Ishqbaaz – Rikara Trust 25- Sorry

Sorry for posting the wrong one! Here is Chapter 25.

O: What were you doing here? Do you know how worried I was? Thank goodness I bought you that phone. I tracked you here.

G: Let me show you?

Gauri takes them to a shack and shows them all the kids.

G: These kids have been forced to beg for these men. I found a boy and he told me his entire story so I thought I can help him.

S: What if something happened to me?

G: I save 25 lives. I do not care what happens to me (Om was touched by her response. How can a person so fixated with money care about others? )

G: Can you guys do me a favour?

O: You are tired, you should go home and rest.

G: There is something I need to do before that. Please understand.

Gauri takes all the kids and they get into their cars. Gauri takes the remaining kids into an auto.

G: Bade Bhaiyya, follow me. (Everyone was confused as they did not know what Gauri was going to do with these kids.)

Gauri stops at a local store and purchases chocolate, chips and other goodies that was enough for approximately 50 kids.

O (Om was lost with Gauri’s actions and decided to confront her) : Are you going to eat all that? That is a lot of calories?

G (Smiles): You are so silly. Just give me another 5 minutes and I will show you.

O (Thinking): This is is the first time she smiled at me. I want her to smile like that every day. Let’s see what she does.

Om gets into the car.

R: What did she say?

O: She said that she will show me. I did not want to be mean to her again so let’s just follow her.

Everyone was shocked. Usually, Om would have demanded answers but instead he was patient and waiting for Gauri’s response.

Gauri stops at a school. All the kids run up to her (Screaming Gauri Didi!) and hugs her.

Om did not expect this. These kids were disabled but still were happy without realizing the deformities they were born with. The caretaker comes out and greet Gauri.

C: Gauri, how are you? And this is your husband, Omkara?

O: Yes mam, Omkara S..

G: This is my husband, Omkara. Just Omkara.

Gauri also introduces everyone else to the caretaker.

The caretaker takes them for a tour.

C: Gauri has been helping us out for ever since she came to this city. She organizes small events for the kids and also is in charge of seeking donors. We have a lot of kids here who smiles with their heart without considering their disability. The girl there, affects Gauri the most. She was a top student but slowly started losing her ability to speak and write. Doctors have suggested treatment but it requires more money. Gauri has raised 75% of the money and hopes to get the operation done in another 6 months.

They all look at Gauri and are surprised by her maturity. The Oberoi family has several charities. Instead of using those charities or even using the Oberoi name, she has raised money for these kids.

Gauri passes the bags of food to Omkara and asks him to distribute it. At first, he was hesistant seeing the kids because he did not want to show them that he felt sorry for them. But these kids welcomed him and he was laughing.

Annika, Rudra and Bhavya went to the park with the kids and start playing hide and seek with them.

Shivaye goes up to Gauri.

S: I am so proud that you are my sister. This is the first time I felt so relaxed. Just seeing these kids and their worry free life shows that life is not about what you accomplish but whether you have enjoyed every step of your life. I have never seen Om come out of shell like this. Thank you.

Gauri smiles at him and both of them head towards the kids and start playing with them.

They all come home and Omkara is in his room thinking about these kids.

O: Gauri did not use my name because she wanted to help these kids. We do it for publicity. I need to help her but without using the Oberoi name.
