Ishqbaaz – Rikara Trust 75

Om knocks again but still no response. Om decides to break the door open but then remembers something that Gauri did as Chulbul. She picked the lock when we tried to get inside the doctor’s house.

O(Thinking): Maybe, I can just pick the lock and open it gently. That way, if she is doing something else and does not want to talk to me, then I quietly enter, check to see if she is well and leave. This would be the best of both worlds as Gauri would not notice me and I can see if she is okay.

Om attempts to pick open the lock. In a few minutes, the door opens up.

O(Thinking): Good thing, I watched her pick that lock.

There she sees her lying on the bed. She rolls over and and Om sees her breathing. She was sleeping.

O: Good, she is alive. Gauri is not that weak to take drugs. She built this empire by herself so nothing could bear her down. (Thinking) Sleeping like a little baby, hugging the pink pillow in her hand with her legs spread out and her body in a L shape. . I never noticed how weird her sleeping positions are. That does not look uncomfortable.

Om goes closer to her to position her properly and notices the line of semi-dried tears and the damp pillow. He uses his palm to slowly wipe off her tears and changes the pillow.

O: Even without makeup, she is such a cute pretty doll.

He slowly takes her legs to fix her position and then notices her toe. Her toe nail came out and it was bleeding. Her blanket also had dried blood on it as well. He quietly opens the first aid kit. As he started the first aid, he can that Gauri was wincing in pain so he slows down and watches her sleep peacefully.

O: I am so sorry, Gauri. I would wake up and tell you this, but right now you are happier in your dreams than with me.

As he was doing his last round of the bandage, her legs instantly moved. He looked up and Gauri was staring at him.

G: Don’t you have any manners? How can you come into a girl’s room without knocking especially when she is sleeping?

O: You were… (Thinking) I deserve this. I said the same thing when she came to help me out.

G: Bleeding. (Finishing the sentence.) And I know why you are here. (Crying) You want to see me in pain right?

O: No, Gauri (Taking the first aid box to show her that he came to bandage the wound.)

G: Enough. Stop lying to me.

She unwinds the bandage and squeezes the wound.

G(Crying in pain and anger): Look, now are you happy? I am crying in pain and I hope you are enjoying it.

Om still looks at her face in guilt and does not look at the wound.

G: You are not satisfied right? (And she presses the wound even harder. Blood was dripping down her feet and now on the blankets.

Om looks at her wound and puts his hand on her feet.

O: Gauri, stop hurting yourself.

G: Then, get out!

O: But, you need to dress that.

G: You won’t listen right.

She takes Om’s hands off her feet and gets off the bed. Gauri limps to the closest table and kicks it hard with her injured toe. The wound opens up even more and blood is everywhere.

O: STOP IT (Tears in his eyes) Do not hurt yourself. I… will…leave.

He walks outside and closes the door.

Om cries to his room. (Thinking): You see me as a monster who loves to see you in pain. When will you see the reason why I turned into the monster? The pain of separation turned me into a monster and I need you to reform me.

G(Thinking): Omkara, there were times when I thought I can forgive you. But, every single time, you break my self-respect. You just broke the last straw. Watch what I am going to next.

Promo:
O(Thinking): There is something different about her. Her aura is so different, she is happier…

G: Whatever…I will see you tonight, Omkaraji (Smiling).

Om was just surprised.

O(Thinking): She just called me Omkaraji.

G (Thinking): All I can say is that this is going to redefine our relationship, Om.
