CHAPTER 39
Om enters ishi’s ward…….and sat near her…… Ishi was in deep slumber while……. Om was in deep thoughts……..
Om was constantly recalling his convo with shivaay……that happened just few minutes……. Shivaay’s words were ringing in his ears…..
FLASHBACK…
Shiv- He is guilty Om…..He is dying each day…..to listen PAPA from u….. He is not expecting ishi to call him so……but he is expecting u to call him PAPA…… Don’t u think its height of being GREAT……. I am seeing him like that especially after all that……happened with ishi……. He knows that this girl can never accept him…..and even this family……but……but…..why cant u forgive him……??

OM’S POV…
He is thinking all this in his mind…..
U might be right shivaay…… And to some extend……even i am feeling so….. I have seen him coming here daily…….to meet ishi……but he was not able to collect all the strength………to face any of us…….. I have seen the TRUE GUILT in his eyes…….and I have seen him feeling suffocated………by the thought of loosing this family………but still he is strong……he is strong to face all of us……daily…..with no traces of love in our eyes……..
I was not that strong…….never…… I was a weak man……but these three examples……in my life……r somewhat that I can never be…….. One was MAMU……his strength…….his mental power…….his bearing power……his intelligence…..his patience……his dedication towards Ishi………his confidence…….everything is just remarkable…..
Then ishi….. I think that she is truely their daughter…….the way she is strong……independent……bold……powerful……capable…..soft hearted……full of charm….. She clearly is the shadow of MAA….. Then the way she is mindful……she is passionate……confident……daring…….business minded……dedicated…….she is the reflection of Mr. Oberoi…….
And third……I never thought to take ur name here…….but its u…..Mr. Oberoi……. Through all these years…… I have seen u struggling and juggling between work and home…… U were not bad…..but ur companions were…….especially….SVETLANA…… I know that she trapped u…….but u too fall in her trap…… I don’t know knowingly or unknowingly…….whatever it was…..but u literally hurt my mother…….. U didn’t cared for her that time…….and this was another reason I hated u……. Maybe after the revelation of truth……that u r not my father…….. I would have been continued calling u what u were to me……..but the way u treated all of us……specially mom and Rudra……..this hatred developed in me……for u…… And today when I see u like that…… I feel pain….coz somewhere or other I am analysing ur mentality……..and now I am feeling that to some extent u were right…….
Trust me……today when shivaay asked me to call u that……. I was stuck in dilemma that what to do……. On one hand I want to free u from ur guilt…….by calling u…….. But other hand…… I get reminded of the PROMISE THAT I MADE TO ME…..
FLASHBACK…
After Om….get to know about the truth…..he turned quite….for few days….. And slowly and gradually he developed a kind of hatred towards…….tej…. One day he saw…… Tej shouting at jhanvi……and that time noone else was at home…… Both of them were fighting…… Tej was dominating……while jhanvi was a kind of defending……and she was crying badly…… Om was hiding behind curtains…….and was witnessing the whole scenario……
The fight grew wilder……..and the mouth fight turned to a strong fight…….. Tej took a flower vase kept at the side table……and threw that on jhanvi…… Which hit her head…..and it started bleeding……. Seeing this Tej calmed down a bit……as jhanvi fainted due to the hit……and Om ran away from the place……as he was just a kid……
He actually missed seeing how tej helped jhanvi…..and how he bandaged her wound…..
Om came to his room with eyes filled up with tears……..and shut the door with bang…….. He sat on the floor…….and burst into tears……. While he was crying he was reminiscing all the incidents of the past…….. He was frustrated……and he stood up……. He started talking to himself……. He said,” What do u think of urself…….u can’t hurt my ma like this…….u know what…..if u will do so then I have learned the same from u……..TODAY I PROMISE MYSELF……THAT I’LL NOT CALL U PAPA……..TILL THE DATE U REALISED UR MISTAKES…… AND TILL UR ACTUAL DAUGHTER AND MY MOTHER DIDN’T FORGIVE U WHOLEHEARTEDLY FOR WHAT U HAVE DONE TO THEM………. THAT’S MY PROMISE TO ME…..”
FLASHBACK ENDS….
Next morning….
Both Om and ishi were sleeping…… Om slept there only……..while thinking about the past……
Anika and Rudra entered the ward……..and saw the two sleeping peacefully…….. Rudra thought something and winks at Anika…….while understanding him……. Anika coughed loudly…….due to which Om got up…….. Anika then opened the curtains……..and the bright sunrays……….entres the room bringing in all the fresh vibes……….and disturbing ishi’s sleep……..
Slowly ishi too got up and saw the three of them standing and starring her……….with love clearly visible in their eyes…….. Now Anika signed Rudra…….and he took Om away from there although Om desisted………
Anika took a seatnear ishi and caresses her hairs and face……with a sister’s love…….and slowly asked her……
Anika- How r u now feeling Chutki….
Ishi smiled brightly listening Chutki from Anika……and responded in positive…….although she didn’t spoke much….. Anika too smiled…..and now cheerfully she continues……..
Anika- Ok then…..get ready……we r going back home……
Ishi too smiled with the hope to meet Mamu there…….and asked…
Ishi- (in a slow and soft voice) How…..d..did….doc….allow…ed…..to….dis..c..harge……..me….soo……soon…..?? Is….there anything……..spe….cial….??
Anika – (making a face as if she forgot something) O Bete Ki…… Happy birthday meri Chutki……. Look….u forgot that…..and now u made me forget too…….. By the way…..how did u forgot this early……… I mean last night only Om and u celebrated…….right (and she bit her tongue)
Ishi was giving confused reaction to her……which Anika understood……
Anika- U chill and relax……. There is something special that we have planned for u both……… So ur presence is required………plz rest properly…..so that u can enjoy our surprise………. And yeah…..not to forget……..THIS DAY IS GONNA TO BE THE MOST MEMORABLE DAY OF UR LIFE…….
Anika then got up and helped her sister with all sorts of things she required at the time………and then made her rest……….she then called Rudra……coming to aside……so that ishi can’t listen their convo…….
CALL…
Anika- Hello agent Rudra…..tell me the update…..
Rudra- Agent Bhabhi……leave all this……first listen to me…….was ur mother watching detective shows…….while she was expecting……??
Anika-(shocked) What….?? R u mad….
Rudra- No…coz O….he has eaten my head with all sorts of questions…….about why I dragged himhere……and what r we planning……..and what is that we r hiding from him……?? And…
Anika-(rolled her eyes as she interrupts) Enough….don’t say anything else…… I can’t take these questions anymore……… Its u who have to handle ur brother……… I don’t know how……. But he should not get to know that ishi is getting discharged today……and she is gonna to come there………. Did u get that Agent Rudra……
Rudra-(in a low voice) Yes agent bhabhi….

Whole day Anika was with ishi while Rudra was with Om………and both didn’t let Ishkara meet each other and not even talk to each other……….
At evening……. Shivaay and jhanvi came to take ishi back…….while at mansion…….Rudra ,shakti and pinky were handling Om………as he was hopping like a bunny…….to meet ishi…….and to get what they all have planned……..

The hall was shining with the wonderful decoration adoring and matching the beauty of the family………and the status of Oberoi’s……… There was a kind of rush in the hall as dadi was instructing all the workers…….about the last minute decorations………and also to quickly finish everything……
Tej too was checking up all the preparations by his own…….as according to him…..he didn’t want a single mistake……… As this day is really a remarkable one in his entire life………
There in the room…….OmRu were getting ready as finally rudra told……about the party……..but not about ishi returning oberoi mansion……and a big surprise….that the family had planned for the two……..
There Anika and jhanvi helped ishi in getting ready…….as they told her too about the party……but not about that big surprise………

All were present there…..including OmRu…….guess toohave arrived for the occasion……. While Om was constantly asking Rudra to tell about ishi……that who is with her……she has not recovered fully…..she might need me…..and all that……
This was going on when all the lights goes off……..and a spotlight focused on the door step…..
All shifts their gaze in the door……..while Om questions rudra about what’s going on………to which Rudra replies through gestures that look on……..
There comes jhanvi and Anika holding ishi…….followed by Shivaay with bright smile on his face……… Om was dumbstruck seeing her there….standing in front of him……….that too in a beautiful shaded saree……
He was adoring the beauty standing in front of him……..in tha red and pink shaded sleek georgette saree……..with no makeup or jewellery except for a ring in her middle finger……and dangler in ears…….. Her bandage was actually complimenting her look……her eyes had somewhat lost the previous charm…….. Though they were still having shine in it……… She was somewhat pale……but the smile and happiness covered that too………..
All of them entered the hall……and shivaay joined the duo of OmRu……..accompanied by prinku…….while jhanvi left to dadi and pinky……..and Prinku and RV joined the two girls ie….ishika………
Finally Om’s uneasiness that he was having since morning ended as he saw ishi safe and sound…….he also scanned his bros and sis about the another surprise……..to which they together gestured their shoulders in an up and down move…….having a cute pout on the face……….as if they wanna say WE DON’T KNOW ANYTHING……..
While Ishi looked completely confused…………and rest three at her side smiled actually smirked……
As soon as ishi tried to ask RV about mamu……. Rudra signed him…..and both moved towards stage………
Rudra announced a couple dance for all the lovely couples present there………while RV completed it requesting ishkara to join others……..
Music plays
And all the couples took their positions…….although…….ishkara were just standing near the dancing area…….as ishi was not in a position to dance………

All dances to the rhythmic beat of the song……..with their respective patners…….. Shivika were lost in their previous fights…..moments……and paanibaazi followed by some tadibaazi……. A cute and naughty smile was adoring their faces……
While Rumya was reminiscing the stupid fights between them…….on completing their assignments……..then Rudra’s out of the world description about marriage…….and views on sumos assignment……… Then how both always tease each other for small lil things……….their unforgettable tantrums on sumo’s health………no actually her being fat and not healthy………and Rudra’s free time……or him being lazy and useless………
Leaving all the tensions and without even caring about surroundings………Priveer were lost in their hallucinations for each other……… They were reminiscing all the moments when RV hallucinated prinku being present at his room……….while prinku recalled how she blurted out that she saw RV everywhere……without noticing ishi sitting next to her and overhearing her words……… Both almost laughed remembering…….how ishi told prinku that RV was actually in the garden a night before………and it was not her hallucination……..
Apart from the three couples……. Ishkara were lost in each other……… They too were reminiscing their endless and countless moments………..as if this is the moment they want to capture in their memory………. They were looking into each other’s eyes…….completely lost…..without even caring about where they were……….. They were recalling all their past encounters…….and all that happened just few days ago…….and as soon as this incident striked ishis mind……….she looked at Om with curiosity filled eyes……….. Om understood what she meant…….he took her with him……..and ask her to sit……as she is looking weak…….. He then made an excuse and goes from there……… This was noticed by all the family members……….. Anika goes to ishi to accompany her…….but as usual…..ishi was ready with same question…….
Ishi-(to Anika) Di….where is mamu……is he coming here…… I know he will definitely come……coz till date he has not missed a single birthday of mine…….but why is he so late…….. He always used to wish me first……..but today…….he is not here……..and moreover I am not getting any positive vibe………. I am feeling uneasy……
Anika-(trying to calm her down) Chutki…..relax…..listen to me……don’t take stress……it will just add on to ur pain……..plz…..plz….calm down….and see…..see how happy everyone is……after a long time……..if they will see u sad…..then think what will they feel…….. We all have planned all this for u two……..coz last few days were really very stressful…….and moreover ur wound too is fresh………so just calm down…….don’t pain urself……..
Ishi- Di….u r not getting me……and I am not able to express how am I feeling right away…..especially being here……… U know what my heart is feeling a kind of loneliness……..this kind of feel is so new to me…….. I have not experienced anything like such before………. It’s just piercing my heart…….. I am feeling lonely although I have u all here with me……… Don’t know why but I am missing the shade of love….and care……..the familiar shade……..(and she stops saying so……..and unknowingly her brain played all the past memories………..of her and mamu…….)
Ishi’s POV
I don’t know why all that started playing in my mind…….but that was haunting me……as if something had happened which I don’t know……..or maybe which have been hidden from me……… I got all the flashbacks of me and mamu……. How mamu……used to call me with all those weird names……..how he used to tease me showing fake lizard……wait…. I always knew that it was a fake lizard and not a real one………but still…… I used to hop all over the house………..maybe coz I wanted that smile on mamu’s face to stick up always………..coz he looked damn handsome with that killer smile………
Then how mamu always stopped me from doing any bike stunt………as each time I make a record of hurting up myself…………on each try I make………. Then that incident……..when mamu said……in flow of words that I am not my mother’s daughter…………at which I was shocked………. And Shiv bhaiya and Om too were equally shocked……….listening that…….. That time I thought that it was just his slip of tongue……….but today it seemed that it was the only truth that slipped that time………..
Then how he always solved my problems……how he always listen to all the stupid talks of mine………how he sincerely wanted me to be a good student and learn everything to protect myself in odd situations…….. But the point is……that there is no point to recall al these things……..as we have entire life……to make many new memories with each other………. Then why r these thoughts haunting me……..why I am recalling this phase of my life at once…….. And why for the first time……..i am feeling that my eyes r breaking the promise that I made to him……..why I am feeling a kind of steaming on my cheeks……..or in simple words……why am I crying…….when I have promised him…..to be strong in every situation……….and not to cry ever……no matter what the situation maybe…….
POV ENDS….
Yes her eyes were flowing with tears…….and all the family members were shocked seeing this……..
And the reasons were…..firstly……they have never seen her crying…….and then she was crying…..and smiling…..but she was not getting that why actually she was crying…….
All felt sad….as if something hurt them………. Om left the place as he was not able to see ishi like this……….. Shiv Ru too go behind him………as they too were not sure that till when they will be able to hide the truth from Ishi………..
Anika signed sumo……and both took Ishi to her room……..
While prinku was standing behind dadi……….when she saw tears in RV’s eyes………. She ask dadi…..
Prinku- Dadi….why is this happening to them……who r the purest soul among all of us……..
Dadi-Puttar……..god knows who is capable of facing how much……and so he keeps on testing the ability and capability of all of us……….. Like a person who makes idols……..beat the excess part to bring out the true beauty……….of a simple stone……..just by carving it into a necessary shape……….similarly……. God also takes tests…….in oder to shape ones personality……….
Saying so Dadi leaves……..and prinku kept on starring RV……….while ShivOmRu come back to the party area……… And Anika and sumo too comes with ishi……..
Rudra signed RV…….and both moves forward…….to the center of the stage………… Rudra took the mike……and announced the name of Tej…….to come and give the big surprise to both on and ishi……..
While Rv says……lights off plz……..and the light goes off………and a spot light falls on Tej……….which followed him to the stage…….
Tej took the mike……while RuVeer left the spot…….
Tej- Today……as u all know…..is a big day of my life…………….

So friends done with the update for today……….. Ok before I thank u all for ur awesome words……..and emotions………let me first clear……why I ended MAMU’S CHARACTER……..in this ff……as this was said by max. of u all…….and its my duty to give a justified reason to all my amazing readers…….
So the reason is that………
Sometimes in our life we come across a no. of people……..who just care for us……..more than our family…….friends…..and even us too……. They know us more than anyone can……..and such people come across us through different relations……….that we address………. These people r always around us like a pure shadow which protect us from all the odds……….that help us to face every situation………. U might call them papa……mumma…….bhai…..di…..dost……chachu……chaima……..mamu…..mami…..bua…..fufa…..and much more…….
And the fact is that……..we too care for them…….the same way they do…….its said na…..that we all have a hero or ideal in our life………then this definition that I gave above fits……..in this IDEAL OR HERO of our life……
One such character was MR. KUSHAGRA RAI…..aka MAMU…….who was more like a mentor and ideal to ishi…….and this is what I tried to portray……..and touch wood…….u all loved his character…….
The reason begin ending his character was to LET THE STORY MOVE FORWARD…….
Like Chandini said……that Mamu could have left them forever……..and had gone somewhere else……… She is right in her pov……but for me…..when I think as ishi……i feel……that did ishi ever have let this happen……..would she ever be so strong to leave her mamu……just to get her love (which was unrealized till that incident) and her so called family (as her character was)……. Then…..will it ever be justice to MAMU……who is so great that he didn’t even moved on in his life………..just to take care of his daughter ishi…….. Did he deserve going away……
Yes he deserve going away……..as he has fulfilled all his duties towards ishi……….and going away means………leaving everything when a soul is satisfied……… Since he was satisfied…….to leave ishi with a family…….which would equally…….shower the love on ishi……as he did….. His soul so rested in peace…….
So I really hope that this explanation is worthy of what I did in the previous part………… I have much more to say about this character…….but I will pause here only…….as I feel I have said toooooooo much for now…… So plz don’t get sad as he was just a character………and I guess for u all he was more than just a character……..
