Ishqbaaz – Rikara Trust 66

Same Day – Afternoon

Gauri, Shrenu and Kunal are in one car and Annika, Rudra and Om in another car following Gauri’s car. Rudra was sitting in the back and Annika and Om were sitting in the front.

R: So, where do you think she is going on?

Both, Om and Annika, turn around, and just look at him.

O: Like we know where she is going. I am going to open a foundation that fund brain transplants so as soon as they find a way to operate on humans safely, they can do it for you.

R(Touching his head): My beautiful brain… Om, stop being jealous.

First, Gauri goes to a shopping mall and heads to the loading dock of the mall.

G: I want all of these delivered to this address today. They are expecting this delivery.

A, R and O were still in their car.

R: Who is this for? Is she planning to open up a department store with all this stuff?

A: But, then why would she go to a mall to open a department store. Rudra, what is Shivaye teaching you?

R: Actually, Shivaye has passed the responsibility to Om so you should be asking Om that question.

O: Do you know what I have to put up with every day?

Rudra and Annika laugh. Then Gauri gets into the car and continues driving. Then she enters into a factory. A mattress and pillow manufacturer to be exact.

A: What person takes kids to a factory? Those kids might be bored to death.

O: There is a reason why she is here. Let’s see what happens.

After a few minutes, two big trucks follow Gauri’s car.

R: I told you she is planning to open a department store. This is such a waste of time.

O: Then get out of the car! (He unlocks his door)

R: Yes, in the middle of nowhere. Do you expect me to walk home? I cannot believe you are ditching me for your wife. I never expected you to do this for me.

Om glares at him while Annika laughs.

A(Thinking): Just like his brother. He loves his wife so much but he is not expressing it.

R: Ex-wife.. Calm down.

Om continues to glare at him.

R: What do you want me to say? God, help me with this.

O: Gauri, just call her Gauri. That’s it.

A (Laughing): But, Gauri said that she specifically wants you to call her Kesha.

O: You too. (Puts his hands up) Why are you guys doing this to me?

Then, Gauri’s car turns into an orphanage. It was called the Sarma orphanage.

O(Thinking): Oh, Gauri Kumari Sharma. No matter how many times I correct you, you will never change (laughing in the inside). It will always be Sarma for you.

They park the car outside and walk to the orphanage. There were close to 6 trucks lined up. Gauri is standing there holding their two kids by their hands. Then, close to 100 kids come running to her, screaming Happy Birthday Ma!!

She kneels down and there was a group hug. Om starts to tear up.

O(Thinking): Again, I degraded her character. I thought Shrenu and Kunal were her kids but she ended up being a mother for 100 kids. She has such a big heart and I always ended up crushing it.

A: When she said it was a responsibility, this is what she meant. She felt responsible to take care of these kids.

G: Guys, I am feeling uncomfortable in this dress. I will be back and we can celebrate my birthday.

Then, Gauri goes inside with a small bag. In 15 minutes, she comes back out changed in a green and orange salwar with long earring and bangles with decorations dangling from it.

Male Saathiya plays.

O(Thinking): She is still here. The old Gauri. The one I fell in love with it.

G(Smiling): Now it is time to celebrate.

Two men bring a huge cake and puts it on the table. Gauri first feeds all the kids and they have a typical Birthday celebration. A kid from behind takes a piece of cake and smear it on her face. Giggling, Gauri starts to run and a group of kids chases her with cake in their hands. After a while, she stops and all the kids take turns putting cake on her face.

Om and Gauri remember the time when they smeared cake on each other’s face. Om, running around like a clown with his huge grin.

G(Thinking): This is only the place where people do not judge me for who I am. I can smile and do whatever I want and no one question will me.

O (Thinking): At last, I see that smile. God, I just hope for the rest of her life, she never loses this smile.
