EPISODE 69

ONE YEAR LATER,

OBEROI MANSION,

The mansion was beautifully decorated, today its beauty knew no bounds, happiness dwelling in every corner, and why it wouldn’t after all it was the marriage of Soumya Singh Oberoi with Rudra Kapoor.

Pinky: Oh ho, so much work is left and no one cares.
Ishana: Choti maa, don’t worry, all work will be done.
Jhanvi: When Ishu, the guests will start coming soon.
Omkara: Mom, you all don’t worry, Ishana and I will take care that everything is done on time.

Shakti and Tej come there,

Tej: Did anyone go to the airport to pick up Anika?
Jhanvi: Nahi naa
Shakti: But why?
Pinky: Because your daughter doesn’t want to bother anyone.
Ishana: She said she has landed and will reach in sometime.
Omkara: I’ll go and check on Rudra and Ishana, go and see Soumya.

They all leave for their respective works.

Soumya’s room,

Soumya was sitting on her bed looking at a photo frame, Ishana comes there and sees her, she gets tearful seeing the photo.

Ishana: You are missing him.
Soumya looks up and sees Ishana, she wipes her tears.
Soumya: I have missed him every moment since that day.
Ishana: No one had thought that Shivaay would leave us like this. (She wipes her tears) But if he was with us, he would not like it that you are sitting here like this. So, get up and get ready. Rudra is waiting for you.
Soumya: Let him wait. Anyways I am worth the wait.

Ishana smiles at her antics.

Soumya: When is Anika Di coming?
Ishana: She said she’ll reach in sometime.

LIVING ROOM,

Pinky: Shakti ji, call Anika and ask her when is she coming. The wedding is going to start.
Voice: Mom…

Pinky turns towards the door and tears flow from her eyes. Anika comes and hugs her tightly, she too has tears in her eyes. All of them are happy seeing Anika. She greets them one by one.

Soumya: Di, I missed you so much.
Anika: I too missed you.
Ishana: If you had missed us, you would have never left us like this.
Anika: I know but now I won’t leave you all ever.
Pinky: Really?
Omkara: Haa Choti Maa, Anika is not going anywhere now.
Ishana: So, you knew about this and didn’t tell me.
Anika: I told Om not to tell anyone.
Dadi: Acha bas, chatting will be done later. Let’s start the rituals.

Soumya and Rudra sit down in the mandap. The priest starts with the rituals and the wedding begins.

Anika was standing behind, she had been away from home for ten months, she could not live here with so many memories of Shivaay and her, the place where they used to argue, where they had fights, their water fights, where they got married, where they spent their lovely moments and where she had seen him for the last time at Ishana’s wedding.
Tears collected in her eyes.

Anika (thinking): Shivaay… I wish you were here… Today… Soumya and Rudra are getting married… They are starting a new life together… Shivaay… I miss you so much… I love you Shivaay (A tear escapes her eyes, she wipes it quickly)

AT NIGHT,

SHIVIKA’S ROOM,

Anika feels Shivaay’s presence around her,

Shivaay: I am always with you.
Anika: No, you are not. You left me (Tears flow from her eyes)
Shivaay: No, Anika, please don’t cry. I cannot see you like this.
Anika: Then why did you leave me? Why did you leave me alone? It is all my fault…. I should not have sent you alone…. I should have gone with you…. I let you go alone…. And then you left me…. Why…. Shivaay…. I miss you…. Why did you leave me…. Why….

She sits down crying, Om who was passing by, hears the sound and enters the room. He sees Anika and immediately goes to her. Anika sees Om and hugs him, he caresses her hair.

Anika: Om, why did he leave me? Why? What wrong did I do?
Omkara: Anika, please stop crying. You did not do anything wrong. Please, stop crying.

He makes her sit on the bed and brings water for her. He makes her drink the water.

Anika: Thank you Om. You have done a lot for us. After Shivaay left and I went to London, you and Ishu have looked after everything.
Omkara: It was our duty but now that you are back, you should get back to work. Now, Ishana and I can get back to the work at the academy. Anyways, business is not for us.
Anika: Of course.

Om smiles and Anika smiles back.

Omkara: Good night.
Anika: Good night.

OUTSIDE THE ROOM,

Om comes out and sees Ishana smiling,

Omkara: What happened? Why are you smiling like this?
Ishana: Nothing… Anika and you… Talking like this… It reminded me of Shivaay and me… He used to explain me like this whenever something happened… I miss him so much.

*FLASHBACK*

Ishana’s room,

Ishana was sitting on the bed, she hated lies and liars more than anything, she didn’t care who said that lie to her what mattered was the fact that the person lied and she couldn’t tolerate it, why do people lie, this question made her restless, Shivaay comes there and sees Ishana lost in thoughts, he goes and sits beside her,

Shivaay: Still upset?
Ishana: Why do people lie, I mean there were so many better options to solve the problem but still you all chose a lie?
Shivaay: Maybe the other options couldn’t give the same result.
Ishana: But still was lying the only way?
Shivaay: Maybe not the only way but the only way we could come up with in this time.
Ishana: So you are justifying the lies Om said.
Shivaay: No, I am just telling you not all lies are wrong, if spoken for the right cause can be right also aur waise bhi tumhari us dangerous behen ko wo kaise mana karta.

Ishana looked at Shivaay and they both smiled.

Ishana: Really, now I know, why Anika doesn’t answer you back, you give such answers that the other person has to agree.
Shivaay: Don’t talk about her, uske samne kuch bolna matlab sherni ke muh mein haath dalna.
Ishana: Lekin tum to phir bhi sherni ke muh mein haath dalte ho.
Shivaay: Wo toh hai.

Ishana laughs, Shivaay smiles seeing her.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

Ishana: I miss him so much.
Omkara: I know… Even I miss him so much… He was like my real brother for me.

Ishana hugs Om and he comforts her.

RUMYA’S ROOM,

Rudra: Seeing Anika Bhabhi after so long, I am happy that she came back.
Soumya: I am also happy that she has decided to stay forever.
Rudra: But she must be missing Shivaay Bhaiya more. Being in the place with so many memories of him.
Soumya: You are right. But we would not let her feel alone.

Soumya hugs Rudra and he comforts her.

DADI’S ROOM,

Dadi was sitting with Pinky,

Dadi: Pinky, I think you should talk to Allu first. I think she still need time.
Pinky: I know mummyji, what you are saying? But I know her, she would not agree if I tell her. But she has to move on.
Dadi: Okay, we will talk to her tomorrow.
Pinky: Ji, mummyji.
