It was Gauri’ first day at DF (Designer Fashion) industries and she was excited. She walks in with a yellow salwar and she notices that everyone is giving her a weird look. She goes to her office and hears a girl talking to her friend.

Girl: I cannot believe she is wearing that disgusting salwar. This is a designing company and she should wear something modern.

G(Thinking): What do these girls know about what I like to wear? I cannot say anything as I do not want to rub people in the wrong way? I cannot change because of these people.

Those girls later enter her office room. Gauri was the only person there so it was two against one.

Girl 1: What is that, yellow thing that is dangling from your bangles?

G: Have you ever visited a saree shop before? By looking at the way you have dressed, a so called modern girl like you would never understand the beauty the jewelry I am wearing.

(Girl 2 pulls it off the bangle.)

Gauri starts to look around and tears formed up in her eyes.

G(Thinking): They are right. I cannot even speak English so how can I respond to people when they ask me a question.

From the corner of her eyes, she can see the CEO’s secretary walking out his office. She heads toward them. Gauri quickly wipes her tears

She passes an envelope to each girl. They open it up and are surprised.

G2: But, madame. We will never do it again.

The two girls leave.
