The next day, Om gets up and checks his phone. There were 28 missed calls and 53 text messages.
O: What the hell? My phone was on silent so I could not hear anything. (He decides to call him back to see what the problem is.)
Man (M): We just received your artwork for the exhibition and they are incomplete. I have a half painted flower and other stuff that is not completely finished.
O: That is not possible. I checked before I sent it and they were all good.
M: Well, there is nothing I can do. I cannot put these in the exhibition.
O: I need to come there and check it out. I will be there in 1 hour.
Om gets ready and then gets another call.
Woman (W): Hello, is that Mr. Omkara?
O: Yes.
W: I received your artwork and this is not what I asked.
O: You asked for the painting with rabbits and a rainbow in the background right.
W: Yes, but I have received a canvass with spots of black painting. I expected you to be professional being a Oberoi.
O: Mam, me being Oberoi has nothing to do with my professionalism. I will sort this out for you and send you the right painting.
As he was going to the exhibition, he has been receiving complaints regarding his painting.
O: Someone sabotaged me. But why? It is probably Tej but this would be an all time low for him.
Om heads to the exhibition hall and looks at the artwork.
O(Thinking): This is not even my artwork. Who switched it all up?
Then he feels a hand on his shoulder. He turns to see who it is and it was Gauri. Gauri just keeps her hand on his shoulder.
G (whisper): I changed everything. Now all your clients are mad at you and I have ruined your reputation. No one will purchase your artwork.
O(Smiles): Art is something that people treasure. Just cause you ruined does not mean these people will stop buying from. As long as I have the inspiration and the will to create good pieces, people will keep on buying it from. You can boast all you want but you have lost to me. (He walks away.)
G: Fine then, plan c. (She takes her phone and makes a call.)
This is a short chapter but I will updating another one today because there has been a lot of requests to show that Gauri actually cares for Om. The next chapter will have that.
