At Gauri’s graduation ceremony
Principal: Now, this year’s class topper, Gauri Kumari Sharma, will give us a speech. Gauri heads up the stage and scans the audience.
G(Thinking): Where is he? I cannot find him. They will not let me wait for me.
Then she notices a man who was standing at the back, come up and take the front seat. It was Om. She smiled at him but he just sits down. He gives her a thumbs up and tells her to continue.
Gauri first talks about the school, her experiences with the professors and friends. The parties and the great time they had together. And then…
G: A student’s backbone has always been their family. But for me, I did not have that family support when I first came to this city. My mom was ill and at that time, the only thing I can think of was how to help her out. (She looks at Om. ) And then, I met a family who took me in like their own. (Even though there was an audience, it was like she was only talking to her). They took me in as their servant but treated me as their family. They gave me this education and it is because of him… I mean them I am standing here in front of you. Thus, I would like to call up Omkara Singh Oberoi to receive this award on behalf of me.
Om looks surprised and stays in his seat.
G: Please, Om. Come up and accept this award. Without you, I would have been dead by now.
Om comes up and the principal gives him the award.
O: Wait.. (Gauri looks at him at a confused state, clueless on what he was going to do next.) I will like to make a confession. I think this is the perfect time to tell you about the truth behind Gauri.
O: The Gauri infront of you … (He pauses and looks at Gauri.)
G(Thinking): Is he going to tell everyone that I am his wife. (Gauri steps up and stands beside him.)
O: She is not who you think she is. There is an evil b****h behind that mask she wears.
G( Just looks at him, shocked) (Thinking): Omkaraji, what are you saying? What is happening here?
O: At first, I thought she was a nice girl as well and took her in as a worker. But, after investigating her past, I found she had several affairs with men.
He talks about Kaali.
O: Kaali was just a few of the men she trapped. She stripped them clean and made them beggars. I do not know why she entered my house and who she was targeting. But, from this speech, I found out that I was her next target. Do you think a girl like this deserves an award like this? She should be thrown out of this hall.
The principal nods his head and puts the award on the table. Gauri does not know what to do. She runs off the stage and heads outside crying. As she runs out, people start talking ill about her character.
G(Thinking): Om, why did you that? You promised that you will forget about my past but again you brought it up.
Om heads outside and sees Gauri sitting on a bench. He goes up to her and drags her into this car.
O: I NEED TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING.
He drives to a building and takes her into an elevator. It goes to the top floor. The door opens and they are on the rooftop of the building. The roof was beautiful decorated with flowers and in each corner, there was a painting of her. When you look down at the glass floor, you can see blue clear water underneath the glass. In the middle, there was a table with a single candle lit.
O (Angry): I did that all for you. I set this up and wanted to propose to you. But, from the private investigator, I found out that you lied to me. Not only you played with Kali’s life but also was involved with at least 3 men. So Gauri, what did you do with the money?
Gauri looks at him angrily and slaps him.
G: You promised me that you will not mention my past to anyone. But, you just embarrassed me in front of everyone at the ceremony.
O: Gauri!! (He lifts his hand to slap her but does not) I cannot touch you. If I do, I will come down to your level. I even planned to give you this ring (he opens up the box and shows her the ring. She can see rikara written on the band) But you do not deserve this. He drops the ring on the floor and crushes it with his feet. The diamond comes off from the ring.
O: Gauri, I hate you and will get rid of you. But, first I need to divorce you.
G: I do not a divorce. I want you.
O: If you would have told me before, I would have accepted you in a heart beat. But now, I understand that you want to steal the Oberoi fortune.
G: I had the opportunity to do it but I never did because I loved you.
O: Yes, if you did it then, you would have been caught and gone to jail. But, by marrying me, it would be easier for you to steal.
He drags her back into the car and goes to the court room.
O: Clean up yourself and stop with your fake tears. Everyone knows that the truth behind it. Now, here is what you wil do. You will come inside with me and say that this is a mutual divorce. If you do not do what I say, I will pull your mother out of life support and within two minutes, she will be dead.
G: How can you do that? You said that you treated her as your own mother.
O: How can I treat her as my mother if she raised a sl*t like you?
G: Om, shut up!! You can say anything about me but one more time, you bring my mother into this, I will bring yours and it will not end well.
Gauri steps out of the car and heads to the court room. As negotiated, she agrees to the mutual divorce and gets no alimony.
Both of them head outside.
O: I do not care what you do. Just come to the Oberoi Mansion and collect your stuff. It is all over. Also, one more thing, give me that necklace. You lost my right to bear my name.
G: I will always be Gauri Kumari Sharma but this necklace (showing the necklace to Om) is mine. I bought it with my own money and only I decide when to wear it.
He takes the car and leaves. Gauri does not have her wallet or phone and decides to walk to the Oberoi mansion.
It is dark outside and Gauri is still walking. All of sudden she hears barking and stray dogs were chasing her. She had to run for her life and she hid behind a truck. The dogs ran past her.
G( Thinking): Why did he do this? What happened that made him change his mind like this? He was mean to me but he was never heartless. I am so thirsty but I do not even have money to buy water.
As she was walking, both her shoes rip and she was forced to walk barefoot. By the time, she reached home, both her legs were oozing with blood.
She enters into the mansion and sees the entire family there, with her suitcase packed.
O: There she is, the famous liar. Man look at her acting, she looks like she has gone through a lot just to get sympathy.
G: Om please try to understand. (Then Gauri faints. The entire family takes their first step to help her but…)
O: Stop!! She just started her Let’s cheat the Oberoi Mission. No one will help her.
They all look at Gauri on the floor.
Note: I know you guys all wanted to Rikara to be together and I understand your feelings after watching four weeks of Ishqbaaz and seeing everyone crying. I want Gauri to leave and fight for herself instead of crying. A kind request: Please do not stop reading just because they separated.
