Gauri is at home studying. Typical day at the Oberoi Mansion. Gauri was tired so she decided to take a walk outside. As she was walking past Shivaye’s room, she hears a few words, which catches her attention. Car Accident, 1 person hurt, Omkara
G(Thinking): Omkaraji, what happened to him?
Gauri does not enter the room but stay outside and eavesdrop on their conversation.
A: Is he okay?
S: When Om called, he said that he is going to the hospital for treatment and the car was severely damaged. After that, he did not call him and I tried calling him several times but he did not pick up.
R: Maybe you should call again. I will ask Bhavya to use her resources and find out about him.
Gauri started panic and soon as she saw Rudra heading out, she hides.
G(Thinking): How can I go to them and ask how Om is? (Gauri calls his phone, but still no response). Please pick up, Omkaraji.
She was very tensed and then had an idea. She went downstairs to the living room and turned on the local news to see if there was any accidents. She also uses Internet chachi to see if there are any accident headings. One popped out. A major accident where one person is taken to the hospital. She looks at the pictures and it was a black car, the same one as Om.
Gauri started crying and called him again but still no response. She decided to go to accident scene to see if she can find Om there.
Gauri takes an auto to the scene and there was a major build up traffic. She had no choice but to go closer to the scene to see if Om is there. She was so worried about him that she did not notice her dress being stuck on the door handle of her car. The dress ripped, exposing her hips.
Gauri used hands to cover it up and despite the people looking at her, still went forward. She looked extremely tired and heavily exhausted but she did not care. She needed to find Om. She finally gets to the scene and sees the car. The driver side of car flipped over and the door complete gone inside. She tried to ask an officer where the patient is admitted but there were not willing to answer her questions.
She looks for her phone but she left it at home. The only way to find about Om is to head back home.
Gauri goes home, but due to the heat exhaustion and the stress, it was very difficult to take a step forward. But, her will to find about Om, made her go towards her home. As she enters, she sees a man with her hair out.
S: Gauri, where did you go?
The man turns around and it was Om. He runs toward Gauri and could not believe in the state she was in. Her dress ripped, covered in dirt. Beads of sweat covering her face. Gauri was glad to see him.
G: Are you fine? (She could see blood stains on his shirt) Are you hurt? (She touches his face and arms, checking to see if there were any wounds. But, she could not find any.)
O: (Om passes a glass of water to Gauri) Here, drink this first. Gauri, I am fine. There was a guy in an accident so I stopped and helped him out.
Gauri drops her glass and stares at him. Then, SLAP! She gives him a tight slap on his face. The sound echoed in the mansion and everyone, including Dadi was surprised.
D: Gauri??
G: Are you crazy? Do you know how worried I was when they told me you were in an accident? I called you several times but you did not pick up.
O: I was with the patient.
G: (Gauri was not crying, she was furious) Wasn’t there a phone nearby? You could have used a payphone. I ran like a mad woman to the accident scene. My dress ripped but I did not care because I only wanted to know you were okay. As I was in the auto, all these thoughts of you in the hospital came up but I consoled myself, saying that you are going to be fine.
O: I called you back but you did not take your phone.
G: I left it but still that does not mean you call your family.
O: I told Shivaye about the accident.
Gauri looks at Shivaye and he nods back.
G( Thinking): So, I just misunderstood everything.
G: Do whatever you want to do! I do not care!
Gauri did not want to talk to anyone and just walks away. Om goes to aid her.
G: Do not touch me. I do not need your help!
O: Bhavya, can you please go to Gauri and makes sure she is well hydrated? I put her through all this trouble. I should have called her back as soon as I got the phone call. But, I thought I will call her back after I leave the hospital.
Annika and Bhavya heads toward Gauri’s room and Om heads toward his.
Gauri’s room
G( Thinking): I was so stupid. Every single time I want to ignore, my natural instinct is to protect him. And he does not care what I go through.
Bhavya and Annika knocks on the door.
G: Please come in.
Gauri goes back to her complaining.
G: From now on, I will not care about him. He can jump off a cliff for all I care,
A: Your heart says something else. You ran for him to see if he was okay. Despite all the body pain and conditions, your priority was finding about Om. That is true love.
B: You can lie to yourself but in the end, your heart will take over just like it did today.
Om’s room
O: Why was she screaming like this? If she would have just asked Shivaye, then he would have told her everything. Instead she jumps to conclusions and get hurt and blames me for it.
S: You still do not understand she did all that for you (Shivaye and Rudra walk in).
R: You can see from her face how worried she was. She slapped you because she was frustrated you.
S: That is true love, and you need to understand that if you guys want to be together.
O: What is the point of love…
Back in Gauri’s room
G: If he does not realize why should I care for him?
