her mother too well; she’s seen Hetal’s deceitful side and how far she can go to protect herself. The disagreement between Anvita and Virat deepens.
Virat advises Anvita to “go with the flow” and allow Hetal to be involved with the family again, thinking that time might heal things. He insists Hetal has a mother’s right to be part of their lives. But to Anvita, his words feel like betrayal. She feels unseen and unheard by the one person she trusted most.
Anvita, now completely broken, walks aimlessly to a nearby park. Her tears mix with the silence around her. Virat, though still upset, asks Diya to check on her. Diya reaches the park, pretending it’s her own idea and not Virat’s request. She sits beside her best friend and gently lifts her spirits, reminding her that the festival of lights shouldn’t be spent in darkness. With warmth and humor, Diya manages to cheer her up and convinces her to return home and celebrate Diwali.
Later that evening, Diya visits Anvita’s house to collect some of Anvita’s belongings. Hetal, surprisingly calm, allows her to take them without any objection. But beneath her pleasant smile, Hetal seems strangely confident — unaware that her daughter has already begun seeing through her lies.
Elsewhere, Virat feels the emptiness of Diwali more than ever. The day that once brought him joy now reminds him of loss — of his brother, who died because of his father’s actions. His mother, Urvashi, worries about his growing bitterness. She notices how he’s taken up driving jobs to fund his education, refusing to accept a single rupee from his father. When she questions him about Anvita, Virat stays silent, torn between love and guilt.
Meanwhile, Diya’s mother expresses her disapproval of Diya’s friendship with Anvita. She doesn’t like Anvita’s rebellious nature and calls her stubborn — not knowing that Anvita has secretly been living under her roof.
That night, Anvita lies awake, haunted by her fight with Virat. Across town, Virat too can’t sleep, his mind replaying every word they exchanged. The emotional distance between them feels heavier than ever.
As dawn breaks, Anvita quietly leaves for work after helping Diya’s younger siblings get ready for school. On her way, she meets Sanjay — the one person who truly supports her decision to stand up for herself. Unlike Virat, Sanjay doesn’t question her. Instead, he praises her courage and determination. Together, they decide to dig deeper and expose Hetal’s fraudulent dealings.
